Countdown as Nigeria's lifecycle approaches its terminal end. |
May God save this girl.

Redoil:Ok. I have no qualms disproving Ibo falsehood. Mythbuster coming in few days- The first Nigerian Army Officer with a post secondary qualification. |
Redoil:False! Would you like a mythbuster with that? |
ifihearam:First of all, that's an Emperor, not a King! In Yoruba, Oba is King. He is Alaafin! Thanks for not insulting my Emperor. I love that guy...he is down to earth and a great image maker and leader. In his rule Yoruba culture was revolutionized around the globe. An Emperor does not just go to war and win victories....he must also embrace change, diversity and promote universal consciousness. Alaafin has done great for Yoruba. He truly made me proud when he visited England with his wives and they all gave a colorful parade to Britons, white and black, who stopped to admire and take selfie shots with them. Alaafin, Igba ekeji Orisa, Iku Baba yeye, K' Ade pe lori, ki Bata pe lese! Mo ki o! mo ki o!! mo ki o!!! Mo Yo fun e, mo Yo fun ra mi! |
LRNZH:right! She is propped up by friendly foreign journalists using false analytics to shape opinion and hide the decays. I foresee her doing the same thing all corrupt politicians do...following public alarm by incoming govt that the public treasury is in negative...."oh we left $80billion in reserves" There is no need reserving a spot for them in Kirikiri...just tell them to go on self exile, period! Enough pain....lets mop up our losses and tears and rebirth this Nation under the steady hands of Baba. |
Gynacologist:yeye persin, face ya front. |
As long I remain the Mayor of Lagos....mtcheew, PDP will never smell power in this state! Na me talk am! ![]() |
CoCoLav:i will smash that bottle on his head! ![]() |
Uncletony:Tinubu is not contesting for elective position. Focus on the agenda. |
ndcide:Apparently you have not heard what Eleko said. Eleko told Obanikoro he will frustrate his ambition to govern Lagos. Obanikoro thought it was joke. He resigned his job to contest. Eleko told GEJ he does not want to see Koro. Before you can say 'hey'.....Agbaje has won primary, and Koro is now settling for a minister position that will only last 4months. Eleko does not hide his political choice....he already said he doesnt know who wins Abuja, but he knows who wwill be sworn in as Lagos Governor, and it's not going to be Agbaje. |
barcanista:Look, NOI enjoys the fraternal shield provided on privilege of her education at both MIT and Harvard. They will not let her be ridiculed as a failure because it reflects negatively on their reputation as top universities in the world. She may be hell of a smartie on the principles and theories on economy but when it comes to substance there is gap in her ability to comandeer the ship. They know it but again....she is one of their own and the honors must be preserved. |
laykorn:...but they defeated their own credits by subsidizing competition. Private university operators get waivers and incentives and privileges that are non existent for the federal unis. |
laykorn:shyyte...thats what subsidy is for! Where is agricultural subsidies? |
laykorn:In my view, any politician that dwells on oil, whether infrastructurally or budgetary, does not mean well for us. These politicians need to be told to bring a budget plan forecasted on non-oil sector with them for discussion.. |
adioolayi:let me show you.... Nigeria has a higher ratio per 1million population of university graduates than any sub saharan country. Our citizens in the diaspora are ranked in top 7 high yield achievers in the workforce. If we can produce that much output in diaspora, a foreign territory, imagine what we can do in our native territory if we had power generation and security. Jonathan is a professor, Sambo is an architect. For the first time in the history of our post independence self rule we have scholars in our first and second top ruling offices......and yet look at us. It brings tears to my eyes to see my people live like this. We are a proud people, God has made our ways easy but we are not blessed with good leadership. How many mothers in maternity wards and in labour have died in the past 1 year alone because the power needed to give them oxygen is not there.....and lost their babies in the trauma as well? C'mon....enough!
