Man divorces his wife during wedding reception after her song choice at their wedding sparks family row A couple has set a new record for the shortest marriage after calling it quits at their reception venue because of the wife’s choice of song. The groom ended the marriage after his wife played a “provocative” song which caused an argument during their celebrations in Baghdad. Massmediang reports that the woman requested the Syrian song – Mesaytara by Lamis Kan – which includes some questionable lyrics, with the song name itself translating to “I am dominant” or “I will control you”. The song begins with the lyrics: “I am dominant; you will be ruled under my strict instructions, I will drive you crazy if you looked at other girls on the street. “Yes, I’m dominant, you’re my piece of sugar. As long as you’re with me, you’ll walk under my command.” The bride was reportedly dancing to the song and enjoying her wedding, but the groom’s family were not impressed resulting in a huge row between the two families. Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has paid 100 per cent of basic pay as 13th month package for workers in the state. The alert of the 13th month salary started reflecting Friday, December 24, as many workers were preparing to do final Christmas shopping. Many workers called into a phone-in radio programme on Ozisa FM Owerri in the morning of today, December 25, to confirm that the alerts of the payment had been received by workers. Recall that the governor had on Monday, December 20, revealed in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser, Oguwike Nwachuku, that he would pay 13th month salary to workers. He also promised to give the workers Christmas rice through their ministries, while deserving civil servants would be promoted. Uzodimma told the workers during an interactive session with them in Owerri on Monday, that despite wrong assumptions from certain quarters, his administration held workers in high esteem and would continue to prioritise their welfare. He also assured that his administration would not owe salaries of all verified 43,000 workers without issues, adding that he did not regard payment of salary as achievement “because the worker deserves his wage.” The governor has fulfilled his promised as workers have now received the 13th month salary he promised them. This payment was made to verified 43,000 workers in the state, as workers you had not been receiving salary for months due to ‘inconclusive’ verification exercise did not benefit from this development. https://massmediang.com/jubilation-as-hope-uzodinma-pays-imo-workers-13th-month-salary/

Dowen College: Kemi Olunloyo Says Sylvester’s Father Should Be Investigated For Having Three Kids in School That Pays N3 Million Per Child (Video) Controversial investigative reporter, Kemi Olunloyo has suggested that Late Sylvester Oromoni’s father should be investigated for having three children in a school where students pay N3million per year. Olunloyo was captured making this comment in a video circulating online apparently explaining how investigative journalists should do their job without bias while working on the case. Recall that Olunloyo had allegedly said that late Sylvester agreed to join cult and also drink engine oil which was part an initiation process. Olunloyo in the video which shows her being interviewed by media personality Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze, explained that there was need for the media to work on the case without bias. She said; “How much do they pay in the school? One million (naira) per term? Is that three million (naira) per child? Okay. Oromoni has how many children in that school? Three. Two daughters and a son, nine million (naira). What does he do for a living? You gat to dig into those stuffs.” Watch video below; https://massmediang.com/dowen-college-kemi-olunloyo-says-sylvesters-father-should-be-investigated-for-having-three-kids-in-school-that-pays-n3-million-per-child-video/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQPHwvXrnng

Dowen College is located in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria and it has been in the news lately for very sad reasons. A student of the school, Sylvester Oromoni was allegedly tortured to death by his fellow students for refusing to join secret cult. Though investigations are still ongoing, the Lagos State government has already shut down the school indefinitely following public outrage over the incident. Massmediang investigations revealed that Dowen college is actually one of the most expensive secondary schools in Nigeria and tongues are already wagging that anyone who pays such huge amount of money to get into a school should not just get quality education but unquestionable protection. This school comprises boarding and day options. The fees are about two million naira (N2,000,000) per annum for a boarding student and one million, two hundred and fifty-thousand naira (N1,250,000), for day students, according to Nigerianmonitor, com. The tuition fees include feeding, school uniform, house wear, and textbooks. This implies that late Sylvester Oromoni paid about N2million per year before his life was cut short in strange circumstances in the school. Dowen College was founded in 1997 with good facilities to offer broad and balanced education within a friendly, caring and happy environment. The school also provides a well equipped library, computer centre, internet connectivity, cultural facilities, football pitch, swimming pool and many more. This is why it is among the most expensive secondary schools in the country. But the school never bargained to be in the eye of the storm today. https://massmediang.com/dowen-college-late-sylvester-paid-about-n2m-per-annum-as-school-fees-before-his-death/

The menace of hard drugs in Nigeria, especially the eastern part of the country has continued to throw up shocking revelations about emerging forms of abuse. What many may not know is that most of the materials, legal substances and home utilities are now being converted to materials for getting high or for smoking hard drugs. The latest in this revelation is the use of energy bulb in smoking hard drugs. Massmediang investigation revealed that energy bulbs that are shaped in form of pipes are now used for smoking methamphetamine (meth) popularly known in the South eastern part of Nigeria as meth. It was discovered that when some young boys buy energy bulbs shaped like pipes. They actually use them to smoke meth also called ice or guzoro. It was gathered that when they buy this bulb, the head is unscrewed while the tube is used to smoke ice. The ice is placed inside the bulb and a lighter or any other fire source is used to gently melt the ice. A shop owner in Owerri, Imo state, Mrs Gladys who spoke to Massmediang said boys usually come to her shop to buy energy bulb but she started suspecting something was wrong when they started requesting for the bulbs frequently. “I didn’t even know they were using these bulbs for something else. Some of them buy the bulbs and as they step outside the shop they unscrew the head of he bulb and thrown it away. It was when I started asking some people questions that I was told they use the tube shaped part of the bulb to small mkpuru miri. This is a shocking revelation. So when next you see your brother, son or daughter always buying energy bulbs that are shaped like tubes or pipes you might have to become more curious and watch the person’s lifestyle. https://massmediang.com/addicts-now-smoking-energy-saving-bulbs-to-get-high-see-how/

