People won't take the sneaky nnamdi Kanu seriously if he declares election boycott this time. When the heat was on he escaped and some of his dedicated and loyal followers died needlessly. Now he is back and expects people to take his word for it? He should remain in hiding. |
Enough of this nonsense. Nnamdi Kanu should go and sit down somewhere. |

God bless Anambra state. |
Buhari just has to go. He's so 'agendaless'. Another 4 yrs of Buhari will destroy the country even before the anointed leader arrives. Nigeria will yet be great. |

Buhari's fight against corruption is just a load of pure rubbish. The earlier this change is changed, the better for the country. |

This op is laden with enough sense. The emphasis should be on the coperation of the genders, not on the rivalry as deluded feminists make it sound. The real powers that push this feminist agenda know exactly the goal they want to achieve with it. The divorce rate in western countries is a testament to that. If u want to destroy the society, disorganize the family units first. |
Nigerians, regardless of religious, tribal or party affiliations, must, for their own sakes and the sake of the country, join hands to haul Buhari back to Daura come 2019. This is the right thing to do. This is patriotism. |
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2019 elections, Mr. Peter Obi is not on Twitter, his Special Adviser, Valentine Obienyem, said yesterday. He was reacting to a statement published in some newspapers purportedly extracted from Obi's supposed Twitter handle which the impostor, used the term "lifeless" in relation to the present administration. "It was just brought to our notice about a certain twitter account purportedly handled by former Governor of Anambra State and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi," Obienyem said. He advised the general public to "disregard any Twitter or Facebook account bearing the name of Mr. Peter Obi as he is not on any social media platform at the moment." Obienyem disclosed that fear of misrepresentation and mischief were among the reasons why Mr. Obi was yet to join any social media platform. www.vanguardngr.com/2018/10/obi-not-on-twitter-aide/ |
This man is trying to save face. He should save us this thrash talk and hide his face completely, cos it's Peter (The Rock) Obi we know. |
This man has come to campaign for Buhari like they did in 2015. It seems some people in west are bent on making sure Nigeria does not reach her potential and fulfill her destiny. No worry. Trump go carve una hair with broken bottle. |
Following reports of alleged opposition to the emergence of former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as the running mate to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a pan-Igbo sociopolitical pressure group, the South East Revival Group (SERG) described the purported move by some leaders in the region as "selfish and counterproductive". Condemning the reported move in strong terms, the group's national coordinator, Chief Willy Ezugwu noted "not one leader, who is on ground and in touch with the ordinary people in his or her domain in the South East region, can move against the choice of our own son." The SERG said: "Incidentally, the south east region falls into the category of those who will never vote for the continuation of hunger and hatred for the people of Nigeria. "Even if Alhaji Atiku Abubakar didn't pick his running mate from the south east, none of our true sons and daughters will vote to return the current federal government to power next year as the so-called leaders are trying to make the country believe. "Since the inception of democracy in Nigeria after our independence 58 years ago, the Atiku Abubakar/Peter Obi combination is the best joint presidential ticket ever. "The ticket is a combination of competence and intelligence, which has been presented to the Nigerian people, majority of whom are victims of hunger, job loss, herdsmen attacks, none respect of court rulings, lopsided military operations, families and friends of people who have been receiving unjust retirement in the last three and half years, and many others. "All the arrowheads of the sinister opposition should know that their selfish antics will be counterproductive and may cause some of them a reelection. "Nigerians are not ready to go back to the days of appointment of puppets into political offices as we are shocked that the opinion of one or two interested individuals have suddenly become the opinion of the entire leaders in the south east? "We aware that a few selfish politicians are not comfortable with having these accomplished entrepreneurs and political leaders because they know that both Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are rare Nigerians with independent minds. These are two outstanding Nigerians who became rich before being elected into political office. "For us, it was expected that the Atiku/Obi unique and rare combination will shock a few following the statement their choice already made across the country. "We therefore advise the so-called Igbo leaders to sort themselves out with whoever they have issues with and join the moving train to avoid shocking consequences at the ballot in 2019 as the south east region will decide their fate", the SERG warned. www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/271591/atiku-2019-your-antics-will-be-counterproductive-seast-gro.html |
The Nzuko Umuigbo Worldwide has congratulated the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2019 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and thanked him for the nomination of Peter Obi as his running mate. In a message sent from Germany and signed by Chief Joe Mmeh and Mazi Obi Nweke, the organisation frowned at the statements credited to Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and some disgruntled PDP elements in the South East who spoke against the nomination of Obi. The statement said: “We received with dismay the purported complaints of self-appointed PDP leaders over the choice of Dr. Peter Obi, the ex-Governor of Anambra state as the Vice-Presidential Candidate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming Presidential election. It is pertinent to note that the Port Harcourt convention that produced Atiku Abubakar had at least 6 Northerners contesting for the Presidency after which everybody teamed up behind the eventual winner and promised to fold their sleeves and work towards a realization of actual Change in Aso Rock in the coming elections. “We have today, a bunch of political gladiators in Igboland who are parading themselves as PDP leaders complaining that they were not consulted before the VP choice was made. When did it ever happen that the Presidential candidate of a major political party would consult with a region before picking who to join his/her ticket? “Why are they not looking at the substance of the choice made? Is Peter Obi not overtly qualified to even be top on the ticket? Why would anybody see a blunder in the Obi choice considering, how prepared he has placed himself long before anyone could imagine the situation today? “Beyond the rhetoric of an eventual Igbo Presidency like we are constantly being taunted with, is the fact that Peter Obi is probably the most qualified Nigerian at the moment to join the Atiku ticket for the realization of a restructured, diversified economy where the citizens equally have faith in a system that promises hope and confidence. Peter Obi’s capacity for good governance is tested and trusted and no better person especially from the South East PDP is as qualified as Peter Obi at the moment. “Nzuko Umuigbo Worldwide supports Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo under the leadership of Chief Nnia Nwodo, whose position is that the next President must restructure Nigeria and enthrone fiscal federalism. “We reject in its entirety any attempt by these charlatans to push the “drop Obi” agenda any further and we hereby adopt the position of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, the apex Igbo Organisation that; Ndi-Igbo accept the choice of Peter Obi and would work for the ATIKU/OBI ticket for the realization of a Nigeria where every Nigerian would have equal opportunities. Nigeria where critical infrastructure would stop being a challenge and a Nigeria where power belongs to the people.” www.theeagleonline.com.ng/nzuko-umuigbo-warns-south-east-pdp-over-peter-obi/ |

