Christianity EtcRe: The Power Of Praise And Worship For Infertility by matoyeh(m): 3:24pm On May 26, 2013
[quote author=emydedon]Today I will love to share with you the importance of Praise and Worship in receiving your blessing from God. Do doctors tell you that you are infertile? Have low or no sperm count?

Have you been told you are too old to have a baby? If you answered "Yes," I am here to tell you that health, happiness, and a new family have all already been guaranteed to you. There is a way to have the child you so desire.

Imagine the sound of a child's laughter filling your home!

Picture having a family that daily brings you all the joy, peace, and love you could have ever dreamed of.

Visualize your baby growing healthily inside of you, ready to lead a full and abundant life with you.

I am here to tell you today that all of these dreams can be a reality, YOUR reality.

The easiest way to obtain victory over all theses situations is to praise and worship God. Praise means to glorify or extol God. To magnify and bless Him.

The Bible tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people. (Psalms 22: 3). What does the word inhabit mean? It means God lives in, dwells in, manifest himself in “the praises of His people. When we praise God, we have the Lord as a boarder, an in-dweller in us.

For many of you who face difficult or seemingly impossible situations, what you need to do is praise God. When you want God to inhabit your circumstances or difficulties you can do nothing better than to praise Him.

For when you praise him you are assured of His abiding presence inhabiting every life situation that may confront you. The only thing you and I can ever offer to God is our praise. We cannot give him money. There is nothing we can give him except praise.

How wonderful it is that God says in Psalms 50: 23 “that he who sacrifices thank-offerings honours me and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.” So you see when you start to offer God a sacrifice of praise these are some of the benefits available to you.

Benefits of praise.

Praise unlocks the windows of Heaven Praise causes doubt to flee Praise brings down showers of blessings Praise brings down the love and peace of God Praise brings freedom from bondage Praise changes every situation Praise establishes your heart in God and brings God into the circumstances Praise is the master key to God’s store house

When you become established in praise you become a true worshipper of God - and you thus prepare your way to reap God’s blessings. In writing on praise, I would like to share from the Bible about David. May the Holy Spirit quicken your understanding and help you understand the truth of the power of praise in Jesus’ name.

DAVID What was David’s secret? All his confidence and trust was in the Lord. His boasting was not of any man, but it was of the Lord. David said to Goliath, “You come against me with swords and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty”. (I Samuel 17: 45)

We see in the life of David a beautiful example of God’s hand of protection overshadowing and preserving him from destruction. In his youth David was attacked by lions and bears and later in life he encountered a giant (Goliath) on the field of battle. Against all these overwhelming odds, David was not killed but rather he destroyed those that were bent on destroying him. David said, “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves. For the battle is the Lord’s and he will give all of you into our hands.” (I Samuel 17: 47)

You can learn from David; his boasting and confidence was not of what any human could do, it was based on what God could do for him. David lived a life of praise; In the Bible there are Psalms of praise, written by David to God. In Psalms 34: 1, he declared: “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

This was his secret, God’s praise. David knew the power of praise. He knew God dwelt in our praises and nothing could stop him praising God. David listed some of God’s benefits to him for his life of praise as:

Redemption from destruction, Forgiveness for all our sins, healing of all diseases.

David attributed all theses benefits to his continued praise to God. God fights our battles when we praise him. As you start to praise Him, He will fight for you.

Praise is the Christian’s gun of battle. When the battles of life rage hard, the Christian who is fully armed with praise is well clothed for battle. God has commanded us to give him praise at all times. His praise should be to be continually on our lips. When God’s praise is continually on your lips you cannot be defeated. I encourage all the couples who face impossible situations to lift up their voices in praise of God. As you do that the peace and glory of God will come upon you. You say that you don’t know how to praise God.

The Psalms are full of praise songs. You can use Psalm 100, 159, 150, 117 to praise God. When I started my walk with God, all I knew was “ wow

PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by matoyeh(m): 9:58pm On May 15, 2013
Monimatic: ACN Condemns and Reject President Jonathan Declaration of State of Emergency

…Asks National Assembly to reject it

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has described the declaration of a state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States by President Goodluck Jonathan as lacking in original thinking, and therefore asked the National Assembly to reject it.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said if the use of force was capable of ending the Boko Haram crisis, it would have ended a long time ago.

