Romance / Re: What A Guy Did To Me At Iwo Road Ibadan, A Bitter Experience. by Maureenho(f): 1:28am On Jan 29, 2022
maxwelltony:
Good morning Nairalanders

There is this particular guy that I met on Facebook about two month ago in Facebook, we have been talking and he calls me almost everytime, he has tried to invite me to his house in osun state on different occasions but due to security issue I had to decline his invitation..

We planned to meet on Wednesday and he told me he was coming from osun state, so I told him to drop at Mr Biggs in Iwo Road Ibadan..

I stay at challenge so I had to #200 cab from there down to Iwo road, I was having about #1300 with me before leaving the house, I was already waiting for him for about 40minute before he showed up, he told me his car has fault and that he had to call his mechanic to fix the car for him, we sat down and talked.

During our discussion, he told me to please give him 1k to get something to drink, that he had forgotten his wallet in the car and his phone is off to make a transfer, I gave him and he ordered for soft drinks and meat pie..

Along the line, he told me he needed to make a call and requested for my phone so that he can direct the mechanic bringing down his car, I heard him calling and was directing the man down to Iwo road, all of a sudden he just went outside and before I could know it this guy has dissapeared with my phone and was just looking at him from afar..

I couldn't shout as I was just looking like a fool because I don't know what's happening, I waited for about 1hr thinking he has gone to pick the mechanic, I tried calling my number but was switched off, he has gone with my phone and I don't know his number off hand.
I had use the #100 left with me to buy recharge card and was left with nothing..
It was a bitter experience for me as I had to trek all the way from Iwo road to Olorunsogo, When I couldn't continue with trekking I had to approach a lady to please help me out
with #100 after explaining my situation to her and she gave me #500 and wished me well.

I thank God it was not more than this, he only went away with my phone, what if he had used me for ritual?

Please ladies be careful about the kind of guy you hang out with, always take your time to know the person you are moving out with..

I had learnt my lesson, and have handed him over to God .

Send me a DM and I will tell you what to do to get your phone back and get him arrested

Sports / Re: Gambling Has Turned Me Into A Serial Debtor!!! by Maureenho(f): 7:20pm On Jan 26, 2022
Austinboy:
I purposely opened this thread so i can let out all I'm passing through and feeling because I've been having suicidal thoughts. Right now as i speak, i can't even use my own original sim as a result of constant threats from people i owe.

Let me start this way. I used to be a very upright person who detested gambling. Even back in school when my then room mate used to, i looked at him somehow. Fast forward to after NYSC, just by hearing a discussion of how someone made 300k with 100 naira. I decided to try. I started out with 100 and then when 1 game cuts it, i will say i have hope. 100 sooned turned to me staking 1000 then i went out of control from there.

I started gambling on dog racing and before i knew it, u did the one which eventually wrecked me. I started gambling on instant virtual first on bet9ja before i moved to sportybet.

Last year was the worst. I made millions of naira but all when down the drain on virtual bets. There have been days when i can finish 500k in just an hour on virtual.

Right now I'm indebted to so many apps. My name has been broadcasted severally and people who used to look uo to me are wondering what went wrong. I don't know if i can ever build my image again. I'm so ashamed of myself that i don't know if i should live again. The problem is anytime i have money, even after saying i won't go back. Once I'm credited, i go straight to it. It won't be an exaggeration to say i have lost over 15m within the last 5 to 6 years I've been into this shameful habbit. Please i need help, i need advice maybe from someone who has gone through this phase successfully because I'm at the verge of ending it all. I used to be so responsible and now my life is not worth emulating at all right now.

Mods please help me move this to front page as i need someone, just anyone to tell me how i can move forward from this mess.

If you can send me a private message, I will give you my private number to call me or you can drop your number here let me call you and talk to you. What God can not do, does not exist. Your present predicament is nothing bro.

Please house, is there anyone coming to Vienna before 10th of February, 2022?
Crime / The Wickedness Of Our Politician. by Maureenho(f): 3:50pm On Dec 22, 2021
This is intimidation.

