To curb overspending and bad behaviour, it was important for govt to institute tough policies because Nigerians can be stubborn. Imagine people still have 5-6 kids in this economy and a small baby on top. Now people are adding sense to things and as the economy gets better...we become better stewards. In Japan and China, they are now begging them to have kids. Things have gotten that better

Last I checked, the owners of most private schools are in it to make money, and that is why cheating is a major issue. Teachers must pass students at some private schools just to sustain enrollment. Pay is terrible...some of their teachers are recent graduates, so I would still pick Public over Private. When Oyo State hired new teachers, many good private teachers left for Public schools...what does that tell you? Job security

Even smaller class does in private schools will not give your child the one on one attention that the child needs. Best to put the child in a good public school and pay for a private tutor. If the public school is terrible or you are concerned about bad friends, get more involved and know all the teachers...they should know your number too. Yes ...and very well trained drivers. How many of those bigger buses going to SE have been in accidents ...not sure why they phased some of them out. In UK, most of their buses are bigger buses...both within the metro areas, within the cities and across the cities ...even the ones that will pick you to and from hotels are at least 25+ seaters. We need to phase out these 10 seater buses. Track the accidents...na them.

We need to get rid of small buses traveling interstate. In the US, na 50 seater buses and so on like Greyhound, Peter Pan dey make these types of trips. How many of these huge buses get into these fatal accidents? I would love a stat on that.

My Dad used to take those big buses to Lagos...Mass Transit and will travel at least once a month and did these for decades. I think it was only once the Bus got into an accident, and it was very sad that the others did not travel. But these small buses, its like every week.

If the government is trying to ban big petrol tanks, they should also ban these small buses. Let them travel within the city...not long distances within or outside the states.

This is the best time to sponsor students abroad.

First, Europe needs students desperately because their own children hate going to school, and they need to keep their Universities going.

Second, we have too much population and we need to push some of them out.

Third, we need diaspora remittances. One person per family can reduce or eliminate poverty of the immediate family.

Forth, we need future leaders that can incorporate problem solving skills learnt from sane countries.

We just need to make sure that these sponsorships follow due process. If I was a Governor, I would limit it to
- 1st class or top 2-1s
- Courses and majors relevant to the states I govern in - Agriculture, Finance, Mining and so on
- Have jobs available for students traveling abroad for Masters
- Have them sign contracts to return or pay back their sponsorship costs, so even if they don't come back, its a win for the Govt.

If all the states are sending 200-1000, we can send close to 20,000-25,000 scholars annually
