This sounds weird and creepy but an Indian farmer is currently feeling some relief after marathon surgery to make his head look normal again. A 74-year-old Indian farmer has had a four-inch (10cm) devil horn removed from the top of his skull. Shyam Lal Yadav, hails from Rahli village in Madhya Pradesh, India. He suffered a head injury in 2014 which reportedly led to the formation of a rare cutaneous horn. This benign growth is also referred to as devil’s horn. It sprouted from Mr Yadav’s head and over five years escalated to the point where it towered above his skull. What Mr Yadav used to do was to get the growth shaven down by his barber for years. But the horn began to grow aggressively, prompting the him to seek medical help. The rare growths are made out of keratin, found in toenails and human hair, and mostly occur in older adults. Couple Livestream Their Wedding to Guests From Quarantine to Avoid Spreading Coronavirus This could be described as digital wedding but it was the best the couple could do Friday their difficult position. Singaporean couple who had recently visited a village in the same province as Wuhan, the epicenter of the Coronavirus epidemic, decided to livestream themselves to their own wedding from quarantine, in order to avoid spreading the dreaded virus. The newly-married Mr. and Mrs. Yu had a very unconventional wedding. Instead of being there in the flesh to greet and interact with their guests in the flesh, they decided to livestream themselves from a hotel room miles away from the wedding venue. The couple had visited the groom’s mother in a village in Hunan, the same Chinese province as the city of Wuhan, where the Coronavirus epidemic reportedly originated from, and decided that it was best to quarantine themselves for 14 days, just to be sure. the problem was that canceling the wedding on such short notice wasn’t really an option either, so they decided to compromise. Woman Locks Husband’s P3nis With Metal Ring While He Slept To Prevent Him from Cheating A Ukrainian man almost lost his genitals after his wife put him in a painful iron ring on his p3nis while he was asleep to prevent him from being unfaithful. She used what is called DIY chastity belt and the man almost lost his genitals. Experts had to use a circular saw to cut it out but the pain was unbelievable. The unnamed man in his 40’s, from the city of Zaporizhia, in southern Ukraine, told doctors that he woke up one morning earlier this week to find a big metal nut screwed onto his wiener. It had been “installed” by his wife, as a way to stop him from being unfaithful. He claimed that it was strangulating his organ, adding that he tried removing it himself, but the nut wouldn’t come out, so he had no option but to call an ambulance. Police searching for criminal who sneaks into people’s houses just to suck their toe while they sleep This sounds wacky for a criminal who should be looking for belongings to steal. No, this man’s interest is just sucking victims toes. Florida police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a criminal who has a thing for toes. He just sucks on said toes. A Bradenton man sound asleep in the early morning hours on Dec. 24 awoke to find a stranger sucking on his toes. According to the police report, the man’s toes were in the stranger’s mouth when he was awakened from his slumber. When asked by the victim what the man was doing, the stranger replied that “he was there to suck toes.” The victim immediately began throwing punches at the stranger in an attempt to remove the man from the home. During the melee, the toe-sucking suspect claimed to have a gun and tried to handle the victim’s “genital area,” according to The Smoking Gun. The suspect fled the area after being pummeled by the victim, but not before he punched out the man’s front window and broke the windshield of his car after climbing atop the vehicle. Groom Plays Video Of Bride Cheating On Him With Brother-In-Law in Front of Wedding Guests (Watch Video) A Chinese groom who wanted to payback his bride in ‘harsh’ coins for cheating on him may have gotten what he wanted as his revenge plan is now viral. Videos of a Chinese groom humiliating his bride by playing an X-rated video of her cheating with another man to their wedding guests have been circulating on Chinese social media, sparking a heated debate. The unverified footage, believed to have been recorded by guests at a wedding in Fujian province, comprises three videos – one of the two newlyweds walking down the aisle, and two explicit clips showing the bride and her brother-in-law. In the first video, as the newlyweds walk down the aisle, an MC can be heard saying “now we are going to show you the videos of how the newlyweds grew up”, but instead a sex video featuring his bride and another man is projected onto the screen behind them… “You thought I didn’t know?” the man asks his bride, who throws her bouquet at her, as both their families try to separate them. The other two clips show the young woman sleeping