Mustay: Exactly. Buh the fact that mainland customers are more than Island customers doesn't mean they deserve less anyway.

My mouth too!

The SMS deduction explanation the customer care representative gave me didn't add up. I suspect a 'pyramid scheme' - little drops of water. . .

GTBank's reputation has been called to question in the past year and what's more, they have been TERRIBLE at handling/managing crises (e.g online banking blackout).
I will address that issue in the next few weeks.
Once i go through my account for 12 months and find it reoccurring, i will get a lawyer to write them and claim it has been going on for the last 5 years.
If no better response, i go get a lawyer to go to court for me,pro bono style and i will get one of the press boys to do a small article for me.
the problem is finding time to go through my statements.
Am surprised people still find time to sit in debating and analyzing God's Prophets. What do they know about sin? Is God after the mistakes you make as a born again Christian or does He look out for the rejuvenated you, seeking to bring the lost back into the kingdom? I only have this question to ask you: Are you born again and do you have the Holy Spirit live in you? If yes, then there wouldn't have been any need for this long mind-confusing essay, which will only end up winning souls for the kingdom of darkness. Do a serious rethink about this, stop being sin conscious and give righteousness a chance. Its not by power nor might but by the spirit, says the Lord.
Your comment reminded me of a famous quote by one of the greatest Christian apologetic that ever lived;
"There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight."
- C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

I see your point about sin consciousness but ignoring the fact that sin is an issue simply because you are born again is like swinging from one extreme to the other. The devil loves both extremes,as long as you are not in the middle.

bluepro: In not holding brief for anyone, l like to ask this question: if Pastor Chris said that smoking is not a sin and u don't smoke, will u then start smoking? If he said that drinking alcohol is not a sin, will u then start drinking if don't? Let's be very clear on what he said, he was expessly asked if self service is a sin and he answered no, but did not say it is right. There was a follow up to this issue as a result of the reaction it created, which nobody have mentioned. If we go by the bible, cigarette smoking was not mentioned and cannot be called a Sin, but does it make smoking right? No! Is it okay to eat food? Yes. Can eating of food becoming a sin? Yes (when one turns to a glutton).
I am not really a big fan of this debate but i am attracted by the bold part.
That comparison is wrong. Food in moderation is good but you cannot say same for smoking. Even passive smoking has been proven to be harmful to the human body. Taking in stuff that is harmful to the body in any dose whatsoever is a violation of God's temple (your body).
If the argument was made for alcohol vis a vis food, i would understand. There are even scriptures that admonishes and glorifies wine. The issue is moderation. Most avoid drinking as moderation is hard to determine.

1025: if una like, make una convert messi and ronaldo to dm, the solution is just what i wrote above.the trophies man u dey win, na by wayo. finishing second this season, na by wayo. make una take time watch those games all over again and u will understand what am saying.
1025: @montelik,
i never for once believed that the almighty man u will be at the mercy of another. i remembered the last game in 2010 when chelsea was to meet wigan, fergie and his wards were praying that wigan shock chelsea so that they will win the league but chelsea went ahead and thrashed wigan 8-0. the just concluded season was not different as fergie was pleading with mark huges to remember how man city sacked him and pay them back after all the howard webb displays, man city used the last strike of the game to smile home. now u are praying that man city stay away from the players u want. the noisy neighbours are turning into grave yards. all of u man u fans, very soon, u will be made to contribute to offset the debts of the club. all the money u have been wasting on bribing refs will soon back fire.
very soon, arsenal will be putting fears in ur body when it comes to buying of players.
una never see something. the owner of the club is close to cardiac arrest because he wants to compete with olowo of chelsea. the man with crude oil money.
1025: man u are paying for their fraudulent approach to the mikel's issue where ferguson fraudulently signed mikel and at the end sold him triple of his fraudulent price.
if not for their most valuable player(Webb)this season, they for end up at the middle of the table. as the day breaks, eyes are becoming so much on this romance between webb and ashley young/welbeck penalties.
unfortunately, an england team built around welback and ashley young will never ever benefit from the diving tricks of ferguson and his wards because webb will not be in charge of their game.
morgan anderson who worked with ferguson in using mikel in such a criminal act was jailed for two years in norway so until ferguson serve his own jail, man u will continue to spend on that position.
thank mourinho that till date, chelsea are not searching for a defensive midfielder.
for those wondering why ferguson is still looking for wide men instead of dm, he wants more divers so that the pressure will not be that much on young.
he has passed his peak and should go home before man u fans throw stones at him.
you are obviously a boy.
No man would spew the amount of rubbish you spewed above.
you just proved it.

