It's crazy how this room has dried up.
A year or two ago, I would stop by every now and then, to learn a thing or two.
Interactions were intense and visitors were plentiful.
I guess applications to the Polish Embassy have dried up now along with this room.
Where are folks traveling to these days sef??

To the UK

Did your friend and brother know his/her graduating class and GPA yet?
That will determine the appointment category they belong to. If 2:2, Cat B, they should begin by booking appointment and seeking admission.

Certification can be done at Germany embassy in Lagos, MOFA/Min of Edu, High Court (in form of attestation).

OK, thank you. He has 2:2 cat B

It's still possible for you to still make it using the assumption you gave. However, it would have been ideal if you applied for a further session like April or September 2023 in order for you to have ample time for preparation.

Just hope you get your unconditional offer by October. Then CAS by November. If it happens this way, then you are good to go.

Cheers.

OK. Thank you!!

When did you actually apply?

Due to university unions strike, I have not been able to get my transcript, was able to this time they resumed and I applied immediately about 4 days ago, waiting for their response. I am concerned about the visa process, the length it takes for the whole process and average time it takes schools to issue out CAS. Let assume for example that I got response from schools two weeks from now, i.e. mid October, will 2 months i.e. November and December be enough to process my visa including the reception of CAS and any required documents from school for visa application. I applied for January 2023 resumption.

Please kindly comment on courses with placement and with no placement just in case I get any response from schools to know the one to accept. I am going for Msc Accounting and Finance.

Thank you

TesoDee:
Good morning all. Please, this piece of advice is very important for prospective Nigerian students who intend to study in the Czech Republic.

1. This fact is hardly mentioned, but please note that the Czech Embassy in Nigeria offers only 10 slots per month for student visas. Therefore even if you have the necessary documents, you might not be able to get a student visa due to limited visa slots. I have noticed that applicants spend huge amounts of money in order to gain acceptance into Czech Universities, superlegalize their certificates, translate their documents from English to Czech, open dormicilliary accounts, pay for accommodation, and pay for school fees. The sad reality is that only few students will be able to get appointments at the Embassy. If you are not ready for emotional havoc please search for educational programs in other countries. You might have to spend more, but your Visa appointment will be guaranteed if you have the necessary documents.

2. Applicants feel that the student mode, is a safe alternative. But please note that there are only 19 slots available for Nigeria and fellow West African countries. Therefore the problems mentioned above equally apply here.

In summary, pursuing a Czech Student visa is a BIG GAMBLE. You might win or lose, but the chances of LOSING are greater, so CHOOSE WISELY.

Well said!

However, based on my research, there is no stress free country for student visa. The little research I conducted on the following countries showed the below findings.

1. UK. Easy visa appointment. Tuition, go and try. Cost of living, research and compare.
2. Germany. Visa appointment; you have to wait for a year or more than in some cases. Some persons might be lucky to get appointment within months of application including cat A or PhD student. Tuitions are mainly free, however applications are rigorous and competitive. You have to consider Uni-Assist, NC courses, language proficiency either German or English, GRE or GMAT for some degree courses, semester fees and block account.
3. Poland. They are close in comparison to Czechia. Czechia are more specific with their booking system compared to Poland.
4. Netherlands. Easy visa appointment process, however you are going to pay a huge amount. Both your tuition fees for the program and cost of living will be block before proceeding to the embassy. Embassy is not in Nigeria.
Finland, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Austria, etc. may or may not be lightly compared to Czechia. You can give them a shot to see yourself.

My advice is that applicants should start their application on time, possibly 6 months in advance, pray and believe that God will do it at his time.

My greetings to everyone here.
I have been trying to get the visa appointment booking for the past 3 months now and it hasn't been successful.
I keep receiving their automated email response:

Děkujeme za Váš zájem o termín k osobnímu podání žádosti o dlouhodobé vízum / povolení k pobytu. Vzhledem k naplnění kapacity zastupitelského úřadu Vám nyní není možné vyhovět. Pokud Váš zájem trvá, sledujte webové stránky zastupitelského úřadu, kde jsou pravidelně zveřejňovány aktuální informace o termínu další registrace.
S pozdravem
Velvyslanectví České Republiky v Abuji

Thank you for your ongoing interest for the personal appointment to apply for long-term visa / residence permit. Because of the limited capacity of the Consular Section of the Embassy it is not possible to satisfy your request. Follow our website for the next month's booking instructions.
Regards,
Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja.

