Hey guys! My Honda Accord Baby boy makes a small crank sound when I move the gear from park to reverse. It doesn't make the sound when I move from park to drive or neutral and vice versa. It only makes the sound when I move from park to reverse. The driving is smooth, no issue regarding transmission yet, just the silent sound.

What could be the cause? My mechanic can't tell what the problem is and I don't want him to mess with my transmission.

Ps: Least I forget, we did some body works that involved turning the car by the side two weeks ago.

Does it make same sound when you reverse only. What about going from drive to reverse

mayor 2013, i saw E10 fuel rating on the gas cap which we don't have in Nigeria presently, so does the owner of the vehicle use octane boosters when refuelling?

I doubt if the owner knows about that but I would for sure find out

Brand new speed reference sensor ready to be installed

All 6 spark plugs worned out badly. We shall be using Bosch super IV platinum spark plugs as a replacement

There is a small white funnel under the Jack wrench that us used when fueling from cans

Ford Taurus 2011. 3.5L (AWD). Engine was running rough. Pulled out fault errors from the pcm and we got igntion coil circuit malfunction. I can't really say much about this car. Am yet to have driven it but would for sure drive it when work is completed. Interior makes sense. Owner said he built the car to his taste directly from ford

Speed reference Sensor inspected and found to have a crack on it hence one of the reason for the fault error pulled from the DME. A brand new speed reference sensor bought and would be installed

My car is a 2004 Highlander that the Gearbox works fine until it gets to about 80km/hr after which the change in gear stops and begins to drag. I have changed the filter and it is still the same thing.
Any ideas on how I can handle this issue? There is already a suggestion that I change the Automatic Gearbox Valve Body.

Brand new valve cover seal purchased already and ready to install. Also fitting of the new seal into the valve cover

Pulling out of old valve cover seal. Old one severely worned out and was difficult taking out. As a result of age and heat as a factor the seal had turned into a plastic

Thank you all, car us finally OK, issue was just around the fuse box. An electrician fixed it for less than #10k.

My honda pilot refuses to shift from parking occasionally mostly after been parked for hours and i have to depress the brakes multiple times for it to finally disengage and shift normally.

Please what could be responsible for this? Dont want to get stuck some day when it 'might just totally refuse to move

well u see, there was this one time after work, we were set to go home and then we decided to hang out a Lil before retiring. so we got into out vehicles, some non mobile staff had issues choosing vehicles from the fleet of cars available so most of them chose me cos I was certain I'll get there first...... I'm always first.

OK see now, I drove a 03 Camry and my colleague was also my neighbour; a bmw, can't still remember the model but it had a v8 engine installed. we took off and I was feeling fly, heavily footing the gas pedal and what I saw was ..... phew..... I mean I saw the sound of the BMW passing me like a stationary pole. it felt so bad, I had disappointed everyone in the car..... I've been looking for someone to report this car to, until I came across this thread.

I have this rattling sound coming out of the hood of my car. Its been on for like 2 months now. Each time
I accelerate, even as small as 2000 rpm, the rattling sound will just begin.
No check Engine light.
The last time it came up, a knock sensor was faulty and was replaced but since then no CEL but rattling stil continues. I drive a corrolla 2000.
I took the car to 3 different Mechanics (road side), they all said "no problem, na so toyota dey sound" infact one of them said "oga change ur Gasket" the other one said "use fuel cleaner". the last one said " oga buy another PMS from another gas station" .....I tried all these but didnt work.
I neglected the change gasket idea though.
Rattling continues especially on acceleration when going up hills.
Pls car gurus in the house, come n help my solution