with her sister’s husband. This should have been heart-breaking for the groom to watch but he seemed to be ready for what he did as the videos gradually went viral. According to Apple Daily, the couple had been together for two years and had decided to get married six months ago. The Hong-Kong-based news outlet also reported that the scorned groom learned of his fiancee infidelity after installing a secret surveillance camera in their new house. The story even got worse on realizing that the bride’s sister, whose husband she had cheated with, was allegedly six months pregnant. What began as a ‘friendly’ football match between prison inmates ended in deadly shootout, not penalty kicks due to a full-time draw, but terrible gun battle that left 16 people dead. Players had fired gun shots over a disagreement about a tackle. The match took place in Cieneguillas jail, in the northern state of Zacatecas, Mexico, on New Year’s Eve, and resulted in one of the worst outbreaks of violence in the country’s penal system since President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador took power in 2018. This football match was actually a good plan to curb violence in the prison but it ended doing the exact opposite. For over a decade, Cieneguillas, a medium-security prison in the Mexican state of Zacatecas, has been home to hundreds of dangerous criminals representing no less than six of Mexico’s main drug cartels. In an attempt to relieve the pressure of the rivalries between these criminal organizations, the prison leadership authorized a soccer game between teams representing Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel, on New Year’s Eve but the worst happened. Players included gangsters from the Gulf and Zetas Cartels; two of the most powerful rival crime syndicates in Mexico. The National Universities Commission (NUC) says it has unbundled Architecture and Agriculture into separate degree programmes to meet present demand. The Commission also said that degree programmes in Architecture, Agriculture, and Mass Communication have also been split into different ones, with the changes expected to take effect in this year in all universities in the country. NUC’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, who made this known to newsmen in Abuja, said Mass Communication has been unbundled into Media Studies, Public Relation Studies, Cinematography, among others. He said the present Agriculture degree programme in the universities is now broken into Forestry, Soil Science, Plant Science and others. He added: “We have also unbundled Agriculture. Instead of just one degree in Agriculture, we now want Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Soil science, Plant science, Agronomy, Animal Science, so also for Creative Arts. We want to see two streams of agriculture in the country.” Rasheed, who raised concerns over the irrelevance of Nigerian research into issues bedevilling the country, revealed that the Commission was partnering with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) to produce the Nigeria National Research Agenda in order to ensure all areas of research solve an existing problem. While noting that the Commission has developed a research policy, he requested that every university operating in the country develop its own research policy and research direction. Prof. Rasheed, who dismissed news making round in some quarters that the Federal Government has abolished catchment area as part of criteria for admission into Nigerian universities, said peddlers of such information probably misconstrued the government decision to ensure more national spread of students in all federal universities. The NUC boss lamented the behaviour of some communities who always want to flood institutions located in their area with their kith and kin, “saying our universities are being dangerously localized”. A new study has revealed that more Nigerian men committed suicide in 2019 than women. The study carried out by hypothesis.com, an independent research group, was a content analysis of reported cases of suicide in both mainstream and social media from January to December 2019. The figures showed that 65 suicide cases were recorded in 2019 out of which 75% (49 persons) were cases involving men while 15% (16 persons) were women. The study further showed that 23 students committed suicide in 2019. The complete list of suicide victims in various states of the country was also recorded in the study. Most of the incidents were cross-checked in both social and mainstream media to further measure authenticity of the incidents. The doubtful incidents which appeared in just one or two social media platforms were not recorded. The study revealed that 23 students committed suicide out of the 65 cases in 2019, as reported in the media. Of this number, 60% were male students while 40% were female students. Experts and scholars attempted to explain why a relatively large number of students committed suicide in 2019. Prof. Stella Okunna of the Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University says peer pressure played a key role. According to her: “Peer pressure is a primary cause in this case. Your peers assessment of you; you can blame social media somehow because people are living a false life on social media. Sometimes people are not what they present on social media. As they keep pretending and things don’t turn out the way they expected they become frustrated. This also happens to couples. Come and see the way some of them refer to themselves in public, “oh my darling wife, oh my lovely husband” yet at home they’ve not spoken to one another for a week. That frustration of living a double life forces you to the brink.” To Prof. Nkwam Uwaoma of the Department of Psychology, Imo State University, “You talk about academic frustration. This issue of sex for grade, money for grade, some of them may not be able to pay, especially those from poor families. Apart from this, even the students from wealthy homes, some of them are reading the courses they were forced to read and the family expectation is so high on them and things like that.” Prof. Lai Oso of School of Communication, Lagos State University, also contributed his opinion on the involvement of a relatively large number of students in suicide incidents in 2019. According to him; “If you look at it they may be on the same pressure. The shame that you can’t measure up; you know African society we tend to put so much value on the male child. So if the male child thinks that he has disappointed the family by not measuring up there is that tendency to want to go to the extreme. Women could be able to bear so thing.” Among the 23 students that committed suicide in 2019, there were more male students (14) than female students (9). So the argument of high expectations among men possibly relates to this finding. See details of the study; https://massmediang.com/23-nigerian-students-committed-suicide-in-2019/

Artefact telling story of Noah’s Ark suggests ‘fake news’ has been around for 3,000 years The art of tricking readers into misinterpreting language can now be dated back some 3,000 years after new research into a Babylonian version of the story of Noah’s Ark. A study of a clay tablet discovered in the 19th century in present-day Iraq has found its writers deployed a pre-historic version of “fake news” by providing multiple meanings of the same words when telling the story of a flood. Nine lines etched into the Flood Tablet, held by the British Museum, suggest that a Babylonian god – Ea – promised a flood of food to Uta-napishti, the pre-Biblical version of Noah, in return for building an ark. But work by Dr Martin Worthington, a specialist in early Middle Eastern civilisations at St John’s College, Cambridge, has found the language, part of the Epic of Gilgamesh, contains several phonetically-identical alternative – and more sobering – meanings. ‘Manipulation of information and language’ Dr Worthington said: “While Ea’s message seems to promise a rain of food, its hidden meaning warns of the flood. Once the ark is built, Uta-napishti and his family clamber aboard and survive with a menagerie of animals. Everyone else drowns. “The manipulation of information and language has begun. It may be the earliest ever example of fake news.” See details; https://wakkinews.com/2019/11/26/artefact-telling-story-of-noahs-ark-suggests-fake-news-has-been-around-for-3000-years/

Japanese City Where Water in Drainage Channels is so Pure that Beautiful Koi Fish Swim in it (Video) This sounds unbelievable but there’s an inhabited city where the water running through the the drain channels is so pure that beautiful koi fish can swim in it. This city exists in Japan’s Kyushu island. It’s called Shimabara, and it’s quite a sight to behold. When the area around Shimabara was affected by the natural disaster known as the “1792 Unzen earthquake and tsunami” which killed 15,000 people, no one imagined that the dozens of fresh water springs that started gushing out would one day put the city on Japan’s travel map and inspire its now famous nickname – the “City of Water”. There are at least 60 known springs throughout Shimabara, making clean water one of the city’s most abundant resources. This is really one of the wackiest stories you might be coming across in recent times. You might have heard “cat with nine lives” not two faces. Well, this particular cat was born with two faces and has since gone viral online. Duo, as this cat is called, was born three months ago but was rejected by her mother. Luckily, the mother cat’s owner was friends with a veterinarian, Ralph Tran, who agreed to adopt this special needs cat and give her the necessary love and medical care. “Raising Duo has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and at the same time, incredibly challenging,” Tran told InsideEdition.com. At first, Tran fed Duo with a tube and a syringe. But she has since learned to eat on her own, “Both her mouths meow separately, and both noses are fully functional,” Tran told People. However, she is not particularly adept yet, Tran admitted on a Duo’s Facebook page. “Each face fights to eat and, as a result, most of the food just ends up in the middle eye and on her forehead. That’s why her forehead is now bald,” Tran wrote. See details; https://wakkinews.com/2019/11/19/see-cat-with-2-heads-rejected-by-her-mum-video/

