is it not unethical to release such a sensitive info at this time of the investigation? |
zoomzu: Lets wait and see where this drama ends. If it is true that Farouk Lawan collected the bribe, I won't trust anybody on this planet earth again because I so much adire this man's astuteness. He (Farouk Lawan) should not disappoint me.you are trusting a politician? sure route to hypertension. |
Lawan might be daft but i seriously doubt he is this daft. |
doyin13: The thing is no one has actually brought any statistics to contradict any of Rufai's.this is the crux of the matter. Nasir, did not cook up the stats he used. argue with facts against his.not just wiping up sentiments. The size of Onitsha market is not an indication of the success of Obi's govt. Onitsha market is the biggest in Nigeria and also the dirtiest. It is a shame that with all the incentives that Onitsha market provides, Obi has been unable to improve its sanitation. The entire Onitsha city is one pile of dirt. |
doyin13: To be honest, I really don't care for this kind of state by state analysis and do not see much value in it. The whole country is chronically mismanaged and government of any kind, ilk or from any place is highly inadequate and they do far too little or are not in the place to do anything.there is a contradiction in your post. The mismanagement you allude to in the latter can only be addressed in small phases when we begin to address little matters like the former. This budgetary analysis can be a stepping stone and a basis for issue oriented criticism and not person bashing or rhetoric. |
You are out of your mind to call Anambra a rural state. FYI: Anambra is the 3rd largest developed state after lagos and Rivers states. Go figure anu mpama
I will not stoop to your low level. |
shymmex: Some of you guys are very funny indeed..GEJ that cannot even handover to himself, talk less of handing over to a man of his choice. funny clowns!! |
Imagine calling the economic hub of the SE, rural state. It can only come from political jobbers like elrufai who are seeking attention. Knowing that its by insulting the most important SE state that he came achieve celebrity status. All these mudslinging by Elrufai is borne out of the fact that GEJ is secretly planning to hand over to Obi in 2015. Obi is expected to decamp to PDP any moment from now to perfect the 2015 race. The north has been shook to its foundation over the plan by GEJ to annoint Obi for 2015 race, so they have decided to throw jabs to Obi via Elrifai to poison the minds of Anambrans and SE at large. Obi knew about it that is why, his first response was that it was an insult on ndigbo. He could have responded in other-words, but he knew the grounds upon which Elrufai has been recruited to attack his political life. 2015 race has since begun so umunne mu watch out and don't be deceived by arm-chair critics.
Guy when last did you go to Anambra state? I was there two weeks ago and it is indeed rural, especially considering the wealth in onitsha alone. What bloody political life does Obi have that is worth attacking? He should respond to the criticism of the budget like an educated man not mouthing ethnic jingoistic c.rap that is better suited to the likes of TA Orji. I had so much respect for Obi. |
Gbawe: Indeed. In fact the main problem with EL Rufai is that he is far above his peers in regards to a constant desire to 'raise the bar' by deploying a holistic, methodical and analytical approach to politics and Nation building. The truth is that very few Nigerian politicians analyse issues minutely and intelligently as El Rufai does. Mind you, that does not mean he is always right or that he is a saint.I agree with every word of this post. I wish i could like it twice. |
bashr8: elrufai is a dummy and yes he insulted the igbo race by stupidly constructing such mischevous write up , imagine if a non non nigerian planing to come and invest in anambra reads his devilsh write up the person will automatically assume anambra is the worst place to be in nigeria and africa and u tell me its not an insult to igbo race, he should occupy himself with finding solutions for the killing and bombings going on in the north.Dude, don't even go there. There are several things you can call Nasir but a lack of intelligence is not one of them. That man is as intelligent as they come. |
Creflo's parental ability is suspect. A 15 yr old daughter? by 1am? wonders shall never cease. |
Onlytruth: This El Rufai direct attack on Obi may be all the proof we need to conclude that the PDP may well field Obi as a presidential candidate in 2015. I've heard the rumor severally but it looks too "blindsiding" to be true. When you consider that APGA recently severally turned down invitations from other opposition parties, the math starts to add up!Dude, you and Obi have missed the point. El-Rufai is not calling Obi a failure. He is currently doing a series on state budgets. A series where budgets are being analysed in depth and constructive criticisms offered. He has been doing this for months now.He simply criticised that of Anambra made genuine points to score the budget low. Obi should address the points he made in the article and stop wiping up stale emotions. I expect better from Obi. This kind of ethnic jingoism is expected from the likes of Okorocha and T.A. Orji not Obi. |
Peter Obi seems to have lost his marbles. |
coogar: i put £10 on him this morning becoming the top scorer @ 66/1 @ euro 2012.ya right. he has a very bright future. besides the talent he has the right head between his shoulders and a good support system. |
coogar: you still don't get it.Pls throw more light on this. |