Please I seriously need help on how to book appointment; I am to resume on September 12, 2022 but with the way things are going now, it is not going to be possible.

According to school, they promised to nominate me for student regime but up till now, I haven't heard from either them or the embassy.

I will appreciate your feedback guys on how I can go about this challenge of booking visa appointment.

I think it's not gonna be possible for you to meet the target. I will advise that you defer to next semester if your school has February intake or to next academic year if possible for you and your school. Next booking is 15th September against October. Looking at this situation, you are not going to meet up with your resumption date.

It's really frustrating! I will advise you not to give up your dream. Keep pushing, one day you gonna smile that you made it.

Hi, pls do I need to send the original docs to them in Czech republic to attach the translation to it physically and send back?

Or can they just use the scan to produce translation and send to me while I attach it myself to the original and take to the embassy?

What I mean, will embassy accept the one I attached myself?

Send the scanned copies to them via email. Pay the the translation and courier bill in advance. They will do the rest for you. The originals of these two documents is what you will legalize with the Nigerian authorities and then attach them to the translated copies then to Czeck embassy for the rest.

Visa denied
2nd attempt in Abuja
No funding (27000) deficit
Date July 6 2022
One slim white American woman was just dashing people blue paper. She was the only interviewing
Vo. Can you pass me your passport please
Me. I obliged
Vo: where do you work.
Me: I work as an accountant in bleep company where I handle payroll and tax return
Vo. Who will be paying for your deficit?
Me: my aunt, who is a director in so so company on a net annual salary of 28m will be sponsoring my my masters. She has always taken me as a son and has been involved in my education since my high school.
Vo: what will you be doing after your master?
Me: I will be taking a senior role in my current workplace as an accountant. And I'm also on two years' paid study leave.
Vo: what has changed since your last denial?
Me: I blanked out. But I said the last time I was not confident enough. But now I'm confident.
Vo. Sorry you are not qualify for the US visa bla blah blah. Help me to check where I didn't say the correct thing

Hello, sorry for your visa denial. To be frank, I don't think you are honest to yourself.
1. You worked as an accountant and you don't have savings to sponsor your studies.
2. Your aunt net annual salary 28m, o boy think about how it sounds to you and then compare it to how it sounds to the vo.
3. You worked as an accountant and after your studies, you gonna be working as the same accountant but in a senior role. Why don't you put it this way,"I work as a junior accounting officer in charge of the company's payroll and tax payment". I believe your company don't collect tax as you mentioned tax return. After studies, "This degree will enable take the position of Chief Accounting Officer in the same company". Just an idea, you can make it better.
Look back to previous transcript to see where you are falling and try to be sincere.
Best of luck.

Embassy: Abuja
Attempt: 1st
School: Auburn University, Alabama
Course: MBA/Msc Supply Chain Management dual degree
Funding: Tuition waiver
Status: Approved✅✅
Date: June 30th 2022
Interview duration : 2mins at most.

Firstly, All Glory belongs to God.
This is my second time going to the embassy in recent time. I had interviewed for a visit visa in October and was approved.

I got to the embassy around 7am but my Visa time was for 8am. I was one of the first people to be there so we had to wait by the road before the embassy began receiving visitors. As soon as it was 7am we were all ushered in. I was processed with those that had earlier slots. They never said my time hadn't reached yet.

After clearing security we moved in to the wait area. By this time it was about 8am. I didn't get called in for the interview to just about 9am.

Interview proper:

The beautiful lady was my interviewer. She had approved 2 peoples visa (F1 and B1/2) before before the guy ahead of me. She however denied the guy ahead of me. He stuttered alot and wasn't confident in his response. I felt sorry for him but I didn't let his denial get to me.

VO: good morning
Me: good morning
VO: Let us do your biometrics.
Me: OK. (Captured fingerprints)
VO: Have you been to the US before.
Me: yes, I have. I was there last December to visit friends.
VO: what do you do?
Me: I currently work with (an IOC) as a Supply Chain Advisor. I have been there for the last 10years and have..*VO cuts me*
VO: what will you be doing after this program?
Me: I'd be back to the company. The program is needed so I can progress from operations to managerial/leadership cadre. The covid 19 pandemic highlighted the importance of Supply chain management and as an intelligent organisation, my company has decided to expand the scope of our supply chain dept *VO cuts me*
VO: you said you've been working for 10years?
Me: yeah
VO: *stares surprised* how?
Me: *smiling* I know. I don't look it. I started working with them at 22 and I'm 32 now.
VO: did you do anything before then?
Me: yes, I worked a year with the defunct Virgin Nigeria.
VO: ok, take this slip. It should tell you how to retrieve your passport.

