Who is Carrie Symonds?
Carrie had a privileged upbringing in southwest London, according to Hello! magazine.



She is the daughter of The Independent co-founder Matthew Symonds and one of the newspaper’s lawyers Josephine Mcaffee.

She grew up in East Sheen and was enrolled in private school Godolphin and Latymer School in Hammersmith before studying history of art and theatre studies at the University of Warwick, where she graduated with first-class honours.

Symonds is a big campaigner for ocean and marine welfare. She campaigned alongside Boris’ father, Stanley Johnson.

She left Westminster in 2018 when her affair with the Johnson came to light and became the PR for the Vibrant Oceans programme of Bloomberg.

A woman kept the embalmed body of her baby in a box which she stocked in a freezer, and took it with her each time she moved to a new house.

The embalmed baby girl was in the woman’s freezer for about 50 years and was only discovered by her son after her death.

Her son, identified as Adam Smith, found the baby’s body inside his mother’s freezer while he was cleaning the apartment after her death.The woman’s son was shocked to make the discovery shortly after her death.

Adam Smith said he’s known about the white cardboard box in his mother’s freezer his entire life.

He assumed it held a wedding cake topper or another memento that his mother was holding onto and left it at that, he told CNN.

Now that he knows what was really in the box, he said he is struggling to comprehend how she kept it to herself all these years.

Jerryne Mahele Nyota of Ottawa said she was shocked when her 71-year-old mother told her that's what happened after she missed an Air Canada flight on July 19.

Air Canada said in a statement that the ordeal was the result of a misunderstanding.

"It is not our policy to have passengers who are not traveling together share a room," the airline said. "In this case an error was initially made allocating rooms."

Mahele Nyota's mother, Elizabeth Coffi Tabu, had spent a month with her daughter and family before planning to fly back to Paris. It was a simple enough journey, with a connection in Montreal, Mahele Nyota told CNN. However, Coffi Tabu was in a wheelchair because she's recovering from cancer treatment, and a delay in the first flight meant she missed her flight to Paris.

For the sake of the environment, an Indonesian man has been making news headlines around the world for embarking on a unique challenge that is stunning the internet. He is doing so to save the environment. The 43-year-old man, Medi Bastoni, is walking backward some 800 kilometers, from his village in East Java all the way to the capital Jakarta, to meet the president.

Bastoni set off from his home village of Dono, in East Java, on Jul. 18 and opes to reach the presidential palace in Jakarta in time to celebrate Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day on August 17, alongside President Joko Widodo. The main goal of his unique endeavor is to ask Indonesia’s president for a symbolic tree seed, to be planted in the forests on Mount Wills, near his village, to raise awareness about preserving the rainforest. He claims activists are already fighting to preserve the environment, but a symbolic gesture by the president would boost their efforts even more. He is willing to walk backwards for 800km just to meet Indonesia’s leader.

A toddler in southwest China has miraculously survived a six-storey fall after he was caught by residents holding out a large blanket.

The three-year-old boy was filmed desperately clinging onto a balcony of a high-rise building in Chongqing city's Jiulongpo district on Monday afternoon. Horrified residents quickly grabbed two large blankets and placed it below him.

Nail-biting footage showed the moment when the boy lost his grip and fell. The blankets caught the falling child. China's state broadcaster CCTV reported that the toddler had no injuries.
The boy had been left alone at home and woke up from a nap to find his grandmother missing, according to Shangyou News. She had went out to get groceries.

In a bid to look for his grandmother, the boy had climbed on top of a sink on his balcony and tumbled over the glass railing, leaving him clinging on for life.

Video filmed by neighbour Liu showed the child kicking his legs and desperately trying to pull himself up.

A university lecturer stunned his 400 level students as he appeared as ‘spider man’ to sign their project works.
The lecturer who once appeared as Spider man during ASUU strike last year decided to celebrate his students by appearing as ‘Spider man’ supervisor to give them memorable last moments in school.

