This is an article on this story. While I will not second guess your experience, I am sure Cape Verde officers have a different story. I am always wary of looking at a single story. There is Danger in that.

The article stated that you did not have enough funds for your stay. Was there a minimum amount expected? USA is doing the same now...checking accounts, so people wont come on vacation and japa. Sadly, some of our brothers and sisters may have used Cape Verde to JAPA. Before we blame everyone else, we should also look inward. We, as Nigerians, must not be comfortable with bad habits amongst our friends, families and relatives. we excuse criminal behaviors around us, and wonder why the world see us as criminals. Show me your friend, and I will tell you who you are.

We all must speak with one voice...criminals stain the country and should face justice. I am glad EFCC is not capturing and extraditing some to the US. Let us not be seen as a people that harbor and tolerate those who do harm to others.

This is what I was telling some people in the Energy Group. The Govt can subsidize Solar Panels and create Solar Charging Stations for Batteries...then convert Transport vehicles to Electric. It won't be as complicated as CNG.

Folks will just pull up to a charging station, switch batteries to be used while the main battery charges at the station for a fee. Drivers can even have backup batteries and drop them off for charging. Before you know it, we would have solar battery charging stations everywhere.

Same can be done for inverter charging stations. You drop them on your way to work and pick it up...guaranteed electricity.

You create jobs everywhere. Gas Stations will lose business for sure...or they can convert. We ship processed PMS and unprocessed crude into neighboring countries for Forex. CNG conversion can be for Large Buses, Trains and Trucks. Trying to convert all Cars to CNG is not realistic and more expensive.

The advocates should raise funds, build their own houses and rent them without caution fees Lol. When the tenants show them shege by destroying things worth of N500k after paying N400k rent, they will also wise up and get some sense.

Caution Fee is meant to mitigate. A tenant paid N50k for Caution Fee in Ibadan...moving out, we spent over N100k to fix the place up. Getting rid of all these fees will only make RENT increase even more. You want Govt to set Rent? Landlords will switch to short lets and stop renting or stop building. It is tenants that will bear the consequences.

You can release DATA to show that millions fail SAT. Is that a true reflection of public schools in the USA? Nope...some students don't even test well, some do not care and some do not see Education as a gateway to success. ONE SIZE does not FIT ALL

The Govt should provide license for people to export PMS across the border...Diesel, Petrol and Kerosene as needed. It is better to just create a legit way and tax them that continue to fight illegality, which to me is a waste of time. The problem here is...It is 3hours from Abuja. How many people have business in Minna, Niger? No matter how decongested Abuja is...people would still want to land there if they have business in Abuja that to fly into Minna and travel 3hours by road. If the Gov wants them to use the airport more, he should do the following:

1. Offer subsidy to the passengers so they can choose flying over road
2. Provide Mega Buses to move folks from Minna to neighboring states on landing.

Without these synergy, it would just be another airport that can only serve the people during emergency situations.

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has strongly condemned the ongoing attacks on the state, stating that the people behind the violence are not even Nigerians. He made this statement with a sense of urgency, saying, "Benue is under siege" and that the attacks have a much bigger agenda than just local disputes.

In a heartfelt interview with Channels TV, Governor Alia said the attackers speak a different language and are clearly foreign elements trying to destabilize the state. His words reflected deep concern, not only for the lives lost but also for the future of the people in Benue.

“These attackers aren’t from our communities. They don’t speak our languages. We’re dealing with something far beyond just local conflict; this is an invasion. Benue is under siege, and we need help now,” Governor Alia explained.

Land Grabbing and Foreign Aggression

The governor believes the continuous attacks are not just random acts of violence but part of a larger, well-coordinated plan to seize the state's fertile agricultural lands. According to him, these forces have been using sophisticated tactics and, in some cases, enforcing extremist laws, which suggests a much more organized effort than simple local banditry.

“It’s clear to us now that this is about more than just violence for survival. The aim is to take our land, our heritage. This is not something we can handle alone,” Alia added.

