Bruh not everyone living with their parents sits idle all day, I work really hard and I know people who also does, the idea is not rushing out when there's no one pursuing you.

Let's assume your place is few minutes to your workplace and you now intentionally leave home to where you'll now commute for hours to your workplace cause you want to feel independent and to feel uncomfortable.
It doesnt make sense moreover living comfortably isn't a bad thing as long as you're working and making the dough, don't let motivational speakers use comfort zone whine your head.

Moreover I believe it's the women that'll be more worried about this cos all they've always been concerned about their territory which they know might be affected if the husband is still living with his family.

You kept attracting leeches and parasites and it has affected your mindset so badly, used to have same thoughts until someone here gave a clue about not having stuffs to do with unemployed ladies, find someone who is employed and working, your mindset would definitely shift.
The point is not about spending on em but does it worth spending on her, what has she done that needs you to reward her, does she pays back your generosity by gifting you stuffs and also spending on you?

Your comment is the best so far on this thread. I know what my eyes saw before i made it because i was birth and brought up in lagos in an average family setting. I have experience what was like not to receive any support or assistance from anyone. I solely iron life out on my own.

You see the problem with foolish people like OP is that they usually use the same yardstick for everyone and they believe life is black and white. It's a normal protocol, good decision anyone can make leaving his/her parent's abode. This process used to be easy not until recently when things changed and price of commodities skyrocketed. For example, I am sure this Mumu Op will be in his Early 40s now and he is still comparing when things was so easy in nigeria then like 20 to 25years ago, When you would just travel down to Lagos especially with nothing and before you know it, things will start bubbling for you. I can go on and on but i will stop here. Currently i have 3 Married Couples in my inbox begging me for assistance but i have made my decision in that regard. Foolish people like OP will remain foolish forever irrespective of their social status. I hate stupid people.

PS:I am comfortable and living in a 3 bedroom flat, I will be moving to my New Site any moment from now. But i hate seeing idiots like OP using same yardstick and same condition for everyone.

Well said boss, I don't subscribe to it when people use their pov and situation around them to judge others, whereas people around them might not be so fortunate to meet their kind of helpers and live their lifestyle.

Living in one's parents as I've experienced have made me to understand well my skills and also adopting new ones that could make my future better. If not for that it would have been a rat race where I won't be chanced to review and set things straight for my self.

I pity those who'll take to heart these shitty advices, they could get derailed from their plans and life goals.

His advice would have been valuable if he had addressed them to not relent on their hustle and know when to quit when they start noticing living there seems uncomfortable.

If you dey rural area and you struggle with your life, this advice might be applicable, but if you live in lagos where the cost of things are high just stay your papa house and use money renovate am or spend on them your family.

But to be sincere, I'll like to stop procrastinating and drinking alcohol permanently except occasionally, about the later I've tried to reduced its intake to once in

On my way back to lagos from ijebu last week, the driver noticed I was worried cos it's a night trip, he assured me the roads are now safer, there was sigh of relief on my face when I got to Ojota, I hope our roads becomes more safer in the future and kudos to the security operatives
