Iroh88: This is going to be interesting.
I give it to PT, most of what is captured here are totally unjustifiable, especially under the current economic realities. Some of these items have lifespans of over 10years so I just don't understand why it has become a norm for our leaders to keep proposing expenditures on these items in every budget! Take car jacks, caution triangles, and kitchen utensils for instance. I criticised Jonathan's government for this and surely find it unacceptable it is repeating itself under this government.
Kudos to our press for being steadfast in their duty. This is the sort of "opposition" we need and not one that is bent on pulling down the government at all cost, criticising in a manner that suggest an emotional breakdown.
I hope these anomalies are brought to Baba's notice. It would be VERY unfair to the good people of Nigeria, especially Baba's fervent supporters like my humble self to have the budget passed without reviewing these expenditures. i dont want to believe PMB and Osinbanji are not aware of this disgraceful budget,we must not give up,this is the platform we used to get them in,we must not keep quiet. |

ehissi: False!! The construction of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line started in February 2011 and was completed in December 2014.
China Civil and Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), which is also constructing the Lagos Rail Mass Transit System in Nigeria, built the line for the Federal Government. If you don't know, ask questions abeg!!
The reconstruction of Lagos-Kano Railway Line that was moribund for many years with no single train movement for 15years but GEJ fixed it in 1year and to you folks that isn't a worthwhile project. The Port-harcourt maiduguri line that has been moribund for 30years finally gets the attention fo government and it is deemed worthy; a project that would have been completed if not for the politics of militancy/terrorism in the north!!
Its is better to say; "I don't agree with the core political ideologies of the PDP than to say that in 16years they haven't completed a single project!
That is tantamout to Selective amnesia!! Its a lie of the first Order!!
In Edo state, we can boast of federal road projects that link villages to delta state; all within the 16years of PDP!! The main stream accessed by Okiagben village for example; for the first time since independece had a road linking that road to delta state!!
Do you know what is 16years!! Government spend cash to evaluate and enumerate the impact of project attained in 4years. A professor of law - history - just sat down and evaluated 16years in the comfort of his house, chewing kolanut!!
Only an illiterate, brainwashed zombie will swallow that kind of trash and call it facts!! am not an apc apologist or a zombie,i attack them when they are wrong especially on this year budget,i know a lot about NRC,if you said the kaduna abuja line is completed ,is any train running on it right now?i know nothing about the edo roads, the only federal road i know in that road is benin ore sagamu road and ita not complete, its good that am having a convo with a non paid party apologist,av travelled a good part of the country and the road ate pretty bad,all are dissapointment. |

I guess you went to a state university. In any case, I guess you didn't wear your reading glasses to see the completed road projects there like the ones in the east.
In any case, the year in review was 2014 and majority of the road project are already completed; at least I know amaechi entered rail for inspection trip so I know rail projects were completed.
Try get patience dey read epistle sometimes!! i read your epistle very well and i did not attend a state university, plus nothing wrong with that though, now back to.the topic i ignored the rail because i know more about it than you can know, not a inch of track has being added to the rail network left by the british, apart from the kaduna abuja line which is not complete yet,the kano lagoa line was "rehabilitated"not a new project lets stop celebrating mediocrity, the only new rail project is kaduna abuja line and its not completed. |

ehissi: Time for another Epistle!
I know D Vice President to be a professor of law & not history. So I can understand if somehow he demonstrates ignorance of the achievements of a party that he seems to show/teach pathological hatred for - a virtue unworthy of a child of God not to talk of someone who would have people believe he is a pastor!
Like I always say; hatred is not a requirement to disagree with a fellow neither is love a requirement to agree. I don't have to hate you to disagree with you and I don't have to like you to agree with you.
If you do well; I hail you! You no do well; I nail you!!
That said; I don't believe that Prof said this! If it was even mentioned that Jonathan didn't do a single project and complete it in his 5years as president, I won't even bother to comment sef.
But 16years will also cover men like Obasanjo and the great, late Musa Yar adua! To say that, is not only a disservice to this country, but is to mislead the future leaders who are looking up to men like him for direction and that's children, especially those who may be from the fold of his own Church - TRCCG.
I believe God will first dish him his reward here before he crosses to collect the rest on the other side.
He must learn to see his victory as God's gift that must be used to better the lives of the people of this country: he will not keep it by tearing ridiculous lies!!
Having Said that: Look below and give GEJ a clap offering on behalf of all lovers of Truth everywhere!! GEJ I hail!!

tbaba1234: FG Spending on State House Clinic
We react to the story: "2016 Budget: Buhari to spend more on State House Clinic than on all federal govt-owned teaching hospitals."
This report is not simply off the mark but one that is insensitive to the government's effort to improve medical facilities at home in Nigeria. According to the draft 2016 budget presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari, the budget for the State House Clinic is N3.8b.
Contrary to the published newspaper report, the total for health institutions as given by the Director-General, Budget Office is more than N200 billion. The 17 teaching hospitals have more than 50 percent of that allocation.
Anyone interested can check out the detailed allocations to the teaching hospitals, the federal medical centers and the specialist hospitals owned by the federal government.
It is also important to explain that the State House Clinic is not the President, or anyone's personal clinic but one which looks after government officials and many others who are not.
The increased spending on government health institutions in the current budget should be seen in the light of the administration's plan to improve medical facilities at home as a way of discouraging overseas trips in search of treatment by citizens which eat away from our foreign exchange.
