SAMUELS3: richcasey, please create short cut for this too. I think it might be useful. Thanks. Cc: richcasey.
Mr Spambot, abeg no ban me oo
Let me contribute my little cent too,
So i realize some people are still using Weste rUnion to send money home, See, Western union rate is sh!t abeg, when you can send at way higher rate, Without the receiver going to any bank to receive whatsoever.
This is only for people sending money home oo,
1, Download coinbase application on your smart phone, Works on both android and ios.
2. Register, and you are going to now have a bitcoin wallet, Link your bank account or card details, It takes like an hour or so for the whole verification.
3. After the Verification is done, Click on buy bitcoin say you want to send 100$ home, you will be charge 4$ or so, processing fee, And you should now have 100$ worth of bitcoin in you wallet.
4. Now you should have 100$ btc(bitcoin),
go to this thread hxxttp://www.nairaland.com/3190496/currency-e-currency-market-deals
and post the amount of bitcoin you want to sell,
Like " 100$ available @ 530/$"
becareful on that thread, you can use also Escrow, you can also deal only with only trusted exchanger, like ladyf, Tabbaz, and some few, just use your due diligence.
Current price for selling btc between range of 510/$ to 540/$ check the current selling price to set your own
5. Transfer BTC to exchanger, and exchanger will fund the recipient Naija bank account ASAP.
so imagine you sell the 100$ btc at 530/$ Recipient will get #53,000 in his/her bank account without having to go the bank, you can save your aged parent the stress of bank queue and more money.
now compare to Western Union,
As at today, Western union rate is 375/$,so if are sending 100$ via western union, recipient will only receive #37,500.
Btc(#53,000) - Western union(#37,500) a whole #15,500 margin just for 100$.
This process should take you more than 20 mins, after you verify your bank/card with coin base
and if you don't want to sell your btc on nairaland,
you can sell to httpxxs://instantgold. ng there rate a bit lower though
And if you also don't want to use coinbase, if you want to buy bitcoin with cash
head to httxxps://localbitcoins.c om/ .register an account, you can meet someone selling bitcoin close by you, you pay cash, the person transfer btc to your bitcoin wallet, then you sell, money get transfered to your recipient,SIMPLE!!!
This is CONFIRMED o, not just a theory..
Goodluck and sorry for the long post. why will anyone buy your dollar at N530. The black market rate in Nigeria right now is N480. So what will be the gain of those buying at N50 extra? Can you clarify the business sense in this? |

Although I will add that, Tx A&M college station has more alumni in the oil and gas industry. Companies also recruit heavily at LSU. Oh! You have defended me already! You are a wise man. Austin gets more recruitment than college station. Both schools are top school with very competitive admission why LSU ha's high acceptance rate. Thanks my guy |

