A 21-year-old woman has become the youngest woman to travel to every country in the world.

On May 31, 2019, Lexie Alford landed in North Korea and broke a rather coveted title: “the youngest person to visit each country in the world!”.

As Laughing Colours reports, traveling has always been a big part Lexie’s life as her parents run a travel agency and it almost seems now that she had been working on traveling to visit all 196 sovereign nations since she was a child even though she had no such plans.
Talking about how important traveling has been to her and her family, she says:

“Travel has been a part of my life since before I can remember. My parents would take me out of school and place me on independent study for weeks and months at a time every year.”

She traveled so much even as a child and she had already seen a whole lot of the world from Cambodia to Egypt by the time she grew up.

A flyover built by former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has developed dangerous potholes on both lanes.
The flyover located at Amakohia/New road junction in Owerri, the state capital, has become a death trap as motorists find it difficult to ply while people also fear that the structure itself might not be strong after all.
This is one of the numerous projects carried out by Rochas Okorocha’s government which have started collapsing a few days after he left office.
The artificial trees which his administration place along New road flyover to MCC road, have also started falling one after the other.

A Professor at University of California (UC), Professor Matthew Walker, has said that men who don’t get enough sleep have smaller testicles than those who get enough sleep.

This came as a shocker to those present at the venue where the expert made this revelation.

“Men who sleep five hours a night have significantly smaller testicles than those who sleep seven hours or more,” Walker, a UC Berkeley professor of psychology and neuroscience, told the audience at the popular media organization’s April 15-19 conference in Vancouver, Canada.
The video of Walker’s 19-minute “Sleep is your superpower” talk was just posted on the TED Talks website and received more than 1 million views in the first 72 hours (as of publication, it’s up to more than 1,650,000).

It is now official! The end of Mass Communication degree programme in Nigerian universities has been okayed by the National Universities Commission. Seven new degrees have emerged from Mass Communication which is gradually being phased out from Universities in Nigeria.

The NUC has approved the Curriculum for the unbundling of the Mass Communication Programme in Nigerian universities. This has resulted in the emergence of seven Degree-awarding Programmes and the phasing out of the single BSc/BA Degree Programme in Mass Communication currently offered in different Faculties in different universities.

A mysterious millionaire is using a weird means to look for the ‘love of his life’.

If you don’t know yet and you’re interested in getting a millionaire as a husband, there are billboards advertising the “LDS Millionaire” looking for his wife. The billboards went up 25 days ago and now they’re not only getting national attention, but also attention from a lot of women. Within the first 10 days, over 1000 women applied to get married to the man.
“We have ten billboards across I-15 from Utah County to North Salt Lake,” said Amy Steven Seal. “And it’s working.”

Seal is a matchmaker. Her company, The LDS Matchmaker, is the mastermind behind the ads.

So far, they’ve received nearly a thousand applications from women all around the world and there’s still two weeks to go.

“Everyone wants to find love, so why not?” said Emily Tracy, an applicant. “Maybe give it a shot.”

“Obviously they’re throwing out millionaire for a reason,” said Courtney Childress, another applicant. “That’s very intriguing.”

She says he’s between 31-45 years old, he’s 6’1 and he’s “tall, dark and handsome.”

“He really wants kids. He’s never been married, has no children,” said Seal. “And he’s very committed to making that happen in whatever creative way that needs to happen.”

When we joked about what was wrong with him, Seal laughed and said “Well I think you could ask any single person what’s wrong with you? Why aren’t you married yet? There’s no deal breakers wrong with him.”

“He’s very busy. He does have time for a relationship but he doesn’t have a lot of time to find dates,” Seal said.

In what looks like a love story seen in movies, Chinese man was slapped 52 times in public by his furious girlfriend for not buying her a new smartphone. The slaps could be described as hot slaps, so this was no child’s play and it is trending online.
The Chinese man has been labeled a victim of abuse after being slapped in public a whopping 52 times by his girlfriend, who was apparently upset that he hadn’t bought her a new smartphone for Chinese Valentine’s Day.

