HarkymTheOracle:
RIP to him...

Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced that he would buy monkeys for N100 each. The villagers seeing that there were so many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them.

The man bought thousands at N100 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts. He further announced that he would now buy at N200. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to N250 but the supply of monkeys became so little that it took much effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch one.

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at N500! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf.

In the absence of the man, his assistant told the villagers: ''Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that my OGA has bought from you, I will sell them to you at N350 and when my OGA returns from the city, you can sell it to him at N500''.

The villagers squeezed out all their HARD EARNED savings and bought all the monkeys. The most greedy ones among them even sold their lands to purchase many MONKEYS, hoping to make a huge profit without labor.

Then...

They never saw the man or his assistant. Only monkeys everywhere!

Welcome to #MMM.

CultureRe: Oba Of Benin Suspends Chief Priest by Mbediogu(m): 7:38am On Jan 18, 2017
If the priest failed to perform final rites then technically speaking Erediawa has not been buried. A new priest should be appointed to do that and the errant priest exiled to Calabar as usual.
FamilyRe: Man Batters His Wife Of 10 Years In Port-Harcourt. PICS by Mbediogu(m): 7:18am On Jan 18, 2017
The best way to solve family issues is to involve both families and the church. The worst way is to use social media and the courts. Husband and wife squabble is common especially during recession, so let the media not help to break homes.
CrimeRe: I Did Not Kill My Husband'' - Chuks Okebata's Wife Finally Speaks by Mbediogu(m): 2:07am On Jan 18, 2017
The gun he carried gave him false confidence and helped his miscalculation with kidnappers.
His home wasn't cool so he came to Nigeria to chill on wine and women but he got the 3rd member of the soldiers triad 'war'. He forgot what the mother whale told her kids - when you are near the top, don't blow or you get harpooned. The poor wife may be innocent but should be investigated. RIP officer.

Akwa Ibom State always making positive and happy news. Fruits of good leadership. Start small but don't keep it small forever. The ministries of Education and all others who do pencil work should do the needful. Others are folding and shouting recession but AKS is navigating thro the recession. Kudos.

Diamond bank is notorious for all kinds of fraud and I don't know why ppl still go there. the technique is simple- Slow down services and soon the hall fills up. Turn of the A/C so there is heat and frustration, then bring in a well dressed 'helper' who knows the other way out.

This problem with glamourizing evil. That little angel could have been a first class surgeon, engineer, pilot, astronaut - name it. Rather his earliest dream is to be a 419er and he is living it in his subconscious mind because that aspiration made him media popular. Now how and who can stop him? The only way is to take him to Yahoo boy's cell at any prison so he can see the full picture before his mind sets on that rubbish called Yahoo. I don talk my own finish.

if we follow God says there be no problem.
O you who believe, do not practice usury, charging doubled and redoubled (interest); but have fear of God: you may well attain your goal.Quran 3:130
religion take part alot in all our social life and hereafter those who are to pay tax are the one that have fanincial business and willing to contribute but the government should issue tax that wont ruin business. Anything we want to do we should do it according the way God says today a lot of people have turn their religion into financial business because of their ignorane to the word of God and the messenger S.A.W and mind u Qur'an verse are not nonsense it is for those who understand, the TRUE believer
In serious matters that involve the word of God, Christians prefer to hear from the SON than from a mere messenger who in the end may miscommunicate. Mohammed's miscommunication is likely responsible for 80 percent of the world's wars and problems.

Sheikh Sir, you must be in charge of Federal Government of Nigeria directly or indirectly. No doubt about that, but do super rich mosques in Saudi, Iran, and all such Islamic nations of the world pay tax? In Nigeria the mosques don't pay tax because government has always been theirs for keeps. Seriously speaking our country is floundering!

TOTAL RUBBISH LIST!!!
WHEN WILL IT GET INTO THIS OYIBO BRAINS THAT THE ERA OF SLAVERY IS GONE AND BURIED?
THEY JUST HAVE BIAS FOR NIGERIA! OUR YOUTHS GO TO FOREIGN SCHOOLS AND DUST THEIR PROFESSORS WITH HOME-GROWN INTELLIGENCE BY EMERGING OVERALL BEST, SOLVING ACADEMIC PROBLEMS UNSOLVED FOR AGES, GRADUATING IN POSTGRADUATE WITH FIRST CLASS AND DISTINCTIONS. STUDENTS TRAINED IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES.
YET THEM GET MOUTH TO TELL US OUR UNIVERSITIES ARE NOT AMONG THE BEST UNIS IN AFRICA AND IN THE 1000 UNIS ON EARTH!!!
TO HE.LL WITH THEIR RANKINGS.

Some years ago, I was a Consultant Engineer to a FG Project at the FCT and other states. Could you believe that the so called Foreign Engineers they brought from Germany, UK, India and China where learning the work from we the Nigerian Engineers?
Then I was even a young Engineer not even COREN-Certified at that time self. Yet those foreigners couldn't know jack more than us that were trained here.
Truth is that from our poor educational settings great men and women have emerged. It is perhaps from application and the way we Nigerians accept and surmount challenges rather than the high standards of our institutions. Give us half of the opportunities they have in South Africa and watch us beat Havard, Oxford and Connell.

komekn:
International politics of the West African sub region requires that we have a major involvement.

The option of sitting back and saying " Whaaaaten concern me " does not exist. When there is anarchy opportunists take advantage. That means Jammeh in his self seeking desire to remain in power can plunge that country into civil war.

This in turn will give room to a host of Islamic fundamentalists and terrorists to fill the power vacum. This in turn will give Boko and it's associated friends a staging post to attack us from.

I am disappointed by now we should have at least Battalion of heavily well armed soldiers in Gambia ensuring that the peace will be upheld. That will be a deterrent to the excesses of a despotic and delusional leader, Jammeh.

If the west had intervened when they could, into Syria ISIS would not have been birthed and Syria's Assad would not have had the opportunity to butcher his own people in there millions like he has done.

The whole region would not be so destabilised and turned into a free for all battlefield.

Nigerian lives will be lost in the war. Our finances will be involved. Economic recovery will be delayed. Diplomatic distractions will occur, and many more negatives including ones we cannot envisage at the moment.

What use is its importance to Nigeria
Cos soon they will send troops to zimbabwe because mugabe refused to leave seat.
If you remember, the troops about to travel to Gambia virtually went to slumber when our own version of sit tight tyrant in the person of Abacha refused to go until some Indian Eves came to our rescue. Worse of all, no African country batted an eyelid. They all slept.

U av a point
But i still think Nigeria shd be on the spear head of this

We have boko haram fulani herdsmen and NDA. To deal with
What shud be d primary concern here shud be 100% Nigerian benefit
Nigeria shud dont think of getting its citizens out of Gambia pending when d issue is resolved

I still dont see why we shud send soldiers when we have alpt of problems..
What is about to happen is that we want to stake the welfare and future of over 150 million people who need to be helped, in order to assuage the anger of less than 2 million people who only need to rise up and chase a drunken idiot out of town.

Aren't we spreading our forces and resource s too thin at a time such as this? BHT is still unresolved, Niger Delta is steam hot, Southern Kaduna is doing press up, Biafra is putting finishing touches, etc. On top of all these there are bills and bills and Bill to be paid from a economy struggling for oxygen.
Strategically speaking the move is 100 percent ok but realistically I would rather not go with it.
