The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has condoled the families of two Nigerian Army and Navy personnel who paid the supreme price while defending students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, Newspremises reports.

The two personnel, Private Salisu Rabiu and Ordinary Seaman Bilal Mohammed lost their lives while engaging the bandits who attacked the school and kidnapped an unspecified number of students in the early hours of Monday, 5th July 2021, Newspremises reports.

The Governor said that the duo of Rabiu and Mohammed are heroes who lost their lives while engaging outlaws who represent the worst of humanity.

He added that their lives would not go in vain as the victory of evil men is only temporary, but their retribution permanent.

The Governor who prayed for the repose of their souls said troops and all security personnel on the frontlines deserve solidarity, motivation and gratitude, instead of condemnation.

He described negative comments against security personnel as a most unfortunate display of ingratitude in view of their sacrifices and patriotism.

The Governor has on behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State offered financial assistance to their immediate families.

Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs represented Governor El-Rufai at the funeral of Seaman Mohammed at Ungwan Kanawa Cemetery, Kaduna North LGA. Prayers were offered for Private Rabiu at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital's mortuary before his remains were taken to Daura, Katsina State for final interment.

I am 21 years old, I am not a virgin. I am rounding off my ND program by the grace of God in September. I have found someone that love me truly and He wants to get married to me. He has proposed and I have accepted, but my father and my siblings are against the marriage holding on the ground that they feels that I am too young to get married and they want me to further and get my HND. My father has refused to meet him in person or any of his envoys.

It is necessary for me to mention that my family has not being financially stable for a long time which has made it difficult for them to fully support my educational pursuit, leaving me to depend on my efforts and others. This has made me do some unprintable things that I am not proud of which my family did not even know about.

Since I met this guy, my life and his has been growing well. He accepted me the way I am. He love me genuinely and cherishes me. His dying business also resurrected and we are getting more closer to God than we were. He is the type that loves education. He has promised to further my education to whatever level I desire but my family will not want to hear of this or even see him. All they are after is that I should wait for more years.

The problem is that he is 34 and he said he cannot wait anymore and that he he has done his part. It is left for me to choose between him and my father's desire for me.

I love my family but I have found the man I want to build my future with and I don't want to become a runs girl in order to further my education. Please somebody should advice me before I do something stupid. I need advice desperately.

This depends on your city and state. And it really depends on how badly you beat up the person you intend to fight. If you use a weapon, that's a charge. If you destroy work property, that's a charge. If you disrupt the peaceful work environment, that's a charge. If the person you fight gets severely injured or dies, that's a charge. These are variables you have to consider. You could be in jail for a long period of time.
Plus, you run the risk of being fired.
Moral of this story, don't fight at work. Hash out your beef with someone off the work site somewhere.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to a threat issued by the Niger Delta Avengers on Saturday to sabotage oil productions facilities in the country.

Below is a statement from the President on Sunday signed by his media aide, Femi Adesina.

“The media was on Sunday awash with threats and demands by the group to embark on economic sabotage through bombing of critical oil and gas installations unless certain demands, including development of the Niger Delta, and restructuring of the Federation, were met.”

“It is, however, curious that the threat was coming less than 48 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari met with the leadership of the Niger Delta and Ijaw National Congress (INC), at the Presidential Villa, and the germane issues had been responded to, especially call for restructuring of the Federation, and the inauguration of a Board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).”