It said while the President was right in expressing outrage over the mindless killings and wanton destruction by the insurgents, he was wrong in proposing more of the same measures that have failed to yield results.

”If the medicine given to a patient has not cured his or her illness, is it not futile to prescribe more of the same medicine for the patient? If the declaration of a state of emergency in 15 local government areas in four states in 2011 has not curbed the activities of the insurgents, why extend such measure to other areas? If the use of force in the affected states have failed to curtail the activities of the insurgents, why send in more troops?

”There is nothing new in the President’s action. It is more of the same: deployment of more troops to the affected states and the use of tougher, scorched-earth tactics against the insurgents. In the first instance, this stepped-up militarization of the states amounts to an asymmetric use of force in an environment where the insurgents operate within a civilian population, hence it will ultimately be counterproductive as the death toll will continue to mount while the civilian population – who will be caught in the cross fire – will be alienated.

”Secondly, the President should go ahead and disband the committee he recently inaugurated and saddled with reaching out to the insurgents, because by opting to flood the states with more troops under an ill-advised emergency rule, he has succeeded in pulling the carpet from under the Committee’s feet. Who negotiates genuinely with a gun
to his head? The committee’s job is over, the members can as well pack up and go home.

”Thirdly, one hopes the President’s action is not linked to the politics of 2015. With the three states militarized, there can neither be electioneering campaign nor voting there. We had warned earlier that as 2015 approaches, the Jonathan Administration will increasingly take measures that will make it impossible to hold election in many states The over militarization of some states in the north, the plan to destabilise the South-west using slush funds from the so-called oil pipeline protection contract and the infantile threats from some Niger Delta militants seem to be part of this plan

”Fourthly, what happens if and when the declaration of emergency rule fails to stem the violence, now that the President has gone for broke and played his last card?

”In view of the reasons stated above, we hereby reject the declaration of emergency rule in the three states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, and we call on the National Assembly to also reject it and not allow itself to be used to rubber stamp a declaration that is largely cosmetic.

”We reiterate our earlier statements that the Boko Haram crisis has its roots in years of bad governance that have produced an army of unemployed,
unemployable, disenchanted and demoralized youths who are now ready hands and willing tools for those seeking to perpetrate violence. The unprecedented corruption across the land, as well as injustice and extra-judicial killings are also fuelling this crisis,” ACN said.

The party said while the short-term solution to the Boko Haram crisis should be a combination of dialogue and a minimal use of force, the long term measure to deny Boko Haram of willing recruits and make the sect unattractive to anyone is to ensure that the State can adequately meet the yearnings and aspirations of its citizens. And the only way to do this is through good governance that delivers the dividends of democracy to the citizens; stamps out corruption and ensures a just and equitable society.

”Boko Haram is like a bad tree. To kill it, it must be uprooted, instead of trimming its branches. The measures announced by President Jonathan on Tuesday will not deliver the killer punch to this reprehensible sect. There is need to think out of the box,” it said.

CASH GIFT,PLOTS OF LAND,NATIONAL HONOURS FOR EAGLES
Posted: Feb 13, 2013

Members of the victorious Super Eagles who Sunday night in South Africa ended Nigeria’s 19 year wait for another African Cup of Nations trophy were last night showered with cash gifts, plots of land and national honours by President Goodluck Jonathan at a grand reception in honour of the team held at the Banquet hall at Aso Villa in Abuja.

Each of the 23 players and the four assistant coaches got a cash gift of N5m while the team's head coach,Stephen Keshi was given N10m.The remaining backroom staff like the medical crew, media officer, curator, secretary and camp coordinator got N2M each.

Both the players and officials were also given plots of land in Abuja in addition to national honours ranging from Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) to Member of the Order of Niger (MON).

Keshi got the highest honour on the night as he was conferred with the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) while his assistants-Sylvanus Okpalla,Ike Shorunmu,Daniel Amokachi and Valerie Houandinou as well as Eagles captain,Yobo were conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).The remaining 22 players were conferred with the Member of the Order of Niger (MON).

