PoliticsRe: Okorocha Flaunts New APC Membership Card (Photos) by Mbediogu(m): 7:23am On Feb 01, 2017
I want to speak the truth now. Okorocha has worked for Imo. Okorocha is a great and energetic politician but he CANNOT take the Igbos to A PC. The Igbos generally are intelligent and very busy people who understand politics (though not as much as Yoruba or Hausa) but cannot bring out time for it. What they seek is politics of identity, the type Hausa and Yorubas have been playing since. That is why APGA won the East and was about to consolidate when the jittery governors went to other parties out of fear and almost killed the party. The Igbo hate the Hausas and distrust the Yoruba.
IF ROCHAS STARTS AN IGBO PARTY TODAY, HE WILL SWEEP THE EAST AND IN A FEW YEARS IT WILL BECOME A NATIONAL PARTY. TINUBU DID IT. Rochas is hated by majority of Igbos (MBEDIOGU inclusive) and regarded as prodigal son because of his political waywardness not because of lack of political understanding or embezzlement. The Igbo are looking for an identity which others have found since after first republic, and remember our eastern minority brothers look up to us to provide leadership that will emancipate all politically or otherwise.

[quote author=DropShot post=53298809]The reason must be beyond stupidity, idiocy, depression and frustration for anyone to claim someone else has passed away without having any credible knowledge of his death. That surely must be a result of incurable insanity.

And it's surely beyond gullibility, foolery and myopia for anyone to believe such claim without any proof or credence. That one is pure ........

But how do you get rid of an inefficient Nepotic leader in a (pseudo) democracy and a critical period like this? Our democratic process is inefficient and crippled. The ppl are doing what the national assembly ought to do but they are busy feathering their nests and positioning for 2019 which really may not come. Don't blame the suffering masses pls.

I hope Nigerians would learn in 2019[c/quote]

Nothing will change in 2019. Less than 10 percent will register to vote. Fifty percent registered voters will be bought over by bribery, coerced into voting against their choice or harassed and chased out. In the end there will be rigging, litigation, bye elections, you name it. I see no hope at all. It is a crazy circle.

B*ST*RD!!!

Most of us who voted for GEJ are staying at home but will continue our objective criticisms online. And prolly be part of the online protest.

Most of the people that will protest are people who voted for PMB and the silent majority that typically don't vote. In a country of 180 million+ people only 28 million people voted and this man thinks a lot of people who didn't vote give a rat a$$ about GEJ or Buhari.

It's good he is still in his echo chamber. Feb. 6 will hit the Presidency like a sledgehammer.

They've made the first mistake. Underestimating the resolve of the Nigerians who realize they've been played by APC.

I'll repeat this again. Nigeria does not need an opposition party. APC is an opposition against itself.

-Lord
The greatest protests are those that grind within the people. Adesina is appearing more involved that the President, weeping more than the bereaved. He will never repent. Let him position the army to kill as many as they can that day. He will be tried and judged more unfavorably but side by side the man he is misleading. Nigerians for once are agreed on this. That is all.

NEHLIVE:
The presidency has reacted to the February 5th proposed Nationwide protest which singer, 2face Idibia and other celebrities have come out to support.

Speaking in an interview with Lagos Talk 91.3fm, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said those who are calling for the protest are people who supported the last government and are still pained that they lost the last election.

"This is a country of about 180 million people. It is impossible for 180 million people to think the same way. Yoruba has a saying that if you all sleep and put your head in the same direction, then you are all foolish because you would be breathing in one another's mouth and lungs. Dont forget the last election and how it went. Somebody scored 12.5 million votes, another scored about 15 million votes. There are some people who are still in that election mode. They have not gotten out of it and till today, they are still living and "rheumatisizing" about the past. What they don't know is that that past is gone and gone forever. Majority of those calling for the protest are still in election mode. Majority of them are people that have resolved not to see anything good in this administration simply because the man they wanted lost at the polls"he said

http://www.newseveryhour.com/2017/01/presidency-reacts-to-planned-nationwide.html
My people have a counter-saying that people who sleep and put their heads in different directions may be passing Flatus into each other's mouth. Now tell me Adesina, which do you prefer? We will lead the protests here in Abuja.

Nigerian man Comr. Onyekachi Divine has erected a statue of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan. According to him,he did the project to show love to GEJ for his exemplary display of democracy, leadership to the country and contributions to the development of his alma mater (University of Portharcourt).

In part he wrote...

'Recognition well-deserved.

and I chose to do it for the man after my heart"

This rare statue/image is for the love i have for him and commissioned to respect our former President in recognition of his exemplary display of democracy, leadership to the country and contributions to the development of his alma mater (University of Portharcourt).

The artwork like the man that inspired it, with the signature hat and smiling face all in place.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Customs Release Statement Over Guns Intercepted In Lagos by Mbediogu(m): 1:24pm On Jan 31, 2017
metroblogger:
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has explained how it intercepted and seized a massive weapons haul of 661 brand new pump-action rifles in Lagos state.

In a press statement delivered by the Comptroller-General of NCS Hameed Ali at a briefing in Lagos on Monday, January 30, the outfit said the guns were intercepted on Sunday, January 22.

The statement read: "On Sunday 22nd January 2017, the Roving Team of the NCS Federal Operations Unit while on information patrol intercepted a Mack truck with registration number BDG 265 XG conveying a 1x40ft Container with Number: PONU/825914/3along Mile 2 Apapa road.

"The truck was immediately taken to the premises of FOU Zone A,Ikeja where Physical examination revealed 49 boxes containing a total number of 661 pieces of pump action rifles concealed with steal doors and other merchandize goods."

The Customs clarified that the actions of the importer contravened the provisions of the Nigerian laws and it is even more so given the fragile level of security in the country at the moment.

It added: "These Rifles are under absolute prohibition; therefore its importation is illegal. Such deadly contravention of the law is even more unacceptable considering the fragile security situation in some parts of the country."

The Customs confirmed the arrest of three people in connection with the importation of the large arms. They suspects' names were given as: Oscan Okafor (Importer) age 51, Mahmud Hassan (Clearing Agent) age 56 and Sadique Mustapha (who accompanied the consignment to its destination) age 28.

Hameed Ali says more arrests could still be made as an investigation has been opened into the matter.

He said: "Investigation has already commenced and I have directed that the drag net should be wide enough to fish out all persons involved in the importation and clearing of the consignment. Already, the Officers involved in the clearance of this container are with the Comptroller FOU Zone ‘A’Ikeja."

That is what u imagine your imagination which must remain what it is. Who are the ones killing innocent people in Kaduna, South East, Southwest and South South? What is the difference between them and Bokoharam that has tied down four countries in sub Sahara for almost a decade now? Remember that the government has disowned them as non Nigerians and the Moslems except Elrufai have disowned them as non Moslems. What are they if not terrorists? The government has refused to stop them so a good leader has spoken to his people on their safety responsibility, period, and Suleman is not alone on that.
