I love dogs. Still waiting to get one... |
Nigerian govt can make a hell of "noise" or is it CNN. What concerns me about the swap? Bring back these girls, if at all they were abducted and silence the BH guys. ALL the rest are none of my business. Make it governance of diplomacy. |
Great work! |
What happened to international relations? Is Nigeria negligent or up to some fraudulent transactions? Perhaps SA is being puppeteered to frustrate Nigeria's effort at becoming a full Giant of Africa. (SA deported some Nigeria some time ago) Whatever, we're watching as everything unfolds. |
The two are incomparable because they set out with different motives and they doing great. NL is a forum. I visit NL daily more than I eat food. Information you get here is first hand, because a Nairalander might be at the scene live. We also have different interests. I've never typed lindaikeji in this life except I'm re-directed there. What are we talking? Make we leave Linda and Seun. They're two great "info-preneurs", if there's any word like that |
mrceo63: 7. Leonardo da Vinci (IQ 180 - 190)WOW! |
I'm seriously laughing at so many "bad belle-ing". Particularly that guy that said he could only afford TECNO. On a serious note, that Sultan GATHER. My take is this. ENJOY LIFE WHILE YOU HAVE IT. Money is meant to be spent ( though wisely ). Those who condemn wealth are those who have none and see no chance of getting it ( William Penn Patrick ) |
I hate mosquitoes and dislikes cockroaches but I fear snakes. It takes real gut to farm those stealthy creatures. I have a friend who's into reptiles in the US. I wonder what they want to benefit from it that would worth the risk |
Unionised: Nope. clean2: That guy is just a fake igbo wanna be . The igbo world wide council disowns him as one of our own . He is an american full bloodedI love these comments and the likes. Whatever, Nigerians condemn this act. That guy is not one of us cos that's not what we stand for. I believe strongly if our political and religious leaders would express their condemnation of the current terrorism in the Northern part, the insurgents and their accomplices would go into hiding. I look forward to a time when we'll come out boldly, without mincing words, and look straight in the eyes of our leaders and tell them "No! Enough is enough". I mean without any bias, ethnic or religious affiliation, we make them realize the current trend is no more popular. However, the change must start from each individuals first. GOD bless Nigeria |
I feel like shedding tears now. 33, 39, 79 and 80 are very touching. Some of those pathetic incidents are better read and imagined than experienced. |
tiwaz: ...and promised that if elected to represent Ogbomoso Federal constituency 1, he will use this salary to do developmental projects in the constituency9ce, 9ce, 9ce! How many times did I call you? I love you. In fact, I love 9ce but this lie I will not tolerate. Why a sudden love for a community you've never lived for a consecutive 3 months. I suspect a hidden agenda. |
Richhommie: 6. The border between india and pakistan - There’s no better vantage point than space to see the expansive beauty of the planet and the interconnectedness of the human race. However, even getting hundreds of kilometers above Earth isn’t far enough away to blur some of the ugly sides of life and the divisions we create between each other.Take, for instance, the man-made border between India and Pakistan. These two countries are at such odds that they’ve erected a physical, militarized border which remains lit by floodlights at night to prevent ammunition trafficking and terrorist crossings. That's one of the sorry cases of human existence that I've read in recent time. Peace to the world |
This OP can ask question. You will soon ask why human die lying down. |
brownlord: They mad, why them go build the house just like my papa own. This guy funny die. I just can't stop laughing. @Topic,.... dat money much. It must be somebody's ambition which another money-bag would aspire to replicate and supersede very soon. |
Do they have to ban ponmon before tanning leather? Let them resuscitate that industry and everything would fall in place. Has all their purported intervention brought down the price of rice? The minister should find something worthwhile to spend his energy on and not ponmon. Maybe he should just face tanning leather. |
Beauty is one characteristic that attracts a man only once but so many others features sustain a relationship. Is the lady really ready to commit herself and comport herself as a woman (and not a girl for life)? OP is a guilty as these beautiful ladies who are not ready to "commit" themselves but you're ready to clean your mouth and publicise it on NL. Leave her and let water find its level. |
Austema: Hi, nairalanders, am d newest member of dis golden site, am Austine, a student of fed.poly.idah, kogi stateyou're welcome guy. embrace my warm arms of love amidst whatever hostility. I promise, you gonna see the best, the good, the bad & the ugly here. #TeamNairaland . other platform sulking, nairaland rocking |
Africa needs radical leaders to move foreword. Imagine, white claiming to own a black soil. White can own houses, companies etc but not land. They must not forget that they'll also have to pay taxes as Africans are milked dry in their land. Better if Zimbabwe would copy Nigerian Indigenization Policy. |
Sometimes our experience moulds our sociability. We must not forget that this social networks are faceless. So, many people becomes so unpleasant in their comments. I want to believe there will be a better response if it's through PM. You'll get a better result. I've made a few friends on Nairaland. We see ourselves and before you say Jan! we're rocking on BB or FB. Try it out. |