OAM4J: How best to honour Abiola, by Tinubu

To the protesting students, Tinubu said: “You have the right to air your grievances over this matter. Let me speak to you as a mentor and a leader. Though I am in support of your position, but do not criticise the government without giving it alternatives.”

A former Senate President, Unilag, Agbabiaka Ahmed, said the renaming of their school will not only destroy the brand name it had grown and maintained for 50 years, it was also capable of demoralising the students.

http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/48557-how-best-to-honour-abiola-by-tinubu.html
Airing their grievances should not extend to blocking the 3rd mainland bridge. Such acts of banditry should be expected from NURTW not budding intellectuals. This reign of lawlessness in the country is not amusing one bit.
Anyway, if Ozumba Mbadiwe can be blocked for Patience, i guess the students are within their rights to shut down the Island.

Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka Opposes UNILAG/MAU Renaming by mbulela: 8:17am On May 31, 2012
odumorun 1: I strongly disagree with Wole Soyinka on this.

The furore regarding the renaming of Unilag is elitist posturing of the worst kind, dressed up in the garb of democratic protestation. This has nothing to do with anger that the council of the university was not consulted. The university and its senate and governing council do not fund the school. The school is funded by the federal government from the federal purse representing millions of hardworking Nigerians most of whose kids will never enjoy the benfit of a university education let alone a prestigious one like Unilag.

The storm in a tea cup is another example of middle class Nigerians, particularly yoruba ones (the most snobbish and self regarding version and yes i am a Yoruba) refusing to be associated with a person largely revered by the poorer classes. The same happened when Uiversity of Ife was renamed in 1987 in honour of Obafemi Awolowo, when a few hundred students largely of middle class origin demonstrated their objection, while the poor people in the town, carpentars, shoe makers, tailors and others who benefited from awo's reforms celebrated.

This is all about a few priviledged and educated yoruba people wanting to retain what they see as an eleitis label placing them apart from the majority of the population whom they secretly despise. If the school had been named after Barack Obama would they be protesting, even if it was done without consultation - Of course they wouldn't - they'll probably be fantasising about getting an easy visa ride in the American embassy.

Wole Soyinka is a radical and progressive Nigerian but his elitism is a well known flaw which is why he has never inspite of his undoubted courage been able to buod a mass following for his ideas.

Unilag is funded by the majority of the people of this country, not the students or their lecturers. Most ordiany Nigerians respect the sacrifices people like abiola made - they, not the spolit middle class kids kicking up a fuss in Unilag are the majority. The noisy minority in Unilag should be ignored. they will son go back to their Ipads

If they don't like the name when they receive their degrees let them rip them up. They don't own the school, the people do -i've not seen any demonstrations in mushin, shomolu, bere or sabongari against it.