kwitsy: My own stand is d guy responsibl should marry nd cater for her nd d child cos most times its even adults dat lures dis teenagers 2 bed.you are sentencing your daughter to a life sentence without the option of parole. |
naijababe: Or could hump aroundPls don't be cruel. |
Ninilowo: Same happened to me. The child is now in SS1 while those blabbing then are now envious. When there is an error from our children, we should not treat them as outcast. That is when they need us most. Let us rebuke them in a loving manner cos the deed has benn done already. casting out cant solve the problem.preventing them from doing the deed is the crux of the matter. |
going thru this thread,it is obvious why AIDS and STDs are still a major problem and will not go away anytime soon. folks outside marriage are still having unprotected sex? Besides rape,i shudder to understand why people put themselves at so much risk. I think we need to ramp up the sex education campaign. It is not working so far.I support churches that are even getting involved in this drive. Every child of mine must know how to use a condom by the time they are 11,12 and must carry one when going out socially. There will always be teenage pregnancy (especially i na society like ours where poverty is rampant) but we are still not doing well at all.the stats on terminations bear me out. |
ijigbamigb: •Transport Minister Umar Idris: “There is destiny in everything. There is the hand of God in everything. Every man will taste death. Any time any one dies, his time has come. I used that same aircraft same day from Lagos and came to Abuja by 2pm. In the conduct of investigation, certain issues will be addressed to avoid recurrence. With comments like this, you will understand why some of us have lost hope in this project called Nigeria. |
coogar: everything wentAnd by extension damaged Anderson's legs. |
chamotex: Tom Huddlestone is a decent player that can hold in midfield. Big, strong with good tekkers.Chamo in big time trolling on his own board. carry this gist go Comedy section o! |
coogar: carrick had an outstanding season. his stats are better than mostI agree with you on this. If only you would drop this Anderson angle to the whole equation. That boy has no future apart from being a squad member at united. |
there is nothing complete about that building nor the project as a whole. That grainy pic up there is very deceptive. why not take a pictures of different stretches of the Orile road and let us see how far from complete the project is? I actually have my doubts if this project will be completed in another 24 months based on the pace of work. Another issue is that Orile road project. infact up to mile 2. the road is half complete and even the completed part have been destroyed by blocked drainage (by the traders and passers by). Orile road is a proof that govt is not our only problem. The followers are as bad. |
adebaxton: This man is such a dumbass,he was arrested for fraud by d company and was fired by AIR NIGERIA.How does that relate to the authenticity of his gist. Are the planes air worthy or not? Are the pilots on strike or not? Sine you are Jimoh's PA answer the important questions. We are not the Police nor EFCC. they should deal with the theft allegations not us. |
coogar: roy hodgson is a tool....a geriatric tool!I think Hodgson is trying a psychological warfare. He is trying to prove to Liverpool fans that he bears no grudge against them. ![]() There is just no other explanation. The presence of Kelly and Henderson on the wait list let alone the 23 man squad is proof that Hodgson has a very dark sense of humour. Don't get me started on Downing. Anyway, i am Oranje all the way this summer. |
In his submission, state commissioner for budget and economic planning, Gogo Charles said the bill is to ensure those who serve in government do not leave in tears “It is an attempt to domesticate the federal act, and a great improvement on the existing Rivers State law of 2003. If you know that if you serve as a governor and complete your tenure, you will be remunerated for life, then the tendency to be corrupt will be reduced,” he argued. Some participants at the hearing expressed desire to have former lawmakers, elected local government officials and even student union leaders benefit from the law. you hear such things on air and you wonder if you have mistakenly tuned into COMEDY CENTRAL. This clowns are having a laugh on our behalf. How does a sane person allow such thoughts go through his mind talk less of escape his mouth? |
A lack of viable opposition has turned Amaechi into a demigod. We as a people are too easily impressed. Amaechi is trying but i never hear anyone address the inadequacies of his govt. This jumbo package will not stop pilfering. |
montelik: I doubt its anything serious. Jorge Mendes (Nani's agent) has a phenomenal working relationship with Gill and United. If Nani wants to stay, a deal will be made. If he wants to leave then he will be sold, no need for silly headlines. This is just the papers blowing stuff out of proportion (like they did with Vidic's negotiations). This Nani himself making comments while away with portugal. It is not even a case of being misquoted. |
Nani's contract talks have broken down. |
afrodoc: i agree with montelik dt we need some1 dt can go into d starting 11 almost immediately.we already have fabio and then fryers as understudies.Fabio is off to Benfica on loan(initially), i hear. |
coogar: very decent....i hear he is going to Barca. |

. GEJ has no power to hand over to no one - he got there because certain people wanted him there, and I doubt GEJ would even be there in 2015 to hand over to anyone.
