Interesting words from Dimitar Berbatov "I don't think I deserved such treatment at United – not playing in the last year," said Berbatov. "I went more than 10, probably 15, times to ask the coach if they need me. And every time I was told that I'm an important player and should not leave, but then again I was not in the team. "Maybe I should've gone when he [Ferguson] left me out of the squad for the Champions League final [in 2011]. I know he's the boss, but he has lost, to some extent, my respect because of the way he treated me." "He [Ferguson] tried to explain to me that the team will be using a more direct style, with more speed but I've never been among the fastest players, I like to hold the ball, this is my style. I found it hard to accept his decision – I still have my dignity. I scored many goals, I won the league two times, and I was the league top scorer, so it's not bad. I'll have no problems playing against United as this already happened in my career. But there's no point to look back again. I said goodbye to the people, who deserve it. I couldn't say goodbye to Ferguson." |
debosky: Sir SB I hope you noted the fantastic cross the maverick delivered to seal the three points.the first decent corner Nani has taken in 7 years. |
montelik: As my brother likes to say "Berba could dribble 4 guys in a space no bigger than a telephone booth without breaking a sweat".Been a while since i heard a greater truth. One of the few footballers,i'll pay to watch train. He makes football feel s exy |
I have never seen Barca play so poorly in a very long time. The misplaced passes, the half hearted attempts pressing and the comic defending were worrying. Pep is beginning to look like the Special One. |
debosky: Dembele has potential, but is nowhere as good as is being hyped. . . .at least not yet. Looking good playing in Fulham colours ain't the same as turning out for United.God bless you. May you walk and never stumble. |
Jesus Wept again. |
Nimshi: doja: interesting post.I have a recommendation. Autobiography of an African author. you probably do not know much about him so the familiarity issue you raised does not arise. Sometimes There is a Void: Memoirs of an Outsider by Zakes Mda very good read, insightful and funny without being less serious. Zakes is a master story teller, so i was not surprised. |
make Amaechi try fix the gutters called roads littering all over PH first before aspiring to higher things. When you see the state of roads around PH,you'll know that Amaechi is the kind of guy Eldee calls WASH WASH. All this media propaganda is for the uninformed. The man should sit down and work. |
Ferdinand is out for 3 weeks ?? |
Why am i struggling to get Juan Sebastain Veron out of my mind in the last two days? I am struggling to but just can't. |
with all his fraudulent tendencies, Ohakim is laughing his heart out. Imo State are on a very long thing. |
coogar: man utd refused to disclose how fletcher went about his recovery. they actually told the media they should refrain from asking so as to allow the player a peace of mind.If he had the operation i just described above, then no way will Darren be risking his life with professional sport. |
coogar: a combination of rooney + rvp gives us a slight edge over other teams...so if Joe Hart becomes available,we will bid for him? |
coogar: there is....Surgery to remove the colon will cure ulcerative colitis and removes the threat of colon cancer. Surgery is usually recommended for patients who have: Colitis that does not respond to complete medical therapy Changes in the lining of the colon that are thought to be precancerous Serious complications such as rupture (perforation) of the colon, severe bleeding (hemorrhage), or toxic megacolon Most of the time, the entire colon, including the rectum, is removed. Afterwards, patients may need a surgical opening in the abdominal wall (ileostomy), or a procedure that connects the small intestine to the anus to help the patient gain more normal bowel function. if this is the kind of recovery you have in mind then he has no hope of pursuing a return to professional sport. I still doubt that Darren has completely recovered. Remission is more like it. Like i said earlier, i wish him the best. |
Meanwhile, what is all this RVP craze about? i have been struggling to understand where he fits in the scheme of things. Just does not make sense at all. we need a proper central midfielder to complement Carrick (side eyes Anderson) and a competition for Evra. I sincerely pray that this RVP thing dies a natural death. |
coogar: fletcher has completely recovered from his stomach sickness...untrue. their is no complete recovery to that ailment according to medical science. I think he is in remission. I struggle to understand how he can play football at the highest level with that ailment. I love his tenacity, though. |
yuzedo: Motherfcukers NEVER cite original authors. . Be taking credit for shii they don't/can't conceive. Tell one more person "thank you" in response to their credit and amma find u motherfcuker!i tire for the guy o. see the way him just they accept the appreciation. |
