Nonsense comparison...how can you attend a very subsidized medical school degree in Nigeria that gave him the opportunity to work in the UK and then compare salaries ...The same UK, can be buy car with cash down or will buy on credit and is the rent the same or is he paying the same level of taxation? Nonsense comparison and lack of appreciation...instead of trying to give back to the country that made him and pay his own doctors in Nigeria half a million or 1 million Naira a month or whatever he wishes...

This is why school tuition should rise in Nigeria and salaries concurrently

A Nigerian medical doctor has stirred serious buzz online after comparing his earnings in Nigeria to what he now earns in the United Kingdom.

According to the doctor, identified as Dr. Tolu, he spent 7 years working in Nigeria without ever earning up to ₦185,000 monthly, even while juggling multiple jobs.

He revealed that after finishing medical school, he moved back in with his parents and lived with them till he was almost 30 years old — without owning a car.

However, after saving up to write the required exams and moving to the UK, his 6-month salary abroad reportedly surpassed his entire 7-year earnings in Nigeria.

This is what they should have been doing. Even in South Africa, they had to negotiate with the whites. I just feel like crying for her. I have heard a lot of people say why blame your friend. I am not sure we know how these things normally work....I can almost write a script.

The friends coming from Kaduna to Abuja were told...dont you have friends you can bring for us. We will give you something. Then friends go back and recruit...these guys are good guys...they want to help you. Dad is late, Mom in the village...we cannot do any harm to you. We have been helping you since you got to this school. Of course she went to Abuja..the lights, the fun, the glamour, big men, big cars, big houses...and from there, they promised her heaven ...only to maybe drug her drinks unknowingly and then introduce cocaine so they can have their way with her... of course they could careless about the side effect...they know she wont recognize any of them ...maybe only the friends, and left her to deal with her life of addictions...or lure her for more drugs only to sleep with her the more.

My heart bleeds for her. I do know her Dad's spirit will fight. I only pity the poor woman in the village...proud her daughter has gone to University to get a degree...now serving because she mentioned her Alawe...but look at where she is. Arrested...this drug issue...it hurts. A friend of mine just confessed recently she takes drugs and cannot sleep well without them. This girl is super smart..and helps others with thesis...I am really hoping to help her but its hard. When you think you have helped drug addicts, they may just be fooling you only to go deeper into this mess. What a shame.

The Union in Nigeria is more toxic than helpful in my opinion. Dangote does not want its drivers to go on strike because of some political points or party or based on the interests of politicians. We can see how they have disrupted traveling, health care, education over the years...this critical sectors are not allowed to strike in sane countries grounding the economy. Even when do strike in sane countries, work continues without putting people's lives at risk. Do I blame Dangote for this? Nope..he will pay them great salaries but you cannot decide to strike anyhow or you will be gone. He is running a private company. Can you insist all private companies in Nigeria to hire workers that will be in Unions? Nope.

I have a friend who wants to relocate to either Canada or UK. She has a PhD in chemical engineering, postgraduate diploma in business administration, 10years of work experience as business development manager of a waste management company and 20m naira budget.

I’m not the begging type as I have a lot of things going on for myself. My sister joined her husband in Canada last year courtesy of her husband. Outside of the little 50k, 100k there that this man used to send to me (I don’t know how much he gives my parent — In law, by the way ), he’s never thought of establishing me in business or find a way for me to join my sister in Canada.

Even most times you have to remind him before he send the pittance he sent to me. Last week, I told him to find a way for me to join my sister in Canada, and he said he’s still paying for the debt he took for my sister to join him and he want to send her to school also. Meanwhile I didn’t know this. Okay then I can wait. After then I told him to find me a bulk sum so I can start some business. He asked how much and I said 5M naira would be enough, he cut the phone, called him back and send him msg on WhatsApp which he read and didn’t reply. I called my sister and told her what her husband did and she said she will talk to him.

Is was Fubara Tinubu saved. His plans were not going fine, he was about to be impeached. The Supreme Court had ruled all his so called “fine plans” illegal. The SC had ruled his budget illegal and that the suspended members must be allowed to sit and he must present his budget and commissioners to them for approval. Once they seat, he would have been 8mpeached.

Wike did not need Tinubu’s help to remove Fubara,, Fubara had already walked into Wike’s trap.

What is she doing out till 1am? You hang out with friends, go out partying and drinking...and driving on the bridge...thank God she did not kill someone else if this is self-inflicted. My rule is --- by midnight I should be in my house at the most. In Nigeria, I have to be indoor by 9pm. You cannot even trust police and with the level of kidnapping, why would we even risk staying out late?