Argentine football star Lionel Messi, 34, shocked the football world when he bid adieu to Barcelona. The press conference where he struggled to hold back his tears while bidding farewell to the club had gone viral. It was indeed an emotional moment for all Messi fans out there. Messi’s exit press conference has come to mind again in a strange way. It’s about the tissue Messi used to wipe his tears during the press conference. Yes, you read that right. The tissue is up for an auction on a website named Meikeduo. It has been priced at $1 million. The tissue was collected by an anonymous person after Messi threw it in the bin, reported Gulf Today. The person then put up advertisements on popular websites and announced the whopping price, perhaps with dreams to make a fortune out of the soggy tissue. Messi addressed his final Barca press conference on August 8. He bade an emotional farewell to the Spanish football club after his successful 21-year-old career with the club. During the press conference, as Messi started tearing up, his wife Antonela Rocuzzo passed him a tissue to wipe his tears. Socialite and business man Obi Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana) is still the most popular name in the country following the high level celebration of his mother’s burial last weekend in his home town Oba Anambra state. After the ceremony which saw many of his friends coming out to splash wealth as a way of celebrating him, virtually every aspect of his life and businesses came to limelight especially on social media. Massmediang caught up with his room mate at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where he studied Political Science from 1994 to 1998. His room mate, who simply identified himself as Chukwudi said he stayed with Obi Cubana back then in their 100 level. He was studying Industrial Chemistry while Obi Cubana was studying Political Science. They stayed together in Room 417 Akintola Hall, Nsukka. They were four in the room and all had a good relationship. Chukwudi told Massmediang that Obi Cubana’s nick name back then was Yankee and he was a humble and accommodating young man. Chukwudi said Obi Cubana started exhibited willingness to assist others as far back as his university days. “Yankee (Obi Cubana) was a nice guy back then. His willingness to assist people didn’t start today. Back then he wasn’t even among the richest students. He was just above average economically but he was always willing to share with others. We stayed together in year one before he moved out to stay off campus.” “Back then Yankee (Obi Cubana) will take you to canteen to eat even when he didn’t have much. He would make sure you didn’t have problem with feeding if you had any challenge. As his room mate I found him very nice and accommodating.” Chukwudi further said he was not surprised that Obi Cubana had attained this level of philanthropy as he had shown these signs way back at UNN. “He has always been a nice guy. You can ask his other friends and classmates. As for attending lectures, he was also very regular in class because back then you hardly found any student that missed lectures. How far can you go to prove that you do your work well? Definitely not what this lady did to impress her bosses. A cleaner has sparked debate in China after being filmed drinking water from a toilet she had brushed to prove her devotion to work, reports Daily Mail. The sanitation worker offered to do so to show her higher-ups that she had done her job well, according to a report. Her firm billed her as an ‘exemplary employee’ and praised her dedication. The news came to light when a video of a young woman consuming toilet water went viral. The 32-second clip shows the woman dressed in a suit scooping the liquid from a squat toilet with a small plastic cup before gulping it down in front of several people. She then explained that it was a way for her to encourage herself to work harder and harder. The spectators, who appeared to be her supervisors, applauded to the woman’s words. The footage is reported to have been filmed in a fertiliser company in eastern China’s Shandong Province. It has led to heated discussions on Chinese social media platforms, with people debating over the necessity of the employee’s behaviour. One Weibo, the Chinese equivalent to Twitter, one critic claimed that it was not appropriate for the company to promote such behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic. Another person wrote: ‘Ask the bosses to join in.’ A third observer believed that the woman had been forced to do so to meet the company’s cleaning target. ‘It was so hard on the cleaner,’ the person commented. Others claimed it was ‘insulting’ for the supervisors to let their staff drink water from the toilet. While tap water is not safe to drink in China, the company insisted that the water in its toilets was suitable for ingesting. It also claimed that the staff member had done so out of her own will. Speaking to Red Star News, the firm called Zhong Cheng Fertiliser Technology Company lauded the worker, known by her surname Luo. It suspected that the footage had been uploaded to the internet by a company client who found Ms Luo’s action ‘curious’. Mrs. Chinenye Ekeoma and two of her kids – Augusta, 7, and Chibuikem, 5, have just escaped death as part of their house collapsed in the middle of the night after heavy rainfall, yesterday, October, 6. Mrs. Ekeoma’s husband is physically challenged. He lives in the building with them but he cannot do much to either park out or fix the erosion eating away their building. Now the entire family is in danger of having their entire house collapse on them in the middle of the night. Mrs. Ekeoma, her husband and their two children have been left with no choice but to abandon their home after heavy flooding affected the foundation of her house. She has appeared in viral videos at different times begging Imo state government, to come to her rescue. By then some parts of the fence of the house, including the gates were still standing. Today, the gate of the house has collapsed with the entire frontal fence, including part of the main building. She can no longer take the risk of staying in the house as people are urging her to pack out due to the fear that the building could collapse in the middle of the night. Her husband is living with disability and is also helpless. The woman has cried for days but help has not arrived yet. The house is located along Standard shoe/works/Mbieri road, Owerri Imo State. State government officials have visited the area and taken note of the destruction. But the woman and her kids are still in trouble. The erosion was caused by road construction done by the administration of Rochas Okorocha. During that administration, several existing gutters and drainage structures were removed and replaced with poorly constructed ones which collapsed under heavy flooding. Unfortunately for the woman and her family, help did not arrive and now they were forced into the street by erosion and heavy flooding.