Health › Re: Nigerian Scientists Prove Efficacy Of Nano-medicine In HIV/AIDS Cure by Mayflowa(m): 12:56am On Dec 13, 2016*. Modified: 3:16am On Dec 13, 2016 |
vodutive: Weve had many people (including Nigerian Quacks) claim they've found a cure for Aids and I initially would have dismissed it as just another quack especially when I heard the name of the University but what caught my attention was "British journal of medicine". Wow!! I said to myself this must be credible! so i searched the internet. I came across the youtube video I posted earlier. He sounded a bit quackish but at the same time he seemed to make some sense. I was intrigued so I went to the site of the British Medical Journal and entered his name in the search field hoping I would see the article....No results!!! Hmmm
Alas "British journal of medicine" is not the same as the respected "British Medical journal"
I googled his name and came across this article on what seems like a gay forum. Now nobody has more vested interest in a cure for aids than a gay man living with aids. Apart from the body of scientists, nobody understands HIV more the people living with it, it's their life (or death) everyday they live in hope of a cure. So when a gay man who is probably living with HIV says this is crap.....I'm inclined to believe because he's probably been given so much false hope , he knows what is credible and what isn't.
This article sums up the whole thing
"Maduike Ezeibe has not cured AIDS
I mean, it feels ridiculous to me that I need to say this, but since this website is apparently full of bizarre AIDS-conspiracy theorists who think ‘the government’ will kill this man for publishing his quack science, I put together a few points to hopefully clear things up.
The claim that his treatment has cured AIDS is completely unfounded. In his June 2015 paper, Ezeibe writes:
Also, reduction of mean viral load of all the HIV/AIDS patients who participated in the clinical trial, from 18875.00 ± 17059.18 to 327.50 ± 226.84, is 98.26% reduction. Kaplan [27] reported that when treatments reduce loads of infectious agents by 95% or more, body immunity is able to eliminate what are left of the infections. What these results mean, is that the MSAMS cures HIV/AIDS, not just prolongation of lives of HIV-positive persons.
It’s embarrassing that I am using my fandom blog to tear this down, but that Kaplan paper cited is about parasitic worms. The fact that someone decided that a treatment threshold for parasitic worms could a) be applied to HIV and b) used to claim they found a cure should honestly discredit their entire body of work on the topic.
Anyone who has read a n y t h i n g about HIV in the past decade knows that that’s not how HIV fucking works. Every real antiretroviral treatment on the market today can achieve non-detectable levels of virus in a fraction of patients with good compliance, but whole reason HIV continues to be an issue today is that the virus hangs out inside your non-replicating dendritic cells or wherever and it fucking comes back when you stop treatment. To even think about claiming a cure for HIV, patients need to be off treatment and virus-free for YEARS. To date the only person to be really actually cured of HIV is the Berlin Patient, who was cured with a bone marrow transplant from a donor with HIV-resistant T-cells. Repeat after me: the only successful way to cure HIV is to kill off 100% of your immune cells and replace them with immune cells that HIV can’t infect. So how did Ezeibe get away with making truly laughable claims in a scientific journal?
The paper is published in a trash journal. Scientific journals are rated by, among other metrics, their Impact Factor. This describes how many times an article in that journal will be cited in the future, telling you essentially how much that paper contributed to other people’s works. Scientists want their work to have impact. Top journals like Nature, Science, New England Journal of Medicine, etc. have Impact Factors in the 30s. These journals publish the most exciting, high-impact results that scientists across disciplines are interested in and they correspondingly have the most rigorous scientific requirements for accepting articles. A journal with Impact Factor of 2 to 4 might be a nice niche journal with decent rigor (like JIAS for example) but won’t be read by anyone outside that particular field of study. What, you may ask, is the Impact Factor for World Journal of AIDS, the journal where Ezeibe’s article is published?
ZERO.
ResearchGate lists their IF as 0. Is that the default for journals with no data? Seems so. WJA apparently doesn’t have an official IF score, (because Thompson Reuters doesn’t deem them to be even significant enough to score among the 70 Infectious Disease journals and 139 Immunology journals they scored in 2013) but they generously calculate their own alternative score to be less than one.
I honestly can’t critique his paper in more detail than this because his methods section is almost nonexistent. It’s possible that his nanoparticle therapy for HIV has promise, but it’s impossible to tell from this paper. For what is ostensibly a Phase I clinical trial for his “miracle drug,” any journal with any reputation at all to uphold is sending this submission back with request for MAJOR revisions, or more likely rejecting it outright.
Bottom line: no one is reading or citing WJA except by accident. The news outlets reporting on this paper need to fire their science correspondents.
One last general thing: His method of nanoparticle is very promising. It was able to stop cancer at the University of Missouri, Columbia Truely, when Bernard Omalu discovered concussion in sport men, every known medical journal would not accept his findings, everyone called him African quack doctor until the film "concussion" beam light on his medical breakthrough. Now he owns the highest medal recognition of American medical practise. There is an element of politics in medical science and breakthrough. Don't join anyone to rip this apart. There is a silver linings in every cloud. |

Once you meet your research goal. You would be graduated. But why do PhD in Nigeria? most PhD programs in US and Canada are free. You don't even need masters in many school in US and UK to get admitted into PhD program. Just your bachelor. You should go research what GRE and TOEFL exams are. |