It's simply heart breaking.

This is what happened

His driver struck me while he was trying to over take from the right, opposite Anamco this morning and called him.

To my greatest dismay, he came and began threatening and intimidating me with his policemen that I will spend my Christmas in police net, and I asked him a simple question before he drove off. "Your driver scatters my car and you come here to say this?"

He couldn't say anything. Except, that I should go or better stay there and left.

I wept not because of the damage, but because I never excepted such and coming from a public figure like him, that was damaging.

His name is Hon Ikechukwu Ezeugwu Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu the Majority leader of Enugu State House Of Assembly representing Udenu constituency...

If you are in Nigeria, you need to legalise all your documents. Some Schools can give you admission without Legalisation while some will not. Just be aware that before Austria Embassy will give you Visa, you need to submit all your Legalisation documents to them

Travel / Nigerians With Expired Passports In The Philippines Cry Out by Maureenho(f): 11:54am On May 29, 2021
Many Nigerians students in Philippines risk deportation because of non renewal of their expired International Passport. The Nigerian Embassy in Philippines does not have Passport desk and rely on Nigerian Embassy in Thailand for their Passport renewal. It is only Nigeria as a country that has this particular issues of non renewal of their Passports. Lots of African countries in Philippines have seamless Passport renewal, even those their Embassies are not here send their Pass through courier to where the Embassies are located and they get their passports renewed and mail back to them effortlessly. Why does Nigerian leaders chose to make sure their citizens Pass through help to have a good living anywhere they are. Below is attached news from Punch Newspaper.

The last time I checked it before today, the Case Last Updated was April last year and I checked it today it is showing November last year. What do I do my wonderful friends?

Please guys... Can someone certify his document in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Embassy with a proxy.

I don't stay close to Abuja, so I'm considering a friend, who stays in Abuja, doing them on my behalf.

Sure you can. I sent documents to Nigeria and is done for me by proxy. Get a friend and let your friend go with his ID card and he will be sorted out.

Am not frustrated, its you who is stranded and frustrated in a strange land.

I am not stranded and I can't be. If Nigerian government is up and doing, no one will come online to ask for a basic services other countries are enjoying without raising an eyes brow. This is 2021 and change your mentality.

baba how do you cope in this country? 1USD is around 23000 Vietnam dong.

You don't use the exchange rate to judge the cost of living and other things. Their minimum wage is 72,000 naira. As an English teacher, you are considered as an expert and your salary ranges from $700-$2000 after tax depending on one experiences. You can make more researches on your own.

Dem developers you think you have the right to get lost in obscure places in the world.

You don't have to come online and display your level of your education. You have Internet and phone in your hands, try and do a little research. Your are the type that base in Nigeria and will be giving advice about what happens in abroad.

Sorry to hear of your plight. However, you'd have to go to Bangkok, Manila, or KL.

Mind you, if the criminals working at the KL office some years ago are still there, then, it's a no go area.

The nearest place to get it done is Malaysia but one needs to pay $1600 for 14 days quarantine and before Vietnam allows one in, he has to get an entry permission from their government and in turn pay $1500 for 14 days quarantine. Vietnam government does not grant any African entry permit ones on exit the country. My friends that came back to Nigeria to renew theirs spent not less than $3000 on flight ticket alone and they are already stuck in Nigeria. It is terrible

Same with the Nigerian Embassy in Atlanta. I went through hell to renew my Nigerian passport. The crowd, the chaos the incompetence. I was there from 9am till 4.30pm in the freezing cold.

And the consulate employees were so arrogant and rude...it was as if they were doing us a favor by attending to us. And the passport expires in 5yrs instead of 10yrs so we can come back quickly for more experience. I didn't go through that kind of hassle to get my US passport.

How i wish ours is renewing passport, I am ready to sleep there till I get it done. This is frustrating indeed. Nigeria has not made their citizens proud for ones. I pray help would come for us on time

You will surely get deported if you try that in a place like vietnam

You are 100% correct. Here is very organise that one has to respect his/herself. I can't even think of that. A Socialist country that is well organised.