If wole is not happy let him write a poem about his fury. He is a great man, but on this occasion he is wrong
simpe question for you.
Would all these distractions by the elite not have been avoided if GEJ put a word across to the Senate and council of the school days before the announcement? What would it have cost him? 100 naira airtime? An email? A faxed page?
Why exactly does this presidency act like a group of men/women who are incapable of organising a piss up in a brewery?
Why are simple things made complicated? If simple acts like renaming a school can be so mishandled,is it the security of 150million Nigerians that you want to entrust into the hands of this seemingly confused clowns?

montelik: Complacency and over-confidence has started to set in. We need at least 2 midfield signings. This is our present midfield excluding wingers

This is our present midfield contingent. One player who may never ever return, much less at his previous standard (which was hardly POTY worthy). Another who has shown not just inconsistency in his play, but in his availability for selection as well. Another who has shown brief flashes of potential but barely demonstrated much so far in United colors. Also 2 aging veterans whose continual inclusions on match days has not only the opposition teams hopeful, but United fans in a state of worry. Carrick is the only player there without a huge ?.

We continually complain when we see Giggs and Scholes in the starting line-up. Yet some think we can do with only one addition. Wasn't SAF's justification for not making one if not two central midfield signings last summer that Pogba was ready to step up. Guess what he isn't around anymore. We need more than one.

Do people think City and the rest of Europe will stand still. If Scholes hadn't come out of retirement we would have lost the EPL by March. We just lost EPL after uncharacteristically running out gas in the final stretch of the season, despite having no outside commitments but the league. That is what happens when you have a combined almost 80 years and lethargic Carrick in the engine room at the heart of the team. We made it as far 5th round of the league cup, 4th round of the f.a cup, didn't get past the group stages in the UCL despite having the easiest group and blew the title with an 8 point lead, much easier final fixture schedule and no excuse about distractions from playing multiple competitions.

Is our goal to finish high next season or to regain our league title as well make a serious run in Europe at the same time. Remember when we had Scholes, Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher, Hargreaves, Giggs playing and contesting central midfield in 07/08. That was a clear collection of quality and the competition brought out the best in them and the team. That is what we badly need now.

Instead this our situation. Scholes and Giggs whom are really past it at the level we hope to attain, Anderson who has proved to be unreliable, Fletcher who now has major fitness concerns. Tom C is the only new face and we aren't even sure what we have in him yet.

We need more than one midfield signing, else we could be here next year asking the same questions.
in my view, Scholes and Giggs signing new contracts were the worst transfer news possible.
I was hoping both would depart and force SAF to reconstruct this midfield completely.

football fans are often deluded individuals so this RVP argument is in order.
to recap, why exactly does RVP owe it to Arsenal and its fans to sign a 130k pounds contract in a world where he can earn at least 200k plus a trophy or two? Please don't use the world loyalty. there is nothing like that in the game.
how much does Arsene Wenger earn in comparison to other EPL managers?
Compare the ticket prices at Emirates to other clubs of similar size in England?
My gut feeling tells me that RVP will refuse a new contract but will be willing to sit out the last year.
the problem is that Arsenal will rather cash in but the problem is that the highest bidder is City but RVP will not be keen on playing for another EPL club. Barca and Real are not flushed with cash at present. so here comes a stranger transfer session than Nasri and Cesc.

coogar: are you saying anderson has no talent or his performance
has been hampered by his injuries and fitness?

cos if we are talking talents, he's the most talented young
midfielder we have got
...this was a player playing as a number 10
before we converted him to a central midfielder....he learnt
the ropes and whenever he's flanked with fletcher/carrick...united
bossed games.
how many young midfielders do we have?
for all the talent of Anderson (and i have slight doubts he is as talented as you and a few others claim) i doubt he has had up to 15 good games in a united jersey. after almost 5 years, why we still keep talking about him in such terms baffles me.
Sir Alex will be an ediot to make a plan around that guy. he must be nothing more than a squad player. Hope he plays up to a dozen games next season and flog him off to anyone who is willing to pay anything above 7 million pounds.
That midfield needs rebuilding and Anderson is not an integral part of that rebuilding exercise.

The man in my second example earlier was so rich his wife advised him to buy Kingway stores in Ikeja in the early 80's but he was like he didnt have any flair for business and ppl would just swindle him (Which I cant blame him for) His own idea of financial planning was to save and that couldnt last for more than 3yrs.