It was gathered that the unnamed lecturer did not stay in his office that day. He told his students to look for spider man any where he appeared in the building. He was eventually seen in another office where he signed their project works.

This woman, her husband and two children have been left with no choice but to abandon their home after heavy flooding affected the foundation of her house.
The woman recently appeared in a viral video begging the state governor, Emeka Ihedioha, to come to her rescue. By then some parts of the fence of the house, including the gates were still standing. Today, the gate of the house has collapsed with the entire frontal fence, with more of the foundation of the house now exposed. She had to be forced into the street with her family.
She could no longer take the risk of staying in the house as people urged her to pack out due to the fear that the building could collapse in the middle of the night.
Her husband is living with disability and is also helpless.
The woman has cried for days but help has not arrived yet.
The house is located along Standard shoe/works/Spillbert road, Owerri Imo State.
State government officials have visited the area and taken note of the destruction. But the woman and her kids are still in trouble.
The erosion was caused by road construction done by the administration of Rochas Okorocha. During that administration, several existing damages were removed and replaced with poorly constructed ones which have collapsed under heavy flooding.

This is the dangerous road at Orlu/Ogboko road which massmediang has been reporting for months now. It has gotten worse and a ghastly accident has happened on that road.
A truck plying the road attempted to avoid the dangerous portion of the road eaten up by erosion and fell into a ditch. The driver saw the ditch late, hit the pavement along the road, lost one of the vehicle tyres and headed straight for the ditch. The driver managed to swerve into the gutter by the road. Motorists are now plying just one potion of the road which has become very dangerous.
The erosion problem is beginning to eat deeper into the second lane on the road and all motorists are plying that lane.
It is getting worse and action needs to be taken before it starts swallowing cars and taking lives.

The internet is absolutely terrified with a video that has surfaced online and seemingly shows a raw piece of chicken jumping out of a dish prepared at a restaurant.
The clip was shared on Facebook by Rie Phillips, a resident of Florida, around two weeks ago but has gone crazy viral off late.

On the table at a restaurant, several food items were laid down among which was a plate of a raw chicken preparation. Soon after the dish was served, a piece from the chicken plate began to twitch, and moved continuously before leaping off the plate and falling to the floor.

The road was very good before Rochas took over as governor. He removed the strong drainage system on the road as he said he wanted to expand the road. The next gutter they built was very poor. After Rochas left as governor the gutter caved in and the woman’s house is about to collapse.

The works/spilbert road is currently about to be cut off by heavy erosion due to poor drainage and shabby road construction by Rochas Okorocha’s administration.
The lady speaking int the video is a sister to the man who owns the house. The man is disabled. He is also a Director in Imo State Ministry. Varsity Lecturer Falls in Class, Smashes ‘Brand New’ Laptop To Demonstrate Impact of ICTs (Watch Video)
A lecturer in Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State University has played a trick on his students to show them how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) had stolen the soul of man.

The unnamed lecturer in the department of Mass Communication set his laptop on a table in front of Masters Degree students to commence his lecture. One of the students later narrated what happened.
He suddenly stood up and pretended to have missed his step while attempting to sit back on his seat. As he fell he used his hand to shove the laptop on his table to the floor. The laptop shattered as it fell. The lecturer knelt before the laptop, expressing worries to further make the act look real before his students. The students were shocked. Some of them screamed and stood up to assist the lecturer who suddenly started making mockery of them for expressing more worries over the shattered computer than their teacher who fell down. One of the students had already started saying the class would replace the lecturer’s laptop without asking whether the man got injured.
The lecturer explained to the students that this was the summary of what ICTs had done to the soul of man. The lecturer told them that they were more worried about the computer that got smashed because humans beings today are “Walking ICTs”.

The Laptop was actually a non-functional scrap the lecturer had brought in for the act but the students never suspected it was not his original laptop which he usually used in class.
The lecturer further used the scenario to teach the students the Technological Determinism theory which explains how technology has had an impact on human action and thought.