Child Genius Set to Graduate from University at Age 9 with degree in Electrical Engineering, Plans to do Ph.D and Medicine Outside of school, Laurent Simons is your typical 9-year-old child. The Belgian boy plays video games like Fortnite and Minecraft, spends time on social media, and loves to travel. But when it comes to studying, he puts students a decade his seniors to shame, graduating from university at age nine. If all goes well and Laurent Simons completes his final project at Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands, he will graduate with a degree in electrical engineering in December. Most people take three years to graduate from the very same program, but Laurent entered just last year, and he is set to complete in just 10 months. That’s thanks to his superior intellect and his remarkable capacity to take in lots of information in very little time, which allows professors to go through the curriculum at a much faster pace. “It’s been quite special and enjoyable,” Peter Baltus, a professor of integrated electronics, said about working with his youngest ever student. “Laurent’s absorption capacity is very high, which means that everything goes much faster, and we can cover a lot more material in a short span of time.” See more; https://massmediang.com/child-genius-set-to-graduate-from-university-at-age-9-with-degree-in-electrical-engineering-plans-to-do-ph-d-and-medicine/

Substantive Rector of Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo, Dr. Kingsley Okechukwu Ikebudu, has dragged Governor Emeka Ihedioha to court following his removal from office by the Governor shortly after his appointment. Dr. Ikebudu was appointed rector of Imo State Polytechnic on the 29th of April 2019 by former Governor of the State, Rochas Okorocha, following his recommendation by the Governing Council of the institution. He was removed from office by Governor Ihedioha shortly after the governor’s assumption of office and replaced with an acting rector, Dr. Patrick Njoku, who is said to be a relative of the governor. Following his alleged unlawful removal from as substantive rector and in his bid to seek justice from court of competent jurisdiction, Dr. Ikebudu then dragged the governor to court to seek a redress. Dr. Ikebudu made this revelation while interacting with journalists over the weekend. According to him, “there was a Pre-Action Notice of Claim dated June 28, 2019 and signed by Dr. E. S. C. Obiorah of Equity Law Office, on behalf of the Substantive Rector of Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo – Engr. Dr. Kingsley Okechukwu Ikebudu in respect of unlawful attempts to declare his position as Substantive Rector of Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo vacant and/or to terminate his appointment without any fault on his part.” “This was earlier served on Governor Ihedioha for immediate reinstatement as the final notice prior to the rector’s commencement of legal actions for damages, injunction and declaratory and/or mandatory orders against the Governor without any further notice on him, but up till now nothing has been done by governor Emeka Ihedioha led administration, hence his legal action,” the Imo Polytechnic Rector added. He further said that the court was the last hope of the common man, adding that this was why he took governor Ihedioha to court to seek for justice. Hours before they were to attend an educational conference in Indianapolis, three judges went out drinking for a few hours and decided to walk to a strip joint. Finding that closed, they then stopped at a White Castle, where two men in an SUV shouted at the judicial trio, prompting one judge to hold up her middle finger at the two men, according to an Indiana Supreme Court disciplinary ruling. More than 25,000 people have participated in mass “living funeral” services at Hyowon Healing Center since it opened in 2012, hoping to improve their lives by simulating their deaths. “Once you become conscious of death, and experience it, you undertake a new approach to life,” said 75-year-old Cho Jae-hee, who participated in a recent living funeral as part of a “dying well” program offered by her senior welfare center. Dozens took part in the event, from teenagers to retirees, donning shrouds, taking funeral portraits, penning their last testaments, and lying in a closed coffin for around 10 minutes. University student Choi Jin-kyu said his time in the coffin helped him realize that too often, he viewed others as competitors. Dad keeps 18ft python in his three-bedroom apartment where he lives with wife and two sons Anyone going round for a cuppa at this semi-detached house in