Trump is canceling those with valid student visas and permanent residency. Now he is looking to find illegal immigrants via IRS because some receive special tax IDs to file taxes, so they can do the right thing. A typical American will have a social security number. Now it seems those that never filed taxes, never got into trouble are the truly free ones...though its almost impossible not to get into trouble in America. You either get a ticket or get mixed up with something unless you don't drive at all.

I am sure if you can afford AC in Nigeria, eat good food and use nice cream, you can achieve...that is the norm abroad...you would hardly see fake creams, even poor people must pay for electricity and use AC for cold/heat as needed and you get enough GMO food.

Then when you spend like 20yrs abroad, you get different illness and start using multiple medications LOL . All that glitters is not GOLD.

I am still lost for words as to why people keep having kids or attempt to have them without having the funds to even give birth to these kids. I had one, and the stress was enough. I didn't want to have number 2. I had to make sure we agreed to enough help before number 2. Else, one will just die running up and down. A friend's sister also died while trying to give birth...both Mom and Baby. Now, the friend is raising the two children left behind, and she is struggling with her own even before this added responsibility. The question was...this lady already had a boy and girl, and yet this man, husband to a friend's sister, still wanted more children.... why are we like this? If we cant breed animals without feeds just cos we can, why do we breed other human beings without provisions? Fast forward a few years, and this man here would be expecting another baby with another woman...we don't learn. What a Shame.

Govt should not be in the business of building shopping malls unless they plan to sell the shops or sell the Mall to investors and collect annually on it on a PPP plan to maintain.

I prefer selling the shops and recouping the investment, then give the maintenance to another company and collect annual revenues and taxes from the company.

I agree and I don't understand why we do not plan for maintenance. It is so easy. Charge those using the shops service fees of N100k to N200k per year with rent. Give the contract to a maintenance company and have them clean and disinfect the stalls every day after shop closes. You provide jobs to some of the youths, create more companies ...the only issue in Nigeria, we usually give the contract to the same people which prevents the spreading of the wealth, so the Rich gets Richer and the poor gets poorer

It depends, one should first make an assessment of the environment and also ask close relatives around. Such secluded hotels are very dangerous because criminals can track someone there to kill or blackmail innocent people. We need to follow up this matter to know the details, who knows maybe someone gave them information that the man would be coming and the two boys might have tried to torture him to give them his hard earned money or some issue we don't know about? But either way the murder is despicable in all ramifications....it depends. If the area is notorious and saturated with insecurity and criminals it's best as you said not to go but to send what ever one can afford to send. Hmn its really sad....

I hope there are plans in place to maintain and develop the immediate area or else...it would still turn to a ghost town and a misadventure.

I can only imagine the amount invested in the high rise building ...in a twinkle of an eye, its all gone. Will the bank or banks call for the payment of the loan? Will the insurance company pay the bank for the debt?

Now all those workers are also out of a job. The dead are long gone...but the living, how will they feed their families and deal with the loss of friends and co-workers?
