The crisis rocking the Ohaneze Ndigbo may have assumed a dangerous dimension as explosion has rocked its National Headquarters located at No. 7 Parks Avenue G.R.A Enugu, destroying some parts of the building.

This came few hours after the caretaker committee chairman of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Ralph Obioha, constituted a panel to probe the Chief Enwo Igariwey led-exco.

The explosion, which led to a fire, affected some parts of the main hall of the Ohanaeze Secretariat where major meetings of the apex Igbo body are held.

Remember Wole Soyinka's play? ....OUR HUSBAND HAS GONE MAAADD!

Today our Presidency has gone MAAADD! They released a documentary filled with fabulous tales aimed at demonizing the humble father, Muhammadu Buhari.
So I want to help their cause.

Im appealing to you all to ask the rats and the lizards and the dogs, snakes and all other neighborhood reptiles and animals if any has a grievance against the People's General....this is time to speak up! Okupe has offered #1million windfall to anyone with good and spicy story to condemn the General.....

So here,...a goat has filed grievance claiming that he was yanked by his long beard into a detention cell during Buhari regime. He was accused of attempting to steal ordinary mazda......he said he was treated as if he had stole a mercedes benz! grin

read his story....

AIT/GEJ Lied To Nigerians

1. Fela NEVER mentioned Buhari in $N2.8B scandal. He mentioned OBJ. AIT edited that part off.

2. Buhari did not expel Ghanians from Nigeria. Shagari of the NPN did. AIT made a FALSE assertion.
http://www.nytimes.com/1983/02/02/world/by-land-and-sea-they-stream-from-nigeria.html

3. Gloria Okon did not disappear under Buhari it was under IBB and Dele Giwa was murdered for it.

4. GEJ went so low to bring Buhari’s daughters into politics. Can one use Dame’s inability to bear a child as a campaign issue?

5. Fela’s mother the GREAT Funmilayo Kuti died after OBJ Kalakuta in 1978 Buhari came into power in 1984.

6. All Politicians that was sentenced to prison by the 1984 Military Tribunal were found to either enrich themselves with public funds or diverted public funds. Non were convicted by fiat

7. GEJ and AIT went after Buhari ’s late wife and daughter. How low and desperate can Jonathan get?

8. AIT/GEJ alleged that Buhari has been losing since 1999. This is a lie. Buhari's first shot was in 2003. In 1999 Chief Olu Falae of ANPP/AD contested against Obj.

9. AIT/GEJ criticised Buhari for Heading PTF Board. Whereas, PTF is till date the most successful parastatal ever in Nigeria. Through PTF, the Amazon Dora Akunyili was known.

Vote for GMB/APC for Change in Nigeria. PDP propaganda is distasteful and obscene. Should be condemned by all.

The AIT documentary on Buhari will not make him less popular. President Jonathan is still playing catch up...

The reason we kill armed robbers is because they destroy lives.

Narcotics destroy lives and homes too. Those who peddle destruction of others lives, if caught, must have their lives destroyed in fairness.

The threads being opened (so many since yesterday) on the killing by the Buhari regime of Bernard Ogedengbe, and two others (Lawal Ojuolape and Bartholomew Owoh) need to have a response, and no one person is more appropriate than General Buhari.
I have luckily found out an interview granted the Sun Newspapers some years back where Buhari addressed the issue.
The motives of the threads seem obviously questionable. But on a personal I and many others will be home with the General's argument, especially where it started that those who destroyed others shouldn't be allowed to enjoy the loot arising therefrom.
Here's the excerpt:
|
Before I come to that, there was also this issue of Decree 4, alleged drug peddlers who your regime ordered shot. Looking back now, do you think you made mistake in those areas?
You see, maybe my rigidity could be traced to our insistence on the laws we made. But we decided that the laws must be obeyed.

But they said it was retroactive.
Yes, they said so. But I think it should be in the archive; we said that whoever brought in drugs and made Nigeria a transit point committed an offence.
These drugs, We We (Indian hemp), is planted here, but the hard drug, cocaine, most Nigerians don’t know what cocaine is. They just made Nigeria a transit point and these people did it just to make money. You can have a certain people who grow Ashisha or We We and so on because it is indigenous. Maybe some people are even alleging that those who want to come for operation, brought the seed and started to grow it in Nigeria. But cocaine, it is alien to our people. So, those who used Nigeria as a transit, they just did it to make money. And this drug is so potent that it destroys people, especially intelligent people. So, the Supreme Military Council did a memo. Of course, I took the memo to the Supreme Military Council and made recommendation and the Supreme Military Council agreed.