Gloucester had better not have a fear of snakes. Marcus Hobbs, 31, lives there with his two young sons and partner Amy – as well as their 18ft Burmese python called Hexxie. The animal is usually curled up in the living room, aside from when it’s feeding time and she eats rabbits, stillborn deer, calves, goats and pigs supplied by local farmers. IT worker Marcus bought Hexxie from a pet shop eight years ago when she was just eight inches long. Since then, she has grown to weigh 17 stone and needs several people to lift her. She could squeeze a human to death, but Marcus is confident she will never strike – although he doesn’t handle her when the his sons, aged four and one, are nearby. Marcus Hobbs with partner Amy Leach, sons Benjamin and Joseph. He believes she could even be a record holder for the world’s longest Burmese python. The largest ever measured was 18.8ft, but Marcus says last time he checked Hexxie was already 18ft, and since then she has grown. He’s reluctant to anaesthetise her for the official measurement until she’s stopped growing. Marcus, of Tewkesbury, said: ‘I think people are so scared of them because they think they are going to kill them but if people come around I can talk to them all day long about snakes to reassure them. ‘[But] I would not get her out with the boys around. I would only do it while they were in bed or another room. ‘I don’t think she’d be dangerous towards them but you have to use your common sense and I’m a responsible pet owner.’ See details here; https://wakkinews.com/2019/11/12/dad-keeps-18ft-python-in-his-three-bedroom-apartment-where-he-lives-with-wife-and-two-sons/

The viral photos and videos of models in skimpy bathing suits, walking down the aisle of the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral, has caused a lot of outrage among Christians with some people questioning the appropriateness of the situation. We gathered that the embarrassing three-night fashion show was hosted by Styleweek Port-of-Spain and was held last week Sunday at the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral in Trinidad. Speaking with Guardian Media, Rev Kendrick Sooknarine said the fashion show was an annual event hosted by the church to raise funds for church repairs. He said this show was specifically being held to raise funds to fix the roof of the church, which is likely to cost between $2 to $3 million. The event has caused shock and drawn disgust from several eminent religious spokespersons, including non-Christian leaders, who said a similar incident would not be allowed to happen in local Hindu and Muslim places of worship. Reacting to the fashion show, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Trinidad, Rev Claude Berkley ‘strongly condemned’ the depiction of scantily-clad models in the church, saying it was out of order. He begged the forgiveness of parishioners and the religious all across the country saying a church is not the place for such kind of fashion show. My Terrible Experience With A Sex-Demanding Lecturer – Ex-Beauty Queen, Anita May Igoni Reveals An ex beauty queen, Anita May Ogoni has spoken up about her experience with a lecturer who harassed her. Anita May Igoni is the CEO of Miss Port Harcourt Beauty Pageant, a platform she started after her reign as Miss Tourism. The ex-beauty queen, who is expanding her tentacles into entertainment and humanitarian projects, speaks on her various projects, sex-for-grade and other issues. Excerpts How has life been after your reign as Miss Tourism? Life has been beautiful after reigning as Miss Tourism Queen I must say. It actually opened my eyes to a lot of things and also opportunities which had made me a better version of myself. How has the journey been since you started your own pageantry, Miss Port Harcourt City? I wouldn’t say the journey has been smooth but it’s a bitter sweet journey with so many challenges and lessons, as we all know the Port Harcourt industry is still growing and as such not everyone has accepted us fully but we (Miss Port Harcourt City) are here to stay! So we stay pushing. You recently announced Miss Port Harcourt City Intl, what’s the difference? Well Miss Port Harcourt City International is a title created to give one Port Harcourt girl the opportunity to represent our dear city and Nigeria internationally. We recently coped a franchise from Miss Planet International, in order not to change the brand name, the girl that emerges Miss PHC International will represent Nigeria at Miss Planet International and Miss Port Harcourt City remains an ambassador to the city. You are becoming a household name in the pageantry world especially in Port Harcourt in less than five years, how have you been able to attain such feat? Well, I give God all the glory and to my sponsors who keep supporting the brand effortlessly. I would say passion is my drive as I have so much love for the pageant industry. As an entrepreneur what has been the most challenging for you? The challenges I face as an entrepreneur is mostly