Lol...very funny... U might be wrong ooo....yeah i do know some ladies do such but pls it doesnt neccessarily mean she is one of dem. U dont hv to jump to conclusions yet
I am not jumping to conclusion ... I am basically coming up with my observation after reading her message.

First she tries to make us understand she is popular and hotly chased by other guys ... In my opinion that's an unnecessary information it basically highlights the fact that she is confused as to why the guy in question is not joining the queue of guys chasing after her Almighty hotness.

Secondly she likes the guy and states she wants him as a Friend ... Meaning her intention is just to add him to her list of guys she has friend zoned.

She mentioned the fact he is currently very close to another lady. It would not be wrong to suggest that she feels very jealous that this cool guy choses to be close to someone else or fancy someone else and that someone happens not to be her Almighty hotness.

cheesy the bottom line is in my opinion this is not a case of a girl who truly likes a guy for the right reasons but for a complety different set of reasons with most of them selfishly oriented.

OP, how do u expect such a nice and cool dude to approach you when you have baricaded yourself by hanging on the arm of the "most wanted guy" in your level. So much so that most people think you are dating. You get loads loads of attention from all the guys in your level buy flirting with them.

Must you have every guy in your class? He's the last one remaining and you must have him even when you know he has a favourite girl.

I don't think you really love him. You only want to conqure him since he's probably one of the few guys left that is not really bothered by you.
@bolded exatcly ... this is the main. Reason.

I have once nearly been a victim of such type of girls. I hardly, I mean hardly give women attention if she like make fine like Miss world me no send. I only send you if I really like you or we have something in common. .. If we don't, to me you do not exist.

Now I have discovered that most of them are surprised that every guy is bowing at their feet giving them attention and you seem not to send them it hurts them a little and they therefore embark on a mission to see whether they can win your likeness not because they like you but for more of an ego boost.

I can smell their intention from afar. My intuition tells me this Op sounds like one of these type of women.

Now from your post I can deduce you are some of those clients we developers call "CLIENTS FROM HELL" no offence please. First of all what's the big deal about konga ahahahah grin then you mentioned google, its so funny. The good guys are busy because they are working on a project so are the bad ones too, infact the bad ones seems more busy cos they charge at a ridiculously low fee which most of u clients do fall victim off due to your greed tongue some of you clients don't even know what u want and u think ur developer is doing rubbish for you. There are some guys here on this webmaster forum who don't do any jobless thank 100k some maybe tempted to do less, its not because they don't worth more it could just be because they need the money badly.

If you want a facebook sef, guys plenty here wey go do am for you
Clients from helll or whatever you deduce you are on your own. What's the big deal about konga ... ask the 40 really talented developers working for konga, the investors who have invested over 80million dollars in the business.

The fact is you never understood my post and came up with really wierd deduction. My use of the analogy that they are working for the likes of google and kongs simply means The good guys are scarce one reason among many is because they few ones we have are in high demand by top IT companies who go the extra mile to track them down and recruit them with very good pay ... Something I think they deserve.

The mistake a client can make is to judge the quality of a developer by how much he charges you because I have been there and done that. I am the kind of person who knows what I want to the letter and can empty his account in as much as I can get the best, I do not compromise on quality. What I discovered is that majority of people who call themselves top developers overestimate their skills and in turn their price.

You stated that guys plenty wey fit do facebook ... I think what you meant is that guys plenty wey fit use template, guys plenty wey fit use already made code plugins and scripts with out understanding how they work. Guys plenty wey think they be don when they don sabi how to customise WordPress and joomal. Guys plenty wey think they done arrive once they understand small php, Mysql and java etc.

Dude my real eyes opened to how really good most developers are the moment I learnt a little about web development. It would surprise you that I now even carry out basic website project on my own without help, I built my company website have made some cool cash doing same for my friends. So I can tell when a dev guy is good or not ... I do not judge their skills by how much they charge. I judge them by the 3bench marks I stated in my earlier post.