No single document was called for.
She only looked at my I20 that was tucked inside my passport.
Again, I thank God for the successful interview.

Tip: pls be confident. If you memorise answers, the questions might not be asked.

Congratulations

PLS HELP!!!

Hello
Pls i need an honest and urgent advise on a bothering issue.I applied for Uk tourist Visa is Dec 2020 through an agent who did everything that needed to be done, all i did was just go for submission…By January i picked up my passport and i was refused,i asked the agent why and he told me it’s because of the 2nd Covid lockdown,he didn’t forward the refusal letter to me because he didn’t use my email,he created a new one to that effect.
I got an offer in Uk and while i was filling a form,i am to answer a question on if i had been denied before which is YES,and i was asked to upload the refusal letter which i didn’t have.
I reached out to the agent and after about 4days of trying to retrieve the email addy he used,he dropped the letter yesterday and the reason for refusal is completely different from what i was told,it turned out to be something on ‘deception’ as stated in the refusal letter.
Right now i honestly don’t know if it’s ok to go ahead with my application which is for September intake,i just want to know what my chances are,and what can be done to fix this error.Has anyone had similar issue, how was it resolved?

@justwise… and the entire member of the house. Pls am posting for a friend.. can she go ahead with the school deposit or back out??

Some people are so wicked. This agent knows the aftermath of his actions and still he went ahead with it because the money he will gain. He went ahead to provide falsified documents that has lead his client into a ten year ban, that's wickedness.
My friend once told me why don't you use an agent for your application and I asked why, what do I need an agent for. Is it to apply to a school or what!
This is just a lesson to those who rely on those stupid and wicked agents for their application. Let me tell you, they just want your money, the above example tells it all.

I guess this must be you who is being advised here

1. Staying with your husband for five years, no, that's a mistake.
2. Leaving your job for five years, not that you're going for studies. That's a red flag.
3. You didn't move with him while he was going.
4. GTA is just for your husband's upkeep. Saying you using that too for yours is some kind of confusing.

I will advise you follow the advice above, if actually it was you that was quoted.

St Louis University, MSc
Full Funding, zero deficit

I arrived the embassy before 6:30 and waited till we were beckoned by the security for the business of the day. Started with security/documents check and thereafter CGI. At the CGI point the lady sent me back to retake my passport, touts use me shine.

Village people 1 - 0 Me

Got inside and started waiting turns to be interviewed, I noticed there were three windows today conducting interviews; 8 (balded male vo), 9 (female vo) and 10 (younger female vo).

There were alot of white paper issuance I saw today. Green paper too, but minimal.

There was no Korean in sight today so no need to dodge.

Village people 1 - 1 Me

It got to my turn and I went to young lady in window 10 for my interview. Greeted her and gave her my i20 and passport. She started their usual typing and then the following ensued:

Q1 How long have I worked in my current job

A. 1 year and 8 months

Q2 How long have I worked in my previous job

A. 2 years and 1 month

Q3 Do I have a study leave

A. Not yet. This is pending getting my visa approval

Q4 What is my post study plan

A. I intend to return to my current place of work, in a mid level management position. My organization is undergoing a transition phase and this is expected to last 3-5 years during which our operations will expand beyond the western region to a nationwide coverage. This will open up many positions and with my experience and degree, I will be positioned to fill one of these new positions.

Then the magic words came with the white paper.

Village people 1 - 2 Me
(Full time score)

No documents were asked asides passport and i-20. Maintained eye contact all through. Had zero tension, abi anxiety.

*Three weeks ago (yes, three weeks ago) I did not have my i-20, interview date or made any payment for my Visa. applied for EA in Lagos and they bounced me before I switched to Abuja and got a close regular date. I didn't even know my funding will be full till I saw my i-20. And I was expected to be in school before July 5 for start of my summer classes. My DSO was doubtful of my chances cos the timing was too close.

Fast forward to today, I'm checking flights to Midtown St Louis and warming breakfast to serve my employer. Everything happened so fast and I'm yet to process all of these. GOD IS REAL.

Thank you to everyone who responded to questions, contributed and supported others here. Y'all the real MVPs.

It really took a village to make this happen

Big congratulations to you dear. God is always wonderful and marvellous. May his name be glorified.
