Maybe others mock U because they feel they're better
And your quiet disposition, they abuse & batter
Maybe others visit the most beautiful places
But where to go from where U are, U can't make traces.....

Maybe U feel lonely, rejected & depressed
Nothing seems working & U're stressed
Maybe U've done your best, U've tried
But life has sucked U up & U're dried.....

I beg U, please never give up
For the way the almighty will bless U shall give your enemies hiccup
I see a bright light at the end of your tunnel
So, may U drink from God's blessing funnel.

After wallowing for so many years in brutality
And swimming all the way in severe fatality
Nigerians deem these actions wicked and unfit
And to the streets, candles have been lit.

We know most Nigerians have been ostracised
When a brighter future we had all fantasised
We know police and brutality was like bride and groom
But still in unity, we held onto the "broom".

We know most police killings were extrajudicial
And contrary to the marriage vows with our leaders, dealings were extramarital
Pushed to the wall remained the modus operandi
And oppression took over the modus vivendi.

Then we raised our voices in unity to our general overseer
That all our problems need panacea
In pain, tears and sorrow we cried
That we have been severely sucked, dried.

Maybe they felt we were not serious
Then we took to the streets in anger, furious
Peacefully and respectfully, we protested
But shocked to the bones we were when we got molested.

But now that properties have been destroyed
Some now are jobless who were gainfully employed
Now that more lives have been lost
Should we not save the rest at all costs?

Fellow Nigerian, THEY are now ready to listen, please
THEY are ready to attend to your pleas
Lets make peace and Kindle this nexus
Maybe it is time you drove your own lexus.

Please, let us put a stop to arson
So we could once again dance to the sweet tunes of our own Rex Lawson
I beg you, let peace reign
For our leaders are now ready to walk the right lane.

The time for peace has arrived
Positive change will surely be derived
Then our country, Nigeria will be great again
May the almighty heal our every pain.