getting support from people and also having to face those on the same space that see you as a competitor. It is always not easy as sometimes your expectation crashes to the ground and you have to pick yourself up for a plan B at the last minute. We get to see little support but so much expectation. Life as an entrepreneur is really not easy. What are the things you put in place or you don’t joke with in your business? I don’t joke with customers/brands in my business. By customers, I am generalizing it but by brands, they are important in the pageant world for collaborations and support during the course of the event and afterwards. Aside from being the CEO of Miss Port Harcourt City, what else do you do? Aside from being the CEO Of Miss Port Harcourt City, I own an entertainment outfit called Dollybirds Limited that covers event planning, model and artiste management, event staffing and A.M media. I’m into farming and also real estate. I am also the founder of Living for a Cause Foundation. It’s charity organization. It’s the charity foundation that empowers young struggling girls with skills and also we give out pads during the pad-up-a-girl child campaign. You seem to love Port Harcourt so much. What is the connection? I grew up in Port Harcourt. I am from Port Harcourt. I love my city. How was growing up for you? Well, I would say I wish I didn’t grow up because it’s actually a trap. As a child, I enjoyed my days as a kid although I had to go through a lot in my teenage age with so much happenings around me. It wasn’t easy at all. There are cases of unfulfilled promises in the pageant world. How have you been able to keep your promises in terms of prizes? Yes, we hear of such cases daily. We hope for a change soon. As I would say, our sponsors are our strength, so we try to be as fair as possible in redeeming the promised prizes to the winners. How much support did you get from your parents? Not so much support. They were against me being a model at first but I guess everyone adjusted with time. You have a great sense of fashion. How do you come out looking so good? My fashion sense hmmm… I don’t know how it happens but I just wear what fits me and I like good things as well. Will you consider owning a fashion brand someday? Not really but I see myself collaborating with an already made fashion/designer outfits to produce my collection. How is your love life? I would say active. Are you dating presently? Yes, I am dating presently. Describe your kind of man? My kind of man is supportive, caring, calm, got a good heart, believes in God and (is) hardworking. Can you marry someone who isn’t as successful as you are? Hmmm… It depends on the personality. If I can perceive him as hardworking and dedicated to improving himself daily yes I can. At what age do you think a lady should get married? A lady should be married when she’s ready and has got a good man. This age thing is just a number. Just take your time date a good man and get married to him if you find happiness there. I Don’t think there’s a particular age for marriage. There is an ongoing discussion on sex for grades, did you at any point experience it? Well I did experience it but I was a dedicated student and was very close to my course rep which really helped out a lot back then. Tell us about it It wasn’t an awesome experience having problems with a particular course for two years. This particular lecturer wanted me so badly that he would personally bribe invigilators to walk me out of exam hall few minutes into the start of examination, especially in his course. It was really a challenge. My then course rep had to pretend I was his girlfriend and pleaded with him so badly even lying he engaged me before he latter passed me with a C. That experience is really terrible. Does wearing skimpy dresses warrant sexual harassment? No it doesn’t. People should learn how to respect people’s choices of things. What do you want to be remembered for? For imparting in the lives of people. Who are your role models? My role models are those making something out of nothing, can’t really specify because I’ve got a bunch of role models. A university has come up with an unusual method of helping its students to cope with exam stress – a meditation grave. Many have been trying to offer a range of alternative therapies to help students suffering from anxiety during exam periods. Some have offered therapy dog sessions, mindfulness meetings, and even designated quiet spaces, but no university has gone quite as far as Radboud University. Located in the Dutch city of Nijmegen, they recently went viral after an alumni revealed their unique approach to managing student stress- a grave. Yes, behind the student chapel is an open grave, and whilst it’s not operational in the strictest sense of the word, people are dying to get in it. Inside the grave is an appropriate sign which says ‘stay weird’. According to the students, the bizarre project is so popular they had to be put on a waiting list to secure an early grave.
