ObiPandora:Go to the Niger delta and see the environmental degradation and pollution your so called investors have wrecked on their land. We must learn from our past mistakes. Our desperation for foreign investors shouldn't make us sign our death warrant. The Chinese are not people with scruples that you can trust fully. I bet you that they set up that plant because they are not interested in handling the waste the plant will generate in their own country. Before long you will begin to hear of poor waste disposal from that plant. Concerning my ethnicity, it is irrelevant to the discuss. |
Forget the DNA of marrying one wife in your 5 family lineage. Sit the rich babe down and explain your predicaments. I trust she would understand but you will have to keep 2 separate houses. Afterall you are also rich now. |
After round tripping abi? Why won't be happy. |
If government is lamenting, what are they expecting the common man to say - ululate? |
I never knew the act has been taken to this unenviable height . I was once told that they add our local gin "ogogoro" but this hypo, detergent and d potash can cause life threatening medical emergencies if not fatalities. We are definitely our own worst enemy. |
There is really hunger in the land. Scooping vegetable oil from the contaminated tarred road to sell to the unsuspecting public or personal consumption is unwholesome. |
Those countries that have adopted the dollars as their national currency are not faring better either. Check out Zimbabwe, Ecuador, Porto Ricco, etc |
Let him wear jersey now!! |
With the harmattan cold we are going through at the moment? Rivers State must have a special weather pattern. The emphasis should have remained on the light issue and not muddle up the waters with inanities . |
APCNig:Correction! Lithium doesn't waste away, it has been there for donkey years and will remain there for another thousands of years if it is not mined. I don't want us to repeat the mistakes we made with oil with another resource that requires foreign investors to process. The case of Niger and France concerning uranium mining is still causing ripples in the west African subregion. |
Bello should stop this media propaganda and submit himself to the EFCC if he's clean like he wants us to believe. Why is he evading an innocuous invitation? |
The Chinese are here to grab and leech on our resources again. I hope there will be stringent regulations to protect the environment and also prevent them from fleecing the state and country of our dues. Government should follow up on the agreement with them setting up a battery manufacturing plant in proximity to this processing/extracting plant |
Angelfrost:Expensive sarcasm !! |
It's always good to listen to both sides of the story. But why is it that it's the husband that is always paying for her shoppings. Doesn't she have a phone or debit card? |
It has always been obvious to the discerning. Often wondered why this fruit fell so far away from the apple tree! |
Angelfrost:Don't relegate sensibility to rational reasoning alone. That the economy is harassing our livelihood and the aloofness of the political class to it, is an attack on our sensibility. |
Just imagine! Flaunting cars and houses but unable to settle ordinary 91k bill and having to resort to wire fraud. This act is despicable and deplorable. It should warrant her expulsion from any association that governs actors in the country. |
So touchy! It's good to be good despite the harsh economic experience we are going through. Every act of genuine kindness not done for clout or societal acclaime will always engender reciprocate reward . |
Even his own people are accusing him of fueling insecurity in his home town. It speaks volumes |
ceasare:Some of those terrains are sometimes unreachable or heavily mined and will need coordinated approach. Accessing these locations will require traversing several enemy territories. I lost my immediate younger brother in one of such missions. The drones can not remain airborne forever you know. You will need to see the terrain to understand the complexities of the CDS's comment. |
Are we trying to politicize the palpable hunger in the LAND? Both the opposition and members of the ruling parties are not finding the spiraling cost of living in the last 8 months funny at all. Let's not insult the sensibilities of Nigerians at this critical moment in our economic quagmire please! |
"Dem no dey tell man say rain dey fall" |
Yinmu! |
This message is apt. They already know what may likely go awry should Nigeria eliminate SA at this stage of the tournament. Nice proactiveness |
The rising price of cement can most definitely not be divorced from all other commodities in the market. It's a reflection of how bad the naira is losing its purchasing power. For those still warehousing their monies in the banks, you are losing BIG TIME. |
Hunger induced hallucination |
Why will they cry when they have never really partaken of the"free food" previous regimes dolled out to their people. Now that the pot is empty, the "awof gang" can no longer fend for themselves except through palliation. The hunger has just started and it is surely going to RESET our cultural dispositions to how we view governance in this country. |
A curse brought upon us by our incompetent political class and ethno-religious jingoists who have traded logic and rational reasoning for primitive sentiments. Until we shed the toga of a rentier society which our democratic style seems to promote and festers, our slide into economic oblivion is a guaranteed prospect. |
Is this not a head of government whose medical records is out in the open? Asiwaju is still hiding the illness that is always taking him to France just like his predecessor did with regular visits to the UK prompting a curious prince Charles (then) to ask him if he had a house in London. Until they realize that occupying public office makes you a public property, the Gulf separating the masses from the political class will continue to widen. |
For those doubting the credibility of the CDS , let me paint you this scenerio. It is undisputable to every one that the Nigeria army now fly drones isn't it? The army on several occasions have intercepted and neutralized terrorists and bandits using these drones but before ground troops get to the area of rendezvous , only burnt out carcases of terrorists without their weapons would be met. In some instances, they even go with their dead. Another scenario is when surveillance planes give the coordinates of terrorists and bandits hideout and the artillery unit is called into action. The forward ground troop meet the same situation ( bodies without weapons).
|
Asiwaju will handle the economy. Shetima will take charge of security. Both sectors have collapsed woefully with devastating ripple effect on the masses. |