Because a developers price from experience is a really wrong criteria to use in judging a developers skill.

@mathewbriggs not all nigerian developers are bad so don't generalise pls, I will not sound my trumpet so I won't tell u what and what have developed here and I know a host of other guys here that are soo good. Greed is often a factor that kills clients when looking for a developer to handle their jobs. Remember this forumn on which you post this was developed by a nigerian tongue
I am not doubting the fact that there are not good developers ... But they are extremely few... Its like finding a needle in a haystack ... What we have are lot of learners and intermidiate level guys. The really good guys are hard to find. They are either busy working for the likes of Google and Konga ... And even when you find them they are extremely expensive when compared to their global counterparts in developing countries like ours.

What I do is commit them with low level tasks for now or hire them to manage already built products ... But for really deep technical projects I outsource ...
WebmastersRe: How to Spot Rogue Web Developers before giving a project by Matthewbriggs(m): 6:38pm On Oct 19, 2014
I can relate with the Op. Nigeria has a huge talent deficit and has lots of people who see IT as salvation from hunger and poverty. I have been a victim of rogue developers not just one, two or three. I have lost more that 500k to them. But I have learnt my lesson the hard way. From experience these are what to look out for.

Motive - What drives him as a person, What is he passionate about, is it the desire to make a quick buck, is he interested in fame, money or leaving a legacy doing something he can attach his name to? This can be derived from interacting with him.

Skill/Talent: It is helpful to know a little about development ... It pays a lot to take your time to study web development a little. because doing so It will arm you with knowledge to really know when a developer is not grounded. It will also help you make better pricing decision for a project. You also get to know how good he is and to what extent. Does his previous job show that he is the kind of person that pays attention to detail. how aware is he of the current technologies available.

His Background :- Run a background check on him, check out his credibility among fellow developers. If possible ask someone deep into IT to vet him.

Finally pay in installments : ... Pay them as the reach certain milestones do not pay them in full. So that encase things go wrong you would not have lost so much. I pay in 3 phases. 20% pre 40% when project reaches 60% completion and remaing 40% when project is 100% completed to my satisfaction.

Moreover after the several setback I have suffered in the hand of Nigerian developers, For my really technical project I now using platforms Like odesk.com to outsource most of my development projects to top development teams and guys in India, Us and Uk in fact where-ever they are around the globe and they deliver speedily and efficiently. I have achieved in 2weeks what I spent 6 months battling with a Nigerian developer.

Till Nigerians developers get their acts together I do not see my self working with any of them soon. Except on minor projects or employing them to manage an already built products.

rationalmind:
I think you misunderstand bro. Memory decay doesn't explain their contradictory responses. I'll tell you why.

Memory decay is a phenomenon that progresses with time. That is, the longer the time, the more one forgets the experience until one experiences another.

Now, the researchers found out that, after two days, they rated the experience less painful only to rate it highly painful after two months.

Memory decay should have made them rate it even less painful after two months than they rated it after two days.

You can say memory decay accounts for their responses after two days, it can't account for their responses after two months. Saying that it does is inconsistent with what memory decay is all about.

PS: As you rightly said, no one in his or her right senses will claim labour isn't painful. Of course, it is. The point is that the pain is being exaggerated.
No I am not ... Memory decay simply makes you not give an accurate information of a past event. emphasis on accurate. Meaning it gives you room to underestimate or over estimate a past event depending on who you are and a whole range of other factors. Meaning if we are to go by memory decay some women overestimate and some may underestimate child birth pain.

If you read my post in detail the real thing I was focused on in ... is to point out the flaw of their research method not their findings. . I do not agree or disagree with them until they conduct their research properly.

Reason is, in this scenario gathering data just by interviewing past patients is flawed be it 2days or 2months... If you read my post you would see where I mentioned that ... Patients in pain are notorious for both understating and overstating their degree of pain. Also, some patients may be incapacitated in some way and unable to properly articulate their level of discomfort.