There was no dissenting voice?
There was no dissenting in the sense that majority agreed[ that this thing, this cocaine, this hard drug was earning Nigeria so much bad name in the international community because Nigeria was not producing it, but Nigerians that wanted to make money didn’t mind destroying Nigerians and other youths in other countries just to make money. So, we didn’t need them. We didn’t need them.

But there were pleas by eminent Nigerians not to kill the three men involved in the trafficking?
Pleas, pleas; those that they destroyed did they listen to their pleas for them not to make hard drug available to destroy their children and their communities?

So, it is not something you look back now at 70 and say it was an error?
No, it was not an error. It was deliberate. I didn’t do it as an head of state by fiat. We followed our proper system and took it. If I was sure that the Supreme Military Council then, the majority of them decided that we shouldn’t have done so, we could have reduced it to long sentencing. But people who did that, they wanted money to build fantastic houses, maybe to have houses in Europe and invest. Now, when they found out that if they do it, they will get shot, then they will not live to enjoy at the expense of a lot of people that became mental and became harmful and detrimental to the society and so on, then they will think twice.

Of sanitary ideas there is none, nor is there any sense of
modesty as the European understands the term. As
regards sanitation, however, it must be remembered that the sun is a powerful purifying agent, otherwise the conditions would, in many places, be unendurable.

By Odogwu Emeka Odogwu
Awka — The traditional ruler of Nawfia, Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, has said Nigerians should compensate the Igbo people with the nation's presidency in 2019 to ensure their full integration into the nation.

He flayed the principle of rotational presidency, adding that the Igbo people should be allowed to produce the president after the expiration of the tenure of whoever wins the 2015 presidential election.

He said the Igbo are the greatest developers of Nigeria with their investments scattered all over the federation.

Igwe Nwankwo, who spoke to the press in Nawfia on some national issues, said to demonstrate that the Igbo have bettn welcomed into the Nigerian nation after the end of its civil in 1970, they should be fully integrated as equal citizens of Nigeria by ceding the presidency to them.

Igwe Nwankwo stressed that for a group which wanted to secede from the Nigeria nation due to injustice against them and were forcibly brought back through the barrel of the gun, other Nigerians should welcome them back with love like a woman whose husband welcomed back to his house with merriment to demonstrate their integration into the Nigerian nation.

He recounted with sadness the alleged marginalisation of the Igbo, who he said have contributed immensely to the nation's growth and development.

The royal father commended Governor Willie Obiano for declaring January 12 a work free-day in Anambra State to remember the Igbo, who lost the lives in the nation's civil war.

He also paid tribute to the governor for ensuring hitch-free Yuletide celebration through the sound security network he put in place.

On the general elections, Igwe Nwankwo asked the electorate to vote for persons they believe will move the nation to the next level.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday cautioned politicians against electoral violence and urged electorates not to be lured into committing electoral malpractices before, during and after the poll.
Mr. Obasanjo said this when an association of Igbo Communities of Lagos and Ogun States led by Ohaneze Ndigbo Ogun State, Ogbueti Nkeze, paid him a courtesy visit at his Presidential Hilltop private residence in Abeokuta.

He also urged voters to be armed with their Permanent Voter Cards, saying one cannot get good governance without participating.
“If we say we want good governance, it is something that we are going to use to get that good governance, and that is our votes”, Mr. Obasanjo stated.
“Therefore, I beg you to go and get your PVC. It is your passport to good governance. If you cannot vote, you cannot get good governance, you cannot have a say in those in government. My own is in my wallet and it is only if you want to steal my money that you can get to see my PVC,” he said.

The former President also wondered why candidates should resort to violence after election.
“I cannot understand why we must engage in violence. Don’t let anybody lure you or use you for electoral violence. Elections should be free, fair and transparent. If you don’t win, take it in good stride, believing that next time you will win. But if you go into violence, you may not even be alive to contest for another election, which you are now going to win. So, my people tell our people not to engage in electoral violence”.

Earlier in his speech, President of the Association, Mr. Nkeze said the visit was meant to identify with the former President and seek his guidance in the next political dispensation.

The traditional head of the Igbo, Willy Ejimkonye, prayed for the Obasanjo family before conferring the title of Enyi Nndigbo which literarily means Friend of the Igbos in Ogun State.
The entourage included the Political Cordinator, Vitalis Onwuelezi, Youth President, Chukwuji Monday, Ifo local government leader of the association I.F Okunamiri, Ezendigbo Alimosho local government, Lagos, Lawrence Nnamdi and the Ezewanyi (Queen) 1 Ndigbo, Ogun State,Tessy Nwaobo.