Unlike in previous awards, each of the awardees got the documents for the land as well as the national honours.Complete Sports could not confirm if the cash was also paid to the players last night before going to the press.

In his speech,President Jonathan thanked the Eagles for bringing honour to Nigeria.

Thanking you all for bring the cup home. These set of boys and the technical crew have made us proud. We have the golden family that will receive and congratulate you for winning the 29th edition of the Nations Cup. You could be the Moses or the Musa of the team.

''I thank coach Stephen Keshi and all members of the team who have worked very hard and played with great focus, dedication, artistry and patriotism to make Nigeria the proud champions of Africa once again after 19 years of setbacks in the competition.

''I also want to commend the Minister of Sports, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, the Chairman and members of the Nigerian Football Federation and all others who have contributed to the astonishing transformation of the Super Eagles from underdogs to gallant winners and glorious soccer champions of the African continent'',said the president who wants all Nigerians to learn from the success of the team.

''I believe that the team’s amazing transformation from rank outsiders to champions is a clear manifestation of the even greater successes the country can achieve in all other fields of human endeavour if all Nigerians come together and devote their immense collective energies and resources to supporting the implementation of his my administration’s agenda for national transformation.

As we celebrates this remarkable triumph in South Africa, I want to urge you all to imbibe the positive lessons of the Super Eagles’ success because the fulfillment of the country’s immense potentials for greatness will be more speedily attained if more Nigerians resolve to emulate the team’s exemplary unity of purpose, dedication, commitment and devotion to service of the nation.

''I believe that having conquered Africa, the new Super Eagles can go on to achieve even greater glory at the World Cup in Brazil next year and I assure the team that it will receive every necessary support and encouragement from the Federal Government for that next national assignment''. The Eagles had earlier in the day arrived back to a heroes welcome by adoring crowds.

Hundreds welcomed the team back at the airport in Abuja before an ceremony later in the afternoon at the National Stadium.

Along the road from the airport toward the city, school children dressed in their uniforms waited for the team convoy and waved Nigerian flags.

Ivory Coast midfielder Salomon Kalou confirmed he has paid John Obi Mikel $5,000 following a bet regarding the outcome of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final tie against Nigeria on Sunday. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

The two African powerhouses clashed at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium for a place in the last-four, with the Super Eagles emerging 2-1 victors after Sunday Mba cancelled out Cheick Tiote’s equaliser following Emmanuel Emenike’s 42nd-minute opener.

Speaking after the game, Kalou revealed the bet with his former Chelsea team-mate, and said he has stuck to his word and paid up.

“It was a very good game with Nigeria and they truly deserved to win. They started the game very well and scored at the right time. Now I’ve fulfilled my part to him (Mikel),” said the 27-year-old forward.

Mikel, meanwhile, was happy to have won the wager, but was even more delighted to have seen Nigeria overcome the Elephants to progress to the penultimate stage of Africa’s biggest tournament.

NIGERIA PLAYER RATINGS:

6 Chigozie Agbim - Tried hard to impress. Always too quick off his line.

4 Solomon Kwambe - Big climb down from Venezuela performance.

4 Benjamin Francis - On this evidence, hard to see why Taye Taiwo is not in the squad. Horrid.

7 Godfrey Oboabona - Always available for the last ditch clearance. Impressive composure, tackling and play-reading.

5 Azubuike Egwuekwe - Maybe it’s the partnership, maybe it’s him. But does not inspire confidence.

5 Fegor Ogude - Not up to his usual standards. Can play much better.

8 Ogenyi Onazi (MOM) - Loads of running, superb tackling, good vision for both the assist, and his near goal.

4 Sunday Mba - Barely saw him. Hardly provided support for his fullback.

5 Ejike Uzoenyi - Looked lost most of the time.

7 Brown Ideye - Plenty of hard work, lots of running, but decision-making needs work.

7 Bright Dike - Power, running and a good finish for his goal. But still not bought a Nations Cup ticket yet.

RATEABLE SUBS:

6 Kenneth Omeruo - Stabilised right-back position. Ominous for Kwambe.

5 Ike Uche - Put himself about, almost scored.

5 Emmanuel Emenike - Held up the ball well, but looked a mite rusty.

4 Ahmed Musa - Just couldn't get in the groove.