Most Chinese couples celebrated May 20th, or “520” – one of the Asian country’s three yearly ‘lovers’ days’ – in a romantic way. But two lovebirds in Sichuan province decided to cause a shocking scene instead.

Videos captured by nearby surveillance cameras as well as passers-by and later shared on social media showed a young woman slapping her boyfriend in the street while viciously scolding him for allegedly failing to buy her a new smartphone as a gift. Although the footage doesn’t show all the slaps, police later confirmed that the man endured no less than 52 of them under the shocked gazes of strangers gathered to witness his humiliation.

What really surprised many of the millions of people who watched the disturbing videos doing the rounds online was the man’s calm attitude as he got slapped hard by his girlfriend. He barely flinches, let alone try to restrain her or retaliate in any way.

A Chinese man has expressed his love for his girlfriend in a bizarre way by buying her open ocean worth $99,000 (about N35,600000) as gift for China’s lovers’ day.

The man had failed to send her a gift on May 20 which was one of three unofficial dates for China’s Valentine day celebration so he decided to make it up by going romantically wacky.
The man decided to make amends by buying her 210 hectares of open ocean.

The man identified as Zhang, successfully bid 682,662 yuan ($99,000) for an expanse of ocean located off the coast of Shandong province in an online auction that concluded Tuesday morning, according to Modern Express newspaper.

A local media report Monday had included screenshots from social app WeChat that appear to show the woman claiming her boyfriend surprised her by buying her part of the sea after she had complained to him about forgetting her Valentine’s Day gift.

Following the grand gesture, the woman will have exclusive usage rights to 210 hectares of ocean near Cheniushan Island that formerly belonged to a fish farming company, according to the auction page.

Though being able to “own” part of the sea may seem implausible, Beijing-based lawyer Zhang Xinnian told The Paper, Sixth Tone’s sister publication, that Zhang’s bid for usage rights is indeed legitimate.

A wanted man had a bizarre negotiation with the police to turn himself in if the facebook post calling for his arrest received 15,000 views. He had earlier requested for 20,000 views but the police negotiated it down to 15,000.
Jose Simms cut a deal with Connecticut’s City of Torrington Police Department to turn himself in if his “Wanted” poster on the department’s official Facebook account went viral and garnered 15,000 “likes.”
Simms, 29, is wanted on four warrants for first-degree failure to appear in court and three warrants second-degree failure to appear, reports Huffpost.

A few days after the center of a bridge leading to Ogboko, the village of out-going Governor Rochas Okorocha collapsed, another part of the same road has almost been cut off after heavy rainfall in the area.
This time the disaster is worse than the first as the gutters constructed to keep flooding away from the road collapsed with a substantial portion of the road.

Residents of Ideato South and North local government areas Imo State are about to be cut off from the rest of the state. Rochas Okorocha is from Ogboko, in Ideato South local government area of the state.
The situation is pathetic as erosion is about to cut off Rochas Okorocha from the rest of Imo State as he hands over to retire to his Ogboko village home.

A bridge leading straight to Ogboko, which is Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha’s village, has caved in for the third time.

The bridge referred to as Mgbee bridge, connects Orlu to Ideato-North and South local government areas of the state. Rochas Okorocha’s village, Ogboko, is in Ideato-South local government area.

The bridge leads to Governor Okorocha’s village, Ogboko, and he plies that bridge always.

A portion of the bridge caved in, leading to the closure of that section of the bridge. Motorists now use one lane due to the danger posed by the collapsed portion of the bridge.

That collapsed portion has been repaired two times. The bridge caved in shortly after use. It has collapsed again, as Okorocha is about to leave office.

The opening is very dangerous and nothing has been done to it. From all indications, a terribly poor job was done on the other two occasions that the bridge was repaired.