|
Arysexy:They asked him about his plans....not about his achievements. He ran out of time reeling his achievements and robbed us of opportunity to gain awareness of what he plans to do. |
Tell Agbaje his company is a tax dodger! Lagos is progressing because the government is using the tax revenue to expand amenities and improve society. Agbaje has promised to remove bridge toll, to give free this and free that and reduce this and reduce that......if he becomes governor this tax dodger will return Lagos to the days of dependency on oil allocation. He will excuse tax dodgers like himself and turn to oil money to cover the budget deficits. Lagos State and its indigenes believes strongly in the rights of natives to their land. We want and advocate for Deltans and oil producing states to keep a much higher percentage of the resource derivation to develop their own region and people. This belief was integrated into policy beginning in the administration of Governor Tinubu and continued with Governor Fashola. For over a decade Lagos State has diversified its income stream and the budget is independent of allocations from Abuja. The result of this ingenous idea is evident in the place and status of Lagos today compared to 15yrs ago when its income was sourced from Federal government. Agbaje, by killing off these streams of revenue will reverse progress. He will divert and stray away from the support and activism of our leaders to give to oil producing people what belongs to them. Kick the tax dodger to the curb!

This election is not about experience but qualification. ‘Jimi Agbaje no get experience for political office, but e qualify,’ the candidate added in pidgin.Interpretation: Agbaje will be a tool for much experienced PDP political godfathers to push around while he is learning on the job. He assured non-indigenes that discrimination against them, their interests and their businesses would dissipate as soon as he came to power.Lagos State has never discriminated against non-indigenes. If Lagos State has deported Ibos, it has equally deported Yorubas and Hausas. Sanitation exercise in Lagos is a legacy....way back in the times of Lagos City Council and its no-nonsense health inspectors (wole-wole). The tradition ceased after the reformation of the municipality and relocation of State capital. 1984, under Buhari regime and the new WAI mandates, Lagos State picked backup on community sanitation exercise. In his remark above Agbaje tacitly made reference to Ladipo auto parts market. The traders at Ladipo were flagrant violators of laws to which every community in Lagos is expected to abide by. They were warned severally and the consequence of continued violations were laid before them. Their contention was as Nigerians they were free to live anywhere and operate their business in the manner they deemed fit with no unecessary supervision from anyone. This is why they were shut down. Agbaje is inferring at this rally staged for Ibos that it was wrong for the State Government to regulate sanitation or trade or community welfare and well being. This is the wrong guy to have as Governor in Lagos. This guy should go and seek gubernatorial office in Iboland where they want to trade free of regulation and supervision. In Lagos, we have laws and customs....no one is exempted and in contrary to Agbaje's sermon, Lagos State does not discriminate in its social policies....it treats everyone fairly and is not shy od telling people to their face to get the hell out and return to their village if they are unwilling to live by its rule. Kick Agbaje to the side. Help me vote Ambode for GOVERNOR OF LAGOS. If they ask who said so, tell them Mayor did! |
Instead of spending money to make roads passable and communities habitable, they waste it amassing jets. See PDP being consumed in its own poo. ![]() Awon alakori! Does this not look like the Akanu Ibiam International Seaport? PDP has ruined us all, whether na SE o, SS o, NW, NC, SW....papa julo NE! Baba lo ma pa PDP!
|
Stanleyafam:ooohhh, speaking of electricity, look at this.....
|
These women became lawmakers in 1961. How do youplace them as first.....when another woman had won election into parliament in 1960? Check out Mrs Wuraola Esan. Do you guys do your homework before posting lies and falsehoods in Nairaland? |
ignatusamson:we dont want any more free stuffs, thats why we are in trouble now. We want to earn money and pay for what we get in products and services so consumer market and earning power can improve and society can grow, circulation, redistribution, gainful employment ...better GDP, better living conditions! C'mon, we have to do it! free stuffs should be the exception not the rule....social programmes should be a reservation and not a default of a viable and healthy society. Say NO to FREE!! |
Who won this debate? I vote Florence! |
bameyi:my brother, do you know that there are super smart kids with advanced cognitive and intelligence abilities but yet they find it hard to pass tests and exams? There are very smart Nigerian kids wasted to failure simply because they could not scale through entrance exams to enter Universities. In a country that glorifies academic credentials, their smartness is wasted and their ingenuity is never discovered. Buhari's certificate saga is a good example. I see Mary in a similar fate. Her inarticulation is perceived as lack of intelligence and skills. |
AbuuUsaamah:Thats a powerful statement. If the mother is troubled, her children are equally restless. |
Laykorn, 21 gun salute to you for covering this debate session for us. Great job!! |