It is about a major road linking Ideato North and South Local Government Areas of Imo State to Orlu town and the rest of the state.

This is where Former Governor Rochas Okorocha comes from. He is precisely from Ogboko in Ideato-South LGA.



The road was fixed three times in the past yet it keeps collapsing.

People from Ideato area are now calling on Governor Emeka Ihedioha to fix the road to save them the hardship they would face once the entire road is cut off by erosion.

The gully erosion which cut of one side of the road has started eating into the second and only part of the road plied by motorists.

In the next few weeks the entire Ideato will be cut off from Orlu town and other parts of the state if nothing is done fast.

A family in India found a wild tiger “relaxing on a bed” in their house following a deadly monsoon which flooded parts of South Asia this week, according to Indian conservationists.

In an image released by India’s Wildlife Trust, the massive predator can be seen lounging on a bed in the unnamed family’s home in the village of Harmuti, in the northeastern state of Assam.

The tiger is believed to be have come from the neighboring Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to tigers, elephants, bears, and the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses.

“Our vet is making plans with Assam Forest Department to tranquilize a tiger that has entered a house,” the group said in a social media post Friday. “Assam floods bring in unusual guests!”

The story sounds strange but it happened in one of the state Universities in the South East where a lecturer, wearing gray hair for the special celebration, met with about 120 students of a particular class in their dream for his 10,000th quiz.

Massmediang gathered that a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication of that University known for giving countless quizzes had been keeping record of the number of quizzes he had given. The lecturer who had spent 15 years in the department, always gives quiz in every class he teaches. When the quizzes got to 9,999, he decided to celebrate the 10,000th quiz in a special way – by giving his students quiz together in their dream.

It was further gathered that in the morning after the quiz, the lecture and the students met in class during his lecturer and agreed not to disclose what transpired during the dream quiz to anyone that was not in the dream class for the quiz. About 120 students were involved in the dream quiz project.
According to the lecturer, “This is a historic attempt to take communication to another level. It was real. We know what we saw. We don’t want to trivialize it so we will not be discussing it with anybody for a while. That’s what ground-breaking academic adventure is all about. The students were very impressive. They followed instructions and showed utmost commitment to the academic adventure.”

Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has commenced removal of the iron bars which former governor Rochas Okorocha placed across the major streets of Owerri.

Okorocha who is now the Senator representing Imo West constituency, used the iron bars and artificial palm trees to beautify the state capital.

But Ihedioha seems to want the state capital to look different so his administration has embarked on the removal of all the iron bars across streets in the state capital. The trees are also going down one after the other.

Massmediang gathered that this action by Ihedioha is coming with mixed feelings among Imo people as some of them are happy with the action while others feel that this is tax payers’ money being wasted. Some feel that Ihedioha should face more important projects while others feel that most of Rochas Okorocha’s numerous projects, including the iron bars and artificial trees are remind them of the wasted and bad governance of the past administration and should be removed.

A 63-year-old man in India who hasn’t cut or washed his hair in over 40 years has to keep his tangled 6-foot-long locks wrapped in a head cloth just to walk around without stepping on them.

Today, his impressive jatta measures around 6 feet and reaches all the way to the ground and trails behind him. To keep his hair from becoming even dirtier, Sakal keeps it wrapped in a white cloth on top of his head whenever he goes out.

A fisherman in Houston reeled in a large fish and discovered he was competing for the prize with a snake that sunk its teeth into the catch.
Chase McCray said he was fishing in Langham Creek when he reeled in the fish that had a snake coiled around it with its teeth sank into the aquatic animal.
McCray said he released both animals — separately.
“I took the knife to get the snake off the fish and released the fish,” McCray said. “The snake had a few wounds from the knife but I released it as well.”

Ramos, an 11-month-old billy goat at Muhammad Livestock Farm in Perak, Malaysia, went viral last week after his owner posted photos of him on the farm’s Facebook page. People instantly fell in love with his blonde hairdo and goatee, and some social media users even compared his beauty to that of a K-pop star. Ramos’ owner, 21-year-old Ahmad M Fadzir, told local reporters that the handsome goat loves getting photographed and turns to pose for the camera whenever he sees one.

