That's theory yet to be proven by any body. Have tested this on a Honda Accord 2008 no down stream cat. Car became much louder and fuel consumption was higher than expected after cat was fixed mpg became normal and owner was happy. Go back and have Ur cat fixed

a Nissan? No synchronisation between camshaft and crankshaft. Timing is off already. Apart from clicking noise ignored what other sound did you hear any? Is this a DOHC?

What solution have you proferred rather than follow " them say them say". All I say is a professional scan tool can be used to monitor transmission shift performance. Simple as A,B,C . Nothing too much

Chief, first you said check cable, then you said filter, and now bidirectional scanner. On top one issue? What do you reckon they should monitor with the scanner biko?

OP has confirmed what I suspected and IMO, he does not need further diagnosis. If you want me to go deeper into calibration for info, and not argument, I would be happy to do that.

Nothing is impossible. Have treated a case like that on a Honda Accord and it turned out to be the selector so his can't be an exception. That's a good question the shift status, performance and clutch lock up status and many more can be monitored using the scan tool. Whenever I install a toks gearbox That I use very well and it's been the best way without been biased. The "op" might just not have any problem with this.

Then nothing is wrong with your gear. It is just calibration that kicks in once you apply brakes at lower speeds, as it tries to improve fuel efficiency. It just waits for your throttle input to know which range to select. If you go heavy on throttle, it makes decision more quickly.

What calibration are we talking about here. Definitely not on this ride. @ op get a bidirectional scan tool visit a competent workshop and let them monitor your transmission performance using actual values. Through this you would be able to tell if your transmission shifts properly. If you don't know how and you get a professional scan tool. I can put you through

A simple scan would point you in the right direction. As for the person up there preaching about how to ignore the " check" sign . Your transmission alone is about 380k-400k. When yours comes up continue to ignore it . When you re given a bill don't fret. @ op scan your car post code here are you shall be guided accordingly on how to have it fixed.

NB: not every one knows how to use a scan tool.

Now you talking. The only way out is to have it installed back to what originally came with your ride.

No check engine light illuminated, engine seems to be extremely hot in most cases. Does the ride stall? Your case seems to me like a blocked exhaust system. A physical diagnosis would help

I have a problem with my Tayota seina 99modell.When i idle it 4 about 2mins,it cease power and began to move slowly,having difficulty to climb a hill,but when i remove the battery head terminal and put it back again, it regains power again. Then after sometime, it return back to slow movement. I have change 5 fuel pumps, lead wire,coil,fuel filter,plugs,clean the nozzle, clean injector mouth, change air filter.What might be the cause of this problem now?

You would need to run a scan on your pcm to pull out fault errors on it. You can call 08165520837 to have it fixed