That the Igbo are in a political freeze is largely due to their own“sleight of hand”; that they are in disarray is because they never agree. And that they have not had any success in politics since 1999 is because they still think Nigeria is Egypt where they are slaves. That the late Odumegwu Ojukwu did not become president, despite his attempt, is largely because of his people. The late Igbo leader would have performed better in the 2003 election, or even won it, if he had all the support; compromises and trade-offs made. But what happened? Besides two top contenders, Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari, Ojukwu vied in the election against five other Igbo personalities, among whom was Jim Nwobodo, who had the fourth largest vote of 169,609. Ojukwu came third. Let me add, the number of candidates from the south-east in that election was the highest! Ndigbo; we are our own vilest enemy. It is often convenient for us to blame the Hausa and the Yoruba for our poor choices, but really, sometimes, we are hoisted by our own petard. I remember, when other Nigerians were struggling to remove the draconian regime of Abacha, as brutal as it was, some Igbo persons were frantically propping up the government; holding rallies and mocking the struggle to remove the dictator. Let me also add, the jazzy agitation of a minute section of the Igbo for “Biafra” has turned out hoax set up by themselves and for the gullible. Today, the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu are unknown, but there is no noise from the samepeople who passionately kvetched and cavorted about how Nigeria was a zoo, revealing the ruse in the struggle. And just when I thought there was a ray of light in the political cumulus of the Igbo, some governors in the south-east “protested” against the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate. The reason? Because they were not consulted. How would you define self- sabotage? Anyway, I understand, Atiku did not reach out enough – in notes of green, promises, and deals. Or as they say, “water the ground”. Blessed is the hand that giveth. Obi is the brightest chance the south-east has got to get the presidency. He was the governor of my state, and he performed very well. He is more of a “presidential material”. I would have loved him to run for president, but political leaders in the south-east are already showing signs that it will not be all plain sailing for one of their own to be president for now. Perhaps, Kenneth Okonkwo, “Andy,” was right. The Igbo will have to wander in the wildernessfor 40 years before they get it right. https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/the-igbo-eat-their-own/ |
A word to our governors. Hopefully they'll mend their ways. |
Diaspora Nigerians for Real Change on Saturday warned that replacing Peter Obi as the running mate of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for next year’s election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will portray Ndi-gbo as a divided ethnic group in the country. The group in a statement signed by Chief John Ufondu wondered how any reasonable Igbo could be kicking against Obi as the vice presidential candidate of the PDP for the 2019 general election, urging the opinion leaders in the South East, most especially the apex Ndigbo body, Ohanaeze, to call all warning factions together and back the candidacy of the former governor of Anambra State. The statement reads: “It is disheartening that while high profile politicians like Bauchi Governor Dankwambo are congratulating Atiku on his wise choice some leaders of thought in the South East will be unhappy with the candidacy of Peter Obi as running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. “I think what is needed right now is for us as a region to rally round the former governor of Anambra state. “We have been complaining of marginalization, this is now an opportunity a candidate from south East to be near the Presidency for the past 35 years. “Moreover, replacing Obi will portray Atiku as an unserious politician that is not strategic in his decision. “The ruling party will use that to campaign against Ndi-gbo. “What is necessary now is for Ohaneze to rally round Peter Obi and Atiku candidacy.” www.theeagleonline.com.ng/replacing-obi-will-spell-doom-for-igbo-diaspora-nigerians/ |

Someone actually suggested that the word 'buharicate' be included in the English dictionary. 'buharicate' meaning: to worsen, to deteriorate, utter retrogession, etc. Eg: Don't come here and buharicate issues. Our economy is completely buharicated. |
