How about starting with true federalism? I believe if we practise true federalism or regional govt, bigotry and tribal suspicion will drastically reduce cos each of the federating units or regions will mind their business and develop at their pace, not spying and trying to bring each other down.

But on a more serious note, u led this guy on, what with all the pet names, the hugs and all. The flirting too much abeg. I always establish boundaries in my relationships from the get-go so as not to get things mixed up. I don't treat u like a prospective lover when all I want from u is mere friendship. Excessive flirting and ''pet-name calling'' may send the wrong signals from what u really intend and u will have a tricky situation in your hands like the one u have now.

As per a way out, calmly and respectfully tell him u feel nothing for him, that u were just being friendly. How will he take it? I have no idea but it MAY probably ruin your friendship. Wetin man go do?

The article and my assertion is very clear, there's an awakening and many are accepting Islam. The major problem is that many Ibo still think Islam is an hausa man's religion, they still hold the grudge of the civil war. Thank God that propaganda is being defeated now, many Ibos are accepting Islam because it's very compatible with the Ibo culture!



They've increased, I read an article that Ibo Muslims might constitute up to 2million. Right now it's growing fast in that region!



How can it remain like that? Are you so blind to see that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the east? This was the same way Christianity was objected by the locals when it first came and now it's the popular religion, that's how Islam would conquer!



True, many converted in the north but today we have Islamic schools in Enugu and Ebonyi, this schools has thousands of Ibos who were born into Islam. Their parents were converted in Iboland. In fact they have nothing to do with the north, just read the article again and get a clearer picture

Granted, there are Igbo muslims (though I've never met one in person), but their population is tiny to the point of insignificance. Saying Igbos are accepting Islam is a little to far-fetched. The article says islam came into Igboland even before independence. How come they've not blossomed and gained a foothold in Igboland since then? Because the people are mostly anti-islam (it may be genetic, *smiles*) and it WILL REMAIN that way. Most Igbo muslims converted in the North and they are now being used to import it into Igboland. But they failed even before they began. U may call it living in denial but time will tell.