Now that Okorocha is leaving office without fixing a bridge that leads to his own village, who will come to the rescue of Ideato North and South people of the state who are the ones worse hit by the neglect?

A 36-year-old man has taken his own life after his beloved dog was attacked and killed by an alligator.
The man identified as Andrew Epp killed himself less than 24 hours after his chocolate labrador Java was killed by the reptile.

Distraught Mr Epp, from Florida, US, suffered from mental health problems and leaned heavily on Java, who was described as a service dog.

He was reportedly walking the dog at Dog Leg Park in Palmetto when Java came loose from its lead.

Residents of Ogboko and its environs were shocked one morning to discover that a statue of Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, standing at the roundabout close to his village had suddenly turned white, looking like something from a strange horror movie.
Governor Okorocha is alleged to be leaving office amidst jeers and complaints of non-performance from his kinsmen and many residents of Imo state, fueling rumours that some persons may have cursed the out-going governor, as a result of which the statue of him riding a horse suddenly turned white.
The statue at Ogboko round about was initially a gray statue of Okorocha riding a gray horse, but now it is has turned into a frightening white Okorocha riding a strange white horse.

It was an unexpected nightmare forbade man and woman after they forgot their newborn baby in a taxi while returning from hospital shortly after baby’s delivery.

A top Indian politician has raised alarm over what he described as a plot to assassinate him like Indira Gandhi.

Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal Saturday claimed that he will be assassinated like former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by his personal security officer, alleging that the BJP was after his life.
“The BJP would get me murdered by my own PSO (Personal Security Officer) one day like Indira Gandhi. My own security officers report to BJP,” Kejriwal told a news channel in Punjab.
“The BJP is after my life, they will murder me one day,” he added.

Kejriwal was in Punjab to campaign for his party which is contesting on all seats in the state.

Earlier this month, he was slapped by a man during a roadshow in Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Saturday.

The Delhi Police had claimed that the culprit was a disgruntled AAP worker but the party blamed the BJP for the attack.
“I will be murdered and police would say it was a disgruntled party worker. What does it mean, if a Congress worker is angry with Captain saab (Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh) can he hit him, if a BJP worker is angry with Modi ji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), can he hit him?” Kejriwal asked.

It’s safe to say this outcome is not what most people were expecting. Throughout Game of Thrones’ run, the top three predictions for how the show would end usually put power in the hands of Daenerys, Jon Snow, or nobody. (In the “nobody” scenario, the Iron Throne was destroyed, and the Seven Kingdoms became a rudimentary democracy or something similar.) Flights at Manchester Airport have been grounded and many others cancelled over a power cut that left planes unable to be refuelled, reports Daily Mail Uk.

A power failure caused a problem with getting fuel into the jets, leading to many passengers being stranded on the runway.

Manchester airport said so far a total of 48 inbound and outbound flights were cancelled – made up of 27 arrivals and 21 departures.
Flights to Paris, Belfast, Tenerife and Milan are among those cancelled, while others have been delayed by hours.

Passengers tweeted they have been stuck on grounded aircraft, some waiting for around three hours before being told to disembark from the jet.

Those flying to Manchester have also been affected, with some being told at around 5pm that there were ‘issues’ at the airport.

A spokesman for Manchester Airport confirmed there was a power outage earlier in the day that affected fuelling.

He said: ‘Due to a power issue this afternoon there is currently an issue with the fuel supply at the airport.

A woman’s weird ability to run and jump like a horse has shot her into internet fame.

A Norwegian woman named Ayla Kirstine appeared in a May 14 video that can be seen on Twitter. The video shows Kirstine walking along a dirt road on all fours, galloping around a field with a dog and gracefully jumping over a picnic table. It’s unsettling.
According to DeadSpin, Kirstine’s Instagram account shows off more of her jumping skills. She notes in one post caption that she is “so sensitive that I’m scared of everything,” but thanks people for kind comments.