This is not a Muslim or Christian thing. this is a human thing. The man is deluded and slightly imbalanced in the head. I have muslim friends who attend weddings in church regularly. On of my best friends is a devoted muslim and was scheduled to be a grooms man at my wedding but could not make the trip at the end. My Christian faith has never been in doubt and i do not agree with the tenets of the Islamic faith, yet our friendship can't be any stronger. There are few humans who will go the miles he has gone for me. Stupidity has no religious affiliation and this man is an idiot of a very high order. |
That mile 2 area is notorious for this. It happened to me some months back. |
March man: @Any Pen, The Minister actually wrote this> He is indeed very intelligent. He made a first class/distinction at Sussex University in Development Studies. How does that address the issues at stake? His intelligence has never been in doubt. His ability is the matter at stake. He is fond of speaking plenty grammar and delivering little. |
mallam Bolaji Abdullahi speaks way too much grammar for my liking. The same grammar he spoke during the ABSU rape case, he spoke during the NYSC issue is the same grammar he is speaking in the sports ministry. I think he should return to journalism. His grammar is too much for my liking. we need action. |

Until i took an unplanned and disappointing leave from books weeks ago, i just finished reading The Paradox of Choice - Why More Is Less by Barry Schwartz. One of my more favourite titles from the Behavioural Economics genre. Very practical book that left me thinking. I left Italian Job by Gianluca Vialla /Gabriele Marcotti half way. That was my last read. Read Dead Aid by Dambisa Moyo a while back . I also read The age of Paradox by Charles Handy a while back and read the first Freakonomics.i felt the 2nd one was just an effort of greed. Abig fan of their podcast by the way. I am hugely excited about Who Ate all the Pies by John Nicholson, can't wait to get back into the act of reading so i can get down to it. Recently got How Will You Measure Your Life? by Clayton Christensen too, i'm a fan of his though their are aspects of his work i do not agree with. Will have to find a delicate time to read A Life Too Short: The Tragedy of Robert Enke. Not an easy read i imagine. |
Tayo may be turning in his grave. I hope Agbaje knows what he is doing? staff morale is low. customers are noticing downward trend in service delivery. I just hope he knows what he is doing? I have been doing some transactions with Diamond bank and i am loving it. |
Gbawe: Ajimobi must simply get to work immediately. As far as I know, he has done nothing of note to improve the lot of Oyo folks. To then be seen spending State funds frivolously is the heights of insensitive leadership. They should read this guy the riot act and make it clear he must start delivering tangible performance or face the backlash from the people in the near future. Ajimobi has sterling credentials on paper and it is very disappointing this has not being matched by solid performance as a Governor.you don't say. |
Pastor Bakare, leave matter. This is where we are headed. This fly is destined to end with the coffin,6ft below. The arbarians have moved from the gates, they now own the city center. There brazen audacity willensure that the point below is inevitable. Save your sermon. This lot hear no truth. 4. THE PEOPLE’S REVOLT: I seriously wish and fervently pray that it will not get to the stage of a people’s revolt before positive changes begin to happen in the north and south of Nigeria. Without a doubt, if corruption remains king, violence its deputy, and insecurity the treasurer of the ill-fated status quo Federal Republic of Nigeria, we might as well write the gravestone epitaph today: “Here lie the remains of a potentially great country whose ruin came because leadership did not give a damn; her filthiness was in her garments, her collapse was awesome, because she did not consider her destiny.” |
Fergie and wingers. which one be this Lucas love-in again? |
Billyonaire: Do you know what it takes to have a Doctorate degree ? Some people can yarn dustThe type GEJ has? |
Tunde Bakare has his faults (plenty of them) but one thing is certain. He is way ahead of his time. If i was in his shoes, I'll quit this prophetic thing, relocate my family abroad and travel around the globe preaching some prosperity stuff. Just ignore this Nigerian situation. i often wonder why men like him and Sam Adeyemi even bother about this thing called Nigeria? It is a failed project. The barbarians have gone beyond the gate and are holding sway in the city center. The people themselves, couldn't care less. So why bother? |
Ibime: ^^^Abeg we no want hear about electricity supplier! That FFP thing no go get head. Suddenly no one is afraid of it. They suddenly realise that Platini can't do jack. Just watch and see. |
BetaThings: But it is a very good alliance when ex-militant is in charge of maritime securityresource control |