Let me paint this scenario.

When you have a accident and incur a big wound. the body emit adrenaline that dumbs down the pain a little. But after some time when it wears off, that is when you start to feel the real pain . If you were asked immediately when you had the accident about how painful the wound was I can bet you your response would be different but 10days or even 2-hours later when the adrenaline has settled. You may be even more capable of giving a more accurate information of how painful the pain was.

What I am trying to point out here is that the data they were getting 2 months or 2days only via interviewing them maybe flawed. They needed to use a more objective way of coming to this finding. A method I explained in my earlier post.

That's all my post was about.

Ps. In summary... Most people think childbirth is just the push push ... It's a whole package and experience with a whole range of pains both pre, in the process and postpartum pains infact their are 9 surprising postpartum pains women face days and even months after delivery. The only time adrenaline really comes to the rescue to numb down the pain a little, is when they baby is about coming out. I think this is one angle the researchers did not even consider.

#Mathewbriggs
FamilyRe: God bless all Mothers. Amen by Matthewbriggs(m):
Fact 1. Child birth is a painful process for women ...
Fact 2. The woman's body is designed for childbirth and therefore has the ability to make this process a little bit easier to bear. thank to adrenaline and other body changes.
Fact 3. But that does not still eliminate the fact that childbirth is still a painful process.

Now the bone of contention here is a Study that says child birth pain is not as painful as women claim. they funny thing is that they came to this conclusion after interviewing 320 women. Emphasis on the word Interviewing.

I think this claim is wrong because it is based on a shaky foundation. First the use of interviews to measure pain is not a fool proof strategy and the most objective tool out there. I would come to that later.

So this is what they did. They asked these women two days after delivery and two months after delivery and because their response differed they concluded that they overestimated how painful the labor pain was.

First It seem this researchers have never heard of

Memory decay. > Memory decay refers to the loss of memory over time. This is how it works information that is not rehearsed disappears as time passes. Information being held in STM is pushed out by newly arriving information. What this means is that given that child birth is not an activity that is rehearsed the information that has to do with this experience disappears with time, and In this case the new information that is the joy of the holding their new born baby in their arms displaces or withers down the old memory i.e magnitude and pain of child birth. That is why, when they were asked two months later they came up with a different answer.

Secondly we need to understand how the brain remembers pain.

Let say by chance the pain get stored in the long term memory... Depending on the pain certain types of pain may reside deep inside the stored memory (long term) in the brain and but they require a special state of consciousness to bring out these memories in really clear details. You need to engage in an action similar to that scenario to remember in concrete detail that stored memory.

For example when I was Kid I hated injections because of the pain. I only remembered in clear details the magnitude of the pain I felt when I took my last injection only when I was about to take another injection or when I saw someone taking an injection.

For example pain memories associated with rape are easily remembered and recalled, most times by the victims when they are about engaging in a sexual activity.

So what I am driving at is that let's say the child birth pain ends up been stored in the long term memory... The only time these women would actually remember the initial magnitude of the pain in clear details is when they are about having their next baby in the labor room or in a similar scenerio.

Let me ask a simple question how many of you can accurately remember how painful it was the last time you bit your tongue while chewing, Or the pain you felt when your parent whopped you when you were a kid.

The right way to go if they wanted to prove their point is by measuring pain OBJECTIVELY. Yes pain can measured objectively.

According to this report

Neuroscientists have developed a technique to predict how much physical pain people are feeling by looking at images of their brain scans. Until this point, the only way for doctors to "measure" pain is by using a pain scale. This typically involves patient self-reporting — like ranking pain on a scale from 1 to 10 — and observing their behavior.

This can be problematic when doctors have to make important clinical decisions. Patients in pain are notorious for both understating and overstating their degree of pain. Also, some patients may be incapacitated in some way and unable to properly articulate their level of discomfort.

