PoliticsRe: Biafra: Why Lagos, Abuja Are Part Of Igbo Land – MASSOB by MayorofLagos(m): 6:24am On Nov 12, 2017
laudate:
Chisos!! shocked What is this man saying? huh FESTAC Town or Festival Town was developed by the Federal Govt shortly before the Festival of Arts and Culture held in 1977. It was originally conceived as a residential estate designed to house the participants of the Second World Festival of Black Arts and Culture of 1977 (Festac77). Which Igbo man developed it?? shocked

As for the International Trade Fair Complex after Alaba on Lagos-Badagry Expressway, it was also Federal Govt property which was concessioned to a private company in 2007, because it was under-utilised. Aulic Nigeria Limited, got the trade fair complex concession in 2007. undecided The concession was supposed to last for just 30 years. The company was expected to pay 40 billion for the concession, but only paid 200 million naira. Yet, it went ahead to construct shopping malls for Igbo traders, after collecting millions of naira from them. sad

The govt had to revoke the lease and concession agreement, because the company defaulted in making the total payment of 40 billion naira to cover the lease period. Why don't these people check the facts before going round to make wild allegations? The traders should collect their money from Aulic and stop blaming others, for their misfortunes or laying claim to what does not belong to them!! shocked
You say they should collect money from Aulic, they operated shops there for 7years.

First, we want see their tax filing for the past seven years. Any shop owner that has mouth to protest his eviction should step forward with seven years tax documents before his complaint can be entertained.

Every time a drug baron or an armed robber is caught the first they tell is they own business at Trade Fair and business was not moving and devil push them into crime. Trade Fair na den of criminals now.

Shiit!

It's the same village airstrip these ipobs are crying over.
That elephant project Stealer Oduah wasted our IGR+VAT+Custom duty revenue on.

In fact, she was elected into Senate as a gratitude for renovating and then designating this thing as an International Airport. Few months later the airport was so flooded it looked like a ship harbour. grin grin

deomelo, you are correct, the field need to be redesignated a airstrip, or better yet a landing field. grin

PoliticsRe: States Fiscal Sustainable Index 2017 Osun, Ekiti Oyo at bottom by MayorofLagos(m): 7:59pm On Nov 04, 2017
OP,
The sustainable index ranking and performance you are looking at is interpreted to say that, everything else being the same if the free money from the center stops which state, in order of most capable at the top and least capable on bottom, can stretch the farthest and sustain its commitments to the public ((population density and urban management, infrastructural projects, capital expenditure, debt servicing, tax collection and so on).

SW states have the least variables in social supports. SE have the most variables and displacements ahead of all other regions.

Here is a true example and reality on ground
If 200,000 persons displace from SE and relocate to Osun, then SE resources will stretch farther and that of Osun will shrink.

Migration out of SE is one way. The burden of the extra 200,000 non-taxed headcounts is a social liability to the budget of Oyo, Ekiti and Osun....on other hand, it creates a surplus on the budget for SE.

So Oyo, Ekiti and Osun are at bottom because Ibo refugees are a liability and burden on our meagre budget.

Naptu,
The first symbol of Lagos under colony depicts elephant, two palm trees and hilly landscape.

What were the white people thinking? Were they blind? No where on that symbol showed water, instead hills...is that how Lagos was on their arrival?

Bunch of looneys!