Fadzir said that he fell in love with Ramos the moment he laid eyes on him. He was in Terengganu shopping for female goats, because goat milk had been in high demand recently, but as soon as he saw Ramos, he knew he had to have him, so he paid another farmer RM750 ($183) for him without hesitation. The proud owner started posting photos of his handsome goat on Facebook, but he was surprised by the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

For drivers along the I-285 west passing by Dunwoody, Georgia, dreams became reality earlier this week when about $175,000 in cash came flying out of an armored truck.
But incredibly, many drivers that stopped to pick up money by the handfuls are returning them to the Dunwoody Police Department.

“We’ve had seven people come in with varying amounts, from $2,100 to … $1,” Sergeant Robert Parsons of the Dunwoody Police Department told InsideEdition.com.

Parsons explained that so far, they have recovered about $4,400 and are hopeful more people come forward with their findings but “we understand most of the money will never be returned. We are realistic,” Parsons said.

In fact, exposing himself in the deep sea to get beaten by sharks is part of his job and research activities. Read his explanation of why he takes such huge risk and see how odd this world can be.

“I’ve been bitten thousands of times,” offers a chuckling Jeremiah Sullivan. “Been thrown around a bit. Beaten up pretty good. Nearly had my teeth knocked out. Certainly chewed on a lot.”
He’s talking about sharks.

Since the early ‘70s, Sullivan has been the world’s leading chronicler of human-shark interactions. A bearded, shredded-up marine biologist in his 60s, he’s taken thousands of dives, and been intentionally bitten by sharks more times than he can count in order to test his custom-designed suits of armor to protect humans from shark bites.

“We’re studying human-shark interactions, and the only ones I’m interested in are those that are most accurate and realistic so that we can protect anyone who happens to be in the sea and learn the behavioral range and capabilities of these apex predators so we can conduct safer interactions,” he tells me.

On the evening of July 17th, National Geographic will air the special Man vs. Shark, featuring Sullivan being intentionally bitten by a deadly, 14-foot tiger shark in order to test his latest protective gear—a composite suit built to withstand the blow from an ax. Given its saw-shaped teeth, so sharp they can easily mash through turtle shell and bone, even Sullivan found himself a tad bit nervous about the risky stunt.

A touching video clip, which shows a small bird stepping in front of a tractor to stop it from moving towards her eggs, has gone viral on social media. According to CGTN, the video was shot in China’s Ulanqab city recently. It shows a small brown bird, wings outstretched, step in front of a moving tractor in a field in order to protect her eggs.

Not only did the driver stop the truck on noticing the bird, he also placed a bottle of water in front of it in view of the scorching heat.

The heartwarming moment has now gone viral online, collecting over 30,000 views on Twitter. It has also been widely circulated on Chinese social media platforms.

A Finnish tech startup has managed to produce food mainly out of electricity and air, and is now looking to enter the market by 2021.
Solar Foods, based out of the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), is currently producing one kilogram of protein-rich edible powder called Solein, per day.

According to CEO Pasi Vainikka, one kilogram of Solein can feed seven to ten people their full day’s worth of protein.

The Finnish startup Solar Foods came up with a way to produce a protein-rich food called Solein from electricity, water and air, by using an environment-friendly process similar to brewing beer.

Described as the world’s most environmentally friendly protein, Solein is is made by applying electricity to water to release bubbles of carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Living microbes are then added to the liquid to feed on the carbon dioxide and hydrogen bubbles and produce the Solein, which is then dried to make the powder. It’a natural fermentation process similar to beer brewing, but it requires a special reactor that reportedly resembles a hurricane lantern. The dried Solein has a protein content of 50 percent and looks and tastes just like wheat flour. It can be used in all kinds of diets and can be 3D-printed for added texture.