Looking to contribute to ongoing efforts to measure pain, neuroscientists from the University of Colorado Boulder, New York University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Michigan set about the task of using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to identify objective measures of pain. Their findings now appear herer >> http://io9.com/5839517/an-objective-way-to-measure-pain-its-closer-than-you-think
So what they would have done is Scanned the brain of these women while giving birth to get a more objective measurement of their pain and also get a verbal response and then proceed to Scan their brain when the are experiencing another less painful activity like Mensuration and also get their verbal response. Now the can then proceed to contrast both pain measurements and responses to figure out if they are lying about the magnitude of the pain during child birth.

Finally child birth pain is subjective ... some give birth smoothly while some don't. Whether women are lying about the pain is something I can't agree or Deny until a more concrete experiment is carried out.

That's cool...but it seems your readings centres on business and advertising...

Well...am not much of a business type ,so i think these kind of books may just crack me up as I wasn't a fan of economics back in the days...

Owing to your writing prowess... I was wondering what kind of books you read that helps you give a clear picture of what's going on in your mind...
What makes your epistles increasingly interesting with each paragraphs
What helps sharpens your perspective...
What aids you in establishing your ideology etc

Have been reading fictions all my life...I just felt like switching to another aspect of literature...
I am not limited in the kind of books I read. Moreover the books I read is influenced by my reading strategy.

Which comes from the understanding that, their are so many books on earth containing precious knowledge but as humans we have limited time to consume them, we can't read all the books in the world.

The question is how do I make the best out of the limited time. So I desinged a reading strategy that is focused on my knowledge needs at the moment.

I start by asking my self what knowledge or information is currently holding me back at the moment to execute on a particular task or move to the next level in life. Then I go after books that fill that gap.

For example I recently started my own advertising/multimedia outfit a while back. I felt I needed to understand the art of persuation getting clients to connect with me and believe in my ability to deliver.

I grabed a couple of books in that direction and the fact today is I now find it easy to influence people i.e persuade them without them knowing. I give better presentations and my proposal writing skills have improved with a healthy success rate.
Thanks to some Harvard review books

Now due to this strategy fiction barely comes into the equation.

Inbtwn...
Thanks for the complement man. Moreover I think I am still rusty when it comes to writing given that I started writing recently.

But in answer to your question.

What shaperns my perspective is mainly because I listen more that I talk. I read more that I write. I don't mean this in a cliche way.

I actual enjoy trying to understand other peoples opinion and their point of view as I the screen them against my value system and pick out the essence of their message. I listen to both side of the argument with an open mind. I look at how they build thier arguments and how the manner the use in passing their message across. I enjoy learning.

As cliche it might sound The more you read the better your write it is very simple.

In regards to what makes my articles increasingly interesting with each paragraph.

The truth is I actually design it that way. I take a very conscious effort to building a narrative that sucks the readers in. I see every epistle as story, as journey with a destination. So I focus on how do I present my message in a manner that makes the journey interesting, leaving my readers looking forward to the next bus top in that journey.

How I do this exactly is a story for another time. smiley

I would rather watch a movie than read fiction... Time is very precious especial time I allocate to read... Reading something that is not real, a product of someones imagination is not an attractive prospect for me. I would rather spend that time reading something that is concrete and based on reality.

I barely read motivational books ... I read mostly educational books that exposes me to a new concept, idea and way of seeing the world. I prefer to read opinion pieces, research findings, business reviews etc.

It is very simple. I start by SINCERELY caring about the client, and falling in love with his business, Then I put my self in his shoes, and try to figure out what his dream, goals and challenges are. I then pivot my presentation as an answer to these needs. Reason been that for me its not just about me the money I earn from my client, but the fact that I see myself as a mini god on a mission to use my creative powers to help his business succeed and on this mission failure is not an option.

This mindset does the magic for, because everything flows naturally.

There is no clear cut formula. But basic constants such as the need for adequate preparation, good communication skills and a good prototype before going for a meeting cannot be overemphasized.