Governor Alia has called on federal authorities to intervene immediately. With an increasing number of attacks, the situation has reached a breaking point, and the people of Benue need help. Alia has asked for heightened security measures, including a more robust security presence to protect the people, especially in areas where the attacks are most concentrated.

“We need help from the federal government. Our people are suffering, and we are watching our land being taken over by forces beyond our control,” the governor said, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Governor Alia also urged local leaders and community members to come together and work with security forces to ensure the protection of Benue. His appeal for unity is a call to strengthen local resilience in the face of external threats.

Rising Displacement Crisis

The attacks have forced many Benue residents to flee their homes, leaving them in temporary displacement camps. These people are in dire need of aid, and Alia has called for humanitarian assistance to support the displaced families. Many are struggling with the harsh realities of shelter, food, and medical care.

“We have families who have lost everything. They need our help, and they need it now. We must act quickly before things get worse,” Alia said.

The Bus Terminals are for the Buses to pull in to drop people so they can connect to the next buses or to take them to travel...Buses don't have to park there permanently. Folks can sit and wait for buses in air-conditioned bus terminals. This is for BRT not local small buses. You can also have interstate buses, and if well planned, you can connect the buses to the Train Stations.

Even as a Scientist, I can tell you that we don't assume causation, we only speak on possible correlation and that is why there would always be exceptions. I can share experiences of someone who died at the gym, someone who doesn't play with gym and still had 2 heart attacks and someone who keeps fit and still slumped and died. Yes you can draw on the law of average, but let me shock you...there is no average to destiny, when it is time...it is time. The people that I know that are long gone...you think they were fat and obese...more shocking is that the people you expect to go are still alive while others that look fit are died and buried. A former Kenyan Deputy Governor, Caleb Amaswache, is now hawking firewood in Luanda town to earn a living and pay his bills.

The ex-Vihiga County Deputy Governor served under former county boss, Moses Akaranga. Citizen TV caught up with him in Luanda doing his usual business of supplying firewood to various hotels.

He pointed out how life has not been a walk in the park after leaving office, a situation he described as undeserving after serving as a deputy governor.

He added that he could not afford to pay for his bills, including catering for his children's education.

"I need a job. I'm asking His Excellency William Ruto to consider those who were in government at one given time. We are all Kenyans and the President should take care of all of us," he remarked.

"I don't have enough capital. I have a daughter who's going to school and I need Ksh.200,000 for a start."

All he is left with are portraits of him and senior government officials who mingled with him during his heyday.

This reflects what he went through both during his time in power and after losing it.

Amaswache pointed out that his past attempts to apply for jobs were in vain, citing that his application was not shortlisted in the ongoing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Commissioner interviews.

He cautioned current leaders to respect others, highlighting that power is transient.

"My advice to those in power is to respect and protect those who previously served in office.

Today you could be in office, tomorrow you could not," he added.

Another nonsensical statement. In the South, the soldiers were on a peace mission; they were ambushed by members of the community, beheaded, and killed with their heads cut off. Even in the US, try it and see if the forces will not descend.

In the North, it was a battle...soldiers died repelling Boko Haram. The communities did not conspire to kill the soldiers. You speak as someone ignorant of the facts or who just chooses to speak based on perceived bias. It is people like you who want to make everything about North vs South. I told one of my colleagues...the massive IT breach that took place a while back that grounded all the aircrafts may have provided hackers with ways to down US airplanes. The rate at which planes crash in the US is worrisome.

My other controversial opinion is --- US discussed aliens and alien aircraft crash with US Govt retrieving some artifacts. The aliens may be fighting back and jamming electrical devices of aircrafts - both military and civilians.

Given the aircraft crashes are not just on US soils alone and include US military aircrafts in foreign countries too...I will go with Option 1. This is scary.

I am beginning to believe the singers bring these new bundles of notes for people to buy and use them to spray...I refuse to believe banks are still giving out bundles of new notes ...ain't they being fined for this already?
