Your last name is Obaseki. You will be fine. Just write a nice essay claiming you do not want to rely on the glory of the former Governor, and plan to make a path towards making the world a better place. You can state the challenges that made you graduate with a 2.2. It is not a disqualifying factor in some colleges and Universities, but the very difficult ones to get into, even 2.1 would not save you.

A statement from Pretoria came after Trump, on Sunday, threatened to cut future funding to South Africa over alleged land confiscation and the mistreatment of "certain classes of people."

"South Africa is confiscating land and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY. It is a bad situation that the Radical Left Media doesn’t even want to mention. A massive Human Rights VIOLATION, at a minimum, is happening for all to see," he said on his Truth Social platform.

Trump’s outburst came after South African President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the Expropriation Bill into law last month, replacing the pre-democratic Expropriation Act of 1975. The new legislation outlines the process by which state entities can expropriate land in the public interest for various purposes.

Trump stated that the U.S. would halt all funding to the country until a thorough investigation into the matter was completed.

However, Ramaphosa emphasized that South Africa is a "constitutional democracy deeply rooted in the rule of law, justice, and equality."

He clarified that the only funding South Africa receives from the U.S. is for HIV/AIDS prevention.
“There is no other funding that South Africa receives from the United States.”

On Monday, while speaking, the South African president said:

Na so dem do survey documents for me using stamp of a surveyor that has since left Nigeria...not sure if the guy still dey alive sef. I took the documents to the Secretariat to apply for C of O more than 10 yrs later only to be told it was all fake, and the whole documents was paid for and completed by folks connected to the Local Government. They even came to the site many times, and gave a thumps up when they see that their documents were being used...just for me to find out years later. I had to hire a new surveyor and re-survey to get a red copy in Oyo State. That process is also worth writing a book about. The Govt, I have come to the conclusion love corruption. If they don't
1. All licensed surveyors should be posted on website or licensed easily verified like in sane countries.
2. Step by step ways to get things done will be easy and with less human contact
3. One would not need to bribe to get signature at the Secretariat
4. Then bribe for landed documents to get out.
5. The only way process is paying into govt account at the bank.

Something is truly wrong with governance, and this is not limited to one state.

Rapmoney:
A fake lawyer who has been impersonating a dead man, to dupe unsuspecting land buyers in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State was nabbed, after his atrocities were revealed. He has been conniving with land agents to commit crime. He claimed to have attended Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo State, but when he was asked questions about the school, he couldn't say anything meaningful. He also couldn't say anything about the law school he attended. Neither could he identify his lecturers and schoolmates. He was beaten blue black before he was handed over to the police.

Sometimes, I wonder about journalism. Who wrote this article, and how did non-import VAT that rose by 75%, leading the way when Company Income Tax grew by 102.5% with a total of N6.78trillion compared to non-import VAT totaling N5.13trillion? We are in serious trouble in Nigeria.

The latest figures indicate that all tax categories recorded significant growth in 2024 compared to 2023, with non-oil taxes driving the majority of the increase.

—Non-import VAT, which stood at N2.93 trillion in 2023, rose by 75.09% to N5.13 trillion in 2024.

—Similarly, import VAT more than doubled, increasing from N715 billion to N1.59 trillion, representing a 122.38% growth.

—Company Income Tax (CIT) also recorded a 102.5% rise, climbing from N3.35 trillion in 2023 to N6.78 trillion in 2024.
