Electricity generation, transmission and distribution is rocket science in Nigeria |
The Omales have hit jackpot with all the damages secured. Never knew we had different types of damages; 1- Aggravated damage 2-Specific damage 3- General damage |
That man's cup has been full since Buhari's era but no political will to take him in. There is a new sheriff in town and alas, what he thought could never happen has finally happened. Bodejo is finally in the net with his arrogance and entitlement mentality. |
Just one refinery consuming 650K barrels of crude oil and 100 million cubic feet of gas. By the time all our refineries come on stream plus the ones granted licenses but at different stages of completion , Nigeria will be a crude oil importing nation as there won't be enough to service our local demand which is a blessing in disguise. Kudos to Dangote as he becomes the 2nd largest fertilizer producer in Africa. |
The little babe doesn't even know what's on the placard she's posing with let alone the spurious non-binding contract on it. She's does not even have an insight to give an informed consent. |
tollyboy5:The video is every where on nairaland. |
The gratifying aspect is the capture of the kidnappers and the special treatment given them. Other wannabe kidnappers will think twice before embarking on such suicide mission. |
So unfortunate that they killed the bus driver. It is however gratifying to see that they were also apprehended and given befitting beating from which I doubt most of them will survive. Say no to kidnapping |
How much were they paid to put up such a disgraceful performance that will not only cost them their jobs but tarnish their image for Life? This is not the kind of democracy we envisaged and ordered for at all. |
Not again! |
Just imagine this kind of wickedness!! Why are we loosing our humanity at such an alarming rate in this country? This new culture of seeking wealth at all cost and by any means does not portray us in good light as a people. I sincerely pray they find that adorable child before harm comes to her. The police should also arrest the owners of the agency that employed for her for the family. |
There's "Trouble in form six". It's as if the spirit of crime was poured upon the country. No nook or cranny has been spared of the malady of unwanton killings. God have mercy "uponus" |
Why speed with such a big truck in heavily populated areas? These trailer drivers need reorientation. RIP to the dead. |
In as much as the city needs cleansing from all shanties, illegal structures and distressed buildings, I still feel ample time should be given for necessary amendments to be effected. People who are grappling with how to feed themselves may not be buoyant enough to carry on such capital intensive remediation at the moment. |
Gbaja is not in touch with reality obviously. I honestly don't think these guys are oblivious of the hardship Nigerians are passing through. They are innately just Wicked |
Nigeria is really a complex mix of the good, the bad and the ugly. What's the gain in plunging a population already pulverized by the current economic woes into unending darkness for which only a miniscule few can afford to provide alternate power source. |
They said the subsidy regime was fraught with corruption - TRUE Is it so impossible to remove corruption from the fuel subsidy scheme that we had to throw both the baby and bath water away? Asiwaju should have tried to extricate the corrupt practices in the subsidy regime before he "courageously" went off script to announce that "fuel subsidy is gone" See how the combo of fuel subsidy removal and floating of the naira has wrecked incalculable damage on the economy and severely impoverished the people. |
Still swimming against the tide. He seem to have the WILL POWER to cause the much needed reforms in the system but the opposition is fierce. So far, his policies are causing more harm than the desired good. Those taunted to be the brains behind his LAGOS exploits have drawn in the complexity of Nigeria economic quagmire. |
headboyprince:I can see you are suffering from AMNESIA as you clearly can't remember quoting me first. I will not join in your tirade to give you a semblance of importance concerning your intellectualism but your tenses already rates you as an inconsequential illiterate. If your so called intellect can not give you the good life you desire in Nigeria, then you are also useless to the "whiteman" you so sheepishly adore. To put the records straight, I have no affiliations with APC neither am I a die hard political enthusiast. Your assumptions only portray you as one who delights in roadside gossips and beer palour gists. About dealing with me, I am waiting. Here is another quote from the noble laureate that eloquently describes your sorry state. "We are building a generation of illiterates. They are the first to comment on the internet on issues they are ignorant about" Nigeria is indeed Green. |
Shanties in a mega city are eye sores and a safe haven for criminals. The commissioner for environment in Lagos state seems to be working in overdrive mode. Kudos! |
headboyprince:I can see your upbringing was a challenged one indeed, devoid of a figure to instill discipline in your juvenile exuberance. Must you always confirm your barbarism with every submission on a faceless forum as this. For your information, I can never trade Nigeria for the the western world because Nigeria is my green pasture. I already know your type from your less cerebral contribution and your resorting to spewing invectives because you are incapable of logical reasoning and judgement. Let me remind you of a quote from prof. Wole Soyinka again to epitomize your pitiable existence. “I don’t deal in social media. As far as I’m concerned, barbarians have taken over social media and they have swapped the intellectual quotient which used to make and still make social media valid in other societies. Here in this country, social media has been dragged down to the lowest common denominator" |
It's disheartening that every policy decision of this government has inflicted more pains on Nigerians than help assuage our economic woes. I guess this is the repercussion of them knowing that they were not elected by the masses afterall. The pressure has reached boiling point and there must be a give sooner or later. |
That would be a betrayal of trust. Nigerians would then seek alternative means of securing their funds in other jurisdictions. They better think through all the "unintended consequences" of such actions before implemention. Remember: To every ACTION, there is an EQUAL and OPPOSITE reaction |
We are all proud of him too. But tell him that "Nigerians no dey get joy finish o!" Na the same mouth we take shout HOSANNAH we go take shout CRUCIFY HIM , when Dem allow anyhow country defeat Dem o! |
Let's wait to hear from the other side before making an informed contribution to the post. |
They will not start a war but they have been arming proxies to attack their enemies and their interests. I believe the repercussions of going head-on against an Isreal with western backing is the deterrence keeping Iran from hitting Isreal. The also know that fighting a war in their own backyard will have grave consequences on their population |
Where do they want the Palestinians to seek refuge now? Accepted, the Hamas invasion and horrendous actions on the 7th of October is highly condemnable. However, the high handedness and disproportionate use of force on the women and children of Gaza by the Israeli government has already been labeled an act of GENOCIDE by the United nations. Even the Israelis know that it is practically impossible to eliminate Hamas completely from Gaza. So, why destroy the whole of Palestine for a Lost course? |
A dreaded man died on the pitch of play against the Angolans in 1989 Another dreaded man sent them home from the pitch of play in 2024 Revenge served a la carte
|
Interesting! The women are not smiling these days. Is it because we are in the year of "No gree for anybody"? The men from that area are truly given to alcohol binging. I remembered some years back when the governor even banned opening of drinking joint within working hours and any one or joint caught flaunting the law was committed to jail. There was even a ban on the drinking of a local spirit called GOSCOLO that time. What the women did is actually a violation of the law also. |
This is junk journalism Even doctors working there have to remove ward coats and shoes and tuck their tie into their shirts before crossing the sacred white line marked on the floor at the entrance. The babies there are very vulnerable and easily susceptible to infection hence the standard operating procedure for infection prevention and control. Any attempt to sensationalize this news or give it religious coloration will be in bad taste. |
It was a beautiful goal made in heaven. Now, Sam Okwaraji can truly rest in peace. Curiously, a man wearing Sam Okwaraji's trade mark dreads sacked the Angolans. Sweet Revenge served HOT on a global stage.
