I have a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder and it's difficult to keep the car running for more than 20mins. Each time I start the car, it seems to idle well and also moves well but the ignition goes off barely 15 -20mins later. I have a portable scanner that indicated the crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfunctioned (P0335) and Swirl control solenoid valve (P1130). I tried changing the CPS sensor and the truck drove ok for like 2 days after which it went back to the same problem of running for just few mins before going off. The code is also back. Each time the ignition goes off, the truck will refuse to start up again except I wait for minutes for it to cool down. I've asked someone check the fuel pump and I was told the pump is very ok as it is also returning well. What could be the problem?

If you are sure your fuel pump is ok. Leave that. Change your ckp and camshaft position sensors (bank 1 and bank 2) , pathfinders are known with this problem. Was has worked for me while on the field is changing the ckp and cmp. Hope this helps. Am sure your swirl control valve was connected wrongly, that solenoid hardly spoils but inorder to be sure test with a battery and listen to the clicking sound. What is the mileage on your car?

You need another engine. Don't under estimate this advice if you don't want to drain your pocket

Run a scan on your car. Better still buy a car scanner if there is no work shop center to run a scan. If you need a car scanner call 08156087872 or 08165520837

Your car has been successfully kazeemised. Best bet is to get another engine. Better still run a scan first on your car

Do you have an aftermarket remote installed on your car? It seems more like your body control module is going Gaga. Take off your battery terminal for 5mins and refit back while the key is out of the ignition

so he might be a new driver to this car hence he doesnt know to push so he would release

if he not a new driver then something has gone wrong

If the "op" has truly got a honda accord then the ignition system and key were not designed in such way. Although seen in other brand of cars

I ve done everything But still no progress. a friend that is using d same model of d honda told me that's how EOD use to do.That d car will decide when to enter lock or not.That's my friend theory about d issue.laughs. Waiting for one electrician to come and check it out so that I will know what he will also say. But pls Mr mayor, How much is d ignition switch just in case if the electrician want to inflate d price. thanks

key starter i guess you mean the ignition switch, i assume your car is automatic some automatic the car has to be in park for you to be able to take the key from ignition barrel

am confused when you say REACHING THE LOCK BUTTON this is a ignition switch i have never seen an ignition switch that has a lock button

there is nothing like alignment of teeth of the ingnition barrel, but only the key is the one which gets worn out that it wont be able to press the teeth side the barrel therefore you wont be able to start your car or it fails to go through 3 stages of a average ignition switch

Most imported engines are sourced from cars which are destroyed by accident. An engine may be affected by that accident but may not exhibit such effects immediately but it will later on.

I imagine the conrod failed at its usual point of failure, the cap bolts or nuts which may have taken a lot of stress during the accident that they have been on the verge of failure.

Far fetched from it. Recently a client of mine had this con rod issue with her toyota rav4 2005. Oil sipping out all through engine block. This is a car that had been used for atleast 2years. Something triggered this to happen. We later found out that on a day when she tried to get help when the car broke down, the radiator cap wasn't closed properly and the car over heated badly. So ask your friend what actually went wrong. I respect your point but I still think it doesn't coincide with what happened to your friend's engine

The key starter only stops at start button instead of reaching lock button when switching d car off thereby causing the car battery to drain faster because things like radio and other things will still be active. What year is your honda accord? The ignition cylinder arrangment of its teeths might be out of alignment. Best bet is to have an auto electrician change it

Hey guys, this is to annouce the sudden and unexpected demise of my friend's engine. He was traveling and heard a bang from the engine bay then stopped. He immediately saw all engine oil flowing out. On spot investigation showed broken or pierced oil sump. Further investigation after the car was towed to shop showed significant puncture to engine block.

Apparently, a conrod did the job.

Please guru in the house I also have this same hard starting issue. I have changed the two camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor but it still exhibiting the hard starting behaviour, longer cranking time etc.

I have scanned the car the only relevant code it gave is P0021: Intake Valve timing control Performance Bank 2. The other codes are heated oxygen sensor related codes.

The car is d same Nissan Maxima 2004 as the OP.

Please your help will be highly appreciated.

Change your intake valve timing control if all wiring to it is fine.

Does the car crank at all

How long do you drive before this happens

Check your battery terminals first, ensure they are making proper contact with the battery. If all is fine. Check battery voltage (12.6v) if voltage is fine. Check your charging system (alternator).
