What has happened to the 5 major types of programmes television houses boast of in the 80s and 90s? Someone said we're in the 21st century.
No wonder I didn't turn on the TV for a whole 2 weeks while on my annual leave in November/December, except for news by 8pm.

These tv programme contents are either non-existent again or polluted,
1. NEWS: bloody, non-investigative and full of political undertone and campaigns
2. EDUCATION: non-existent except for Nnenna & Friends that I stumbled on recently
3. SPORT:. no grassroot sports again. Foreign football matches are aired instead of broadcasting news. What sport do we do in Nigeria again sef?
4. ENTERTAINMENT: erotic films, Mexican films and local ones with adult content by 6pm when the whole family supposed to be watching educative and real entertainment like comedy ( papa Ajasco or Bill Cosby)
5. MUSIC: we all know what these musicians show case in their videos-not good for children.
For me, tv has lost its relevance and now a mere piece of decoration

Being a PhD holder does not guarantee leadership ability. How old were Obasanjo, Gowon, Murtala etc and what was their educational qualifications when they took up mantle of leadership? In my opinion, only few of those educated elites like Soyinka and his non-partisan colleagues have been able to prove their integrity. Without mincing words, rising to the rank of Major General (considering the level of discipline and intelligence required) in the military cannot be de-emphasized compared to how University certificates are awarded nowadays.
Buhari knows the in-and-out of Nigeria politics but the new bloods know the intricacy better. I watched MKO-Tofa debate and we all saw how Abiola took Tofa back to the classroom. If It's debate, Buhari would deliver. I can't vouch that he would not be temperamental. However, I will be disappointed If President GEJ put up the tricks he exhibited 4 years ago. At least this is another day for him because he ran the other time and they say "He who runs live to fight another day".