The classic TV show Game of Thrones is facing serious attacks from disgruntled fans who believe Season 8 of the show is the most disappointing of all and should be remade.

A petition calling on its makers, HBO, to redo season eight has been signed by more than 500,000 disgruntled fans.
The latest series of the popular show – based on George RR Martin’s books – has faced a barrage of criticism online.

Disappointed viewers have taken umbrage with the show’s narrative structure and the fate of beloved characters.

The Change.org petition, launched after this week’s penultimate episode was aired, goes further by demanding a complete do-over “with competent writers”.

It argues that the show’s writers, David Benioff and DB Weiss, “have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent”.

The writers, the petition charges, have “no source material to fall back on”, alluding to the unfinished books season eight is loosely based on.

A man got the shock of his life after he opened a door only to get a ‘welcome’ kiss from a snake.

The simple act of opening a door turned into a terrifying moment for the man in Oklahoma when a snake leaped from a porch light and bit him in the face.

The entire scene was caught on a doorbell camera video.

Footage showed Jerel Heywood leave his car outside the house of his friend, Rodney Copeland, in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Sunday. When Heywood opened the door, the snake attacked.
Heywood could be heard calling out for his friend to take him to the hospital, where the medical staff later determined that the snake was not venomous.

“No stitches, thankfully, but they cleaned me up pretty good,” Heywood told CNN. “I am on antibiotics.”

The snake, however, was killed on the spot by a neighbor with a hammer, the network said.

A child was confused after finding wrapped substance in a box of toys just purchased for him, not knowing it was meth worth $40,000 (about N14,400000).

Three Georgia women found a box of Legos in a consignment shop in Charleston, South Carolina, and figured it would be a good gift for a child back home in Statesboro.

Sometime last week, series of photos that seemed to show a very young boy getting married to an adult woman went viral on Mexican social media. There was speculation of arranged marriage and child trafficking, but the true story turned out to be more tragic, and at the same time heartwarming, than everyone thought.
Mexican media recently reported that the protagonists of the viral photos did indeed get married during a two-day celebration in their native town of Xaltianguis, Acapulco. However, although the groom looks like a primary school student, he is actually a 19-year-old man named Jonathan who suffers from a rare disorder that stems his growth and makes him look much younger than his years. Despite his condition, Jonathan managed to find the love, and last weekend he and his fiancee tied the knot in front of family and friends.

A student got upset with his supervisor as they argued over his thesis as a result of which he murdered her in cold blood by slashing her throat.
The student is said to have attacked the professor after an argument over his thesis turned fatal.

According to the Rappler.com, the incident happened in North Sumatra Muhammadiyah University (UMSU).

The professor, Dr Hj Nurain Lubis, was a 57-year-old lecturer in the Faculty of Education, in the Guidance and Counseling department.

A local media report said Lubis and her student, Rormardo Sah Siregar, 21, were having a conversation about Siregar’s thesis, which led to the argument.

She was attacked in front of the bathroom on campus at what is known as Building B, as she left the toilet.

This is happening in Owerri, Imo State capital. A number of projects done by the out-going administration of Governor Rochas Okorochas are beginning to ‘exit’ their positions as he also prepares to exit office as number one citizen of the state.
The rains are just beginning to show up and gutters are collapsing. Here is a video of what last night’s rain did to a street along works layout/Mbierri road which actually leads to Rochas Foundation College of Africa.
Tractors reappeared on the abandoned road about two weeks ago and began to work on the road again. Heaps of sand poured on the road were washed away last night after the heavy rains and poorly constructed gutters are beginning t cave in.

Too bad for the state capital.

A church programme taking place in Owerri which was advertised on Bill boards caught the attention of a social media user.

The name of the prophet to speak in the programme is what actually caught the attention of the social media user.

The name is Prophet Onyokometer. This definitely refers to the prophets ability to see visions and prophecy with accuracy.
