emkz:You have said it all |
Could have been a cardiac arrest which may not only be drug induced. Hypertension is that silent killer that lurks around quietly without any serious overt symptoms until diagnosed by a simple BP check. RIP to the driver |
An epitome of the dreadful situation we now find ourselves. It is just the Nigerian "can-do" spirit is all that is keeping us going. Things are really getting out of hand. |
Mikespecialone:No be lies! |
So sad! May his soul rest in peace. |
With the way Wike was going about telecasting roads and flyover, you will think the incoming government will have nothing to do with road construction anymore. Kudos to Fubara on this one. |
That number may be spurious and low going by the galloping prices of food items in the markets. |
This man is a disgrace to his age. Imagine at 80 years and still engaging in nefarious activities! This one surely wasted his youth in riotus living . |
This was an "inside job". He has reached the end of his road. |
Why are they tough tackling this guy from all directions? They have not allowed Sim to rest since he went rogue on his political godfather. |
She's an Amazon. Her determination has yielded fruit at last. |
Interesting! Knowledge is power indeed. Just used same code to Link one of my Sims to the rest. Thanks op for this invaluable post. |
Xiaohei:That was my original plea that sparked all the tirade on this thread. I was only suggesting that our regulators should bring their A game to monitoring every investor whose line of business has any impact on our environment or health of workers in such facilities. My assertions were premised; one, on the devastation the oil companies have wrought on the Niger delta and two, the trail of devastation the Chinese are wrecking in mining sites located in other African nations. Nobody has exonerated the western world from similar infractions but they are more amenable to litigations than their Chinese counterparts. Remember, the international court gave a judgement I favour of the ogoni people and against SHELL not too long ago. Where can you take a Chinese company for arbitration and they will comply with the judgement? |
Are bodies in the mortuary clad in white caftan in Cameroon instead of being naked and chemically embalmed? How comes after such a long time rigor mortis has not set in? They should please tell us another story! |
The people in those pictures don't look like Fulanis in the first place. Their weapons are basic and rudimentary unlike what we see the real kidnappers brandish on social media. Then the presence of those swarm of dogs rules them out as people with malicious intent. |
Nice pose Cool outfit |
They will still not comply with the EXTRA 2 weeks extension. When the bulldozers roll in, then you will see emotional blackmail on social media. If we must make our environment clean and liveable then regulations must have its effect. |
Makamatic:Even if you lived in UK for 25 years, it doesn't change your innate nationality. You still have kith and kin in Nigeria to protect and care for your properties. Aren't you coming for holiday or something again? |
Xiaohei:Do yourself some schooling by exploring other nations where the Chinese have set up shop to extract rare earth minerals and you will agree with me why I'm pessimistic about their outwardly innocuous investment in this project which has the potential of becoming pernicious if the regulators take their eyes off the ball. The fact that wealthy Nigerians are not investing in lithium extraction does not mean we should jump at every investment with potential to harms our ecosystem, expose our citizens to degrading work and health conditions and fleece the nation of the desired foreign exchange. Elon musk has some modicum of scruples in his business organization unlike the Chinese who are renowned for their underhand tactics in business. The regulators like I said earlier have their work cut out for them. I will help you by providing a link to many of the atrocious behavior of the Chinese in other African countries. Not all that glitters is gold https://www.wilsoncenter.org/blog-post/examining-chinas-impact-mining-africa-critiques-and-credible-responses |
Man shall not live by BREAD alone. The "palliative market" if sustainable is the best option. Kudos to him. |
PROPEACE:“I strongly believe that with the construction of the lithium factory here in Nasarawa State, more of Chinese stakeholders will invest in Nigeria which would help to boost the economy of the nation,” The President of Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited, Pan Quen,

Prices of food is cheaper for those coming to buy with their over valued currency e. g CFA , Gh Cedi etc. But for a Nigerian in Nigeria earning in naira, "na die" The naira has a low purchasing power compared to the currencies of our neighbours. |
We don't trust you guys . If by just snatching a South African girlfriend, you guys can kill and destroy Nigerians properties, is it when we snatch the finals ticket from your country that you will behave? The fear of South Africa xenophobia is the beginning of wisdom. Nigerians in South Africa should avoid watching the match in viewing centers but instead in their homes and avoid boisterous celebrations. |
Thank God for sparing your life. A burst tyre is most definitely a horrifying experience especially if on a high speed. With the prevailing hardship in the land, buying brand new tires is the exclusive preserve of the wealthy as most of us now patronize used imported tires which are proned to burst unexpectedly during use. |
This thread is apt. The same way I have been encouraging my co-workers emigrating to the UK especially. Don't sell off your houses because you want to Japa. When shit hits the Fan, you can always have a house to come back to. Now most of them are into care giving and not health care they were offering in Nigeria. The honest truth is that they work more to earn enough to just get by as rent, transportation and utilities is gulping over 80% of their earnings. |
Haven't we suffered enough? Why does everything seem to be spiraling out of control these days? With the resurgence of fuel queues, the costs of basic commodities are bound to skyrocket in price with the attendant worsening of the plight of Nigerians. The one thing we were assured the Dangote refinery would provide us was products availability and not reduced price. So what the hell are they talking about with "supply chain or distribution issues" and why must Lagos which is the hub of petroleum refining be experiencing it also? |
RickyJesus:A barbarian spotted. If you are so incapacitated in making a coherent contribution on a simple topic as this, then I guarantee you that your 6 weeks Benin republic certification was also a waste of scarce resources. Let me school you on a popular quote from prof wole Soyinka. “I don’t deal in social media. As far as I’m concerned, barbarians have taken over social media and they have swapped the intellectual quotient which used to make and still make social media valid in other societies. Here in this country, social media has been dragged down to the lowest common denominator." |
I knew it will come to to this. The culture of enforced silence amidst suffering and maltreatment in our military is distasteful . |
Hardship does not know political affiliations. We are all equal and unified in this misery whether you voted for Asiwaju or not. The next election will be exciting if things continue this way. |
MasterTeeUSA:If those things you listed are parts of the T&C for operating the plant, it will be a welcome development. It will mean we are getting it right gradually. Imagine we had such contracts with shell , BP and chevron when oil was discovered in Niger delta to build refineries upon hitting any well with reserves of say a billion barrels . |
This is unafrican. The likes of Ahmaju Pinnick and co. Will never think of going on leave talk more of resigning. Etoo realised that his best was not good enough for the game and offered to resign so that another credible person with fresh idea can step in to offer service. That's the heart of a sports man. |
That's what SLS called a rentier society. |