Educative! Those laws have their purposes and some of them are just to curb excesses and to encourage good living; not to really witch hunt. Just as we have taboos in Nigeria. While 11, 23 & 35 are ridiculous, 14 & 15 could attract serious litigation. 53 is okay as every Israeli has basic military education. |
sexymoma: Zobo ko, kunu ....So she exported zobo from Naija to... She needs to be properly investigated. Well, no time. "OKETE TI BORU" meaning "too late". |

It's surprising how some people are utterly myopic on this topic. The author of this observation raised a serious issue of concern. Any river that forgets its source would dry. First, we are African and we can only trace our history down here. I learnt Wesley Snipes' and the Williams' visit to Nigeria was because they traced their history down to Africa (unconfirmed). Language is one of the information needed on ancestrry.com to trace a man's genealogy. My fear is that very soon so many languages would face extinction threat (including major languages). Parents should make extra effort to make their children understand their true identity. In the 80s, Nigeria languages are part of subjects in the elementary schools. I doubt if this is obtainable these days because my children don't offer any indigenous language in their schools. Except I speak my language to them at home, which is not, they may not know how to speak it. Though this is one of the characteristics of globalization, I believe government needs to do something to salvage and protect our languages. God bless. Nigeria. |
Just like that. May God save the undeveloped Africa from the hands of this VIRUS. Africa is still way backward. Our Universities and Research Institutes have been reduced to a mere structure with no impact at all. Africa is now reduced to an experimental ground while they (West) maintain the fore-front in providing solution. How is Africa going to be free? They buy our raw oil and sell it back to us refined. They tell us which law to adopt(e.g. gay law). Now, they are at the verge of discovering cure for Ebola. Then, we have no option than to run to them and they keep dictating to us. Africa think twice. |
The parents should check themselves. They need to get close to "him" and love him. Probably they are doing or not doing what the child wants. Love your children, buy things for them (affordable), share things with them and encourage them when they do well. They'll definitely love you back. |
DeZoro: I don't know why we always try to read meaning to everything in Nigeria. Thoughts am not a fan of Buhari but I strongly conderm the saying that Buhari tried to kill himself. I am in Kaduna and u knw how these people behave. God has just spared us from another war that would had split this nation. God bless NIGERIA.You grt! All enemies of peace will be put to shame. All they're doing is to throw this country into confusion. I strongly believe the trying period will soon be over and perpetrators of evil will hide their face. However, how I hope our leaders (traditional or political, religious or not, present and past) would come out with one voice and publicly to denounce those that are aiding and abetting mahem in this country. God bless Nigeria! |
This man is not only a MARRIED man but also a MAD man @ 40. The wife needs to be very careful because, witches have caught up with that man, feeding him with concoctions in the spiritual realm. Though that's just my feeling. |
lastmessenger: Please can you send me the videos of the wars you saw.Pls, go to Kano today 27th July, 2014. Three bomb incidents occurred between 9am and 4.30 pm. Those might interest you if you're seriously looking for near-war video. I ran for dear life then. My friends that carried guns then did not live to tell this story I'm telling you today. God bless Nigeria. |
spikesC: Is this not happening now? spikesC: Is this not happening now?Bros, I don't pray to see more. I don't have to experience it to feel it. That's why there's need for peace and solution. You don't cut off the head because the hair has grown tall. I raised other issues in that write-up. Did you read it? Did you see those pictures OP posted? Have you watched MACHINE GUN PREACHER? Which is a true story of war in Sudan? I'm not here to throw tantrums. Think about those that loves you and those you love. My comment closed |
War is not something we should wish for. Who suffers at the end of the day? The common man who has nowhere to run to. Remember, all economic and commercial activities come to a halt. When you have money, there would be nowhere to buy. If there is, at a very high rate. Let's think twice before we call for war. Young ones on this thread should be very careful because; Everybody witnesses the beginning of war, only few live to see the end. I've witnessed two tribal wars in my life and it's not easy. We had house, we couldn't sleep. Food, you wouldn't be able to eat. You won't be able to go, if you have food in your farm (I mean the way to a money-venture is a no-go area). You and your siblings split, if you are privilege to find your way out, not knowing whether you'll meet again. Mhen! pray for this country o. Pray for our leaders to do the right thing. Leadership is our problem in this country. I mean right from the home front. A father that's bias and cannot assert his authority in dealing with his children and wives will come home everyday to settle one problem or the other. We must realize who our enemies are and face them. Lest we forget, Nigeria is a Federation. There would be agitations because we all have different 'background'. Negotiation and reconciliation is a continuous process. God bless Nigeria. |
I'll just snap him, warn him and clean him up. This thing happen once in a while. Just pray, as parent, it doesn't get out of hand. My daughter creamed herself and everything in the living room with a big jar of Vaseline while relaxing in the bedroom on a Saturday like that. What would a father do? No spanking. Clean her up and pack many things out of her reach. |
