dayokanu: David, Jenny. The way you make sense sometimes just amazes me. If only you will be serious more often. |
Has there been any discussion on Bayern's set pieces, especially corner kicks? Do they practice them? Is there meant to be a pattern behind them? You just can't have 20 corners in a match of such magnitude and waste all of them. Little details like this make the difference at that level. Players declining to take spot kicks must be a treasonable offence. This is very unlike a German thing. Whatever Bayern do,this summer they must separate Ribery and Robben. They are not worth the hassle. They make Sturridge look like a team player. |
May the best rigger win. It is not like ACN are saints. |
21 May 2012 Chairman, Subsidy Rein-vestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P), Dr. Christopher Kolade, at the weekend said the gains of the Programme were evident in its investments in mass transit, road construction, maternal and child health care delivery services and pledged that the committee is poised to enforce strict implementation of its mandate. His assurance followed comments by the Minister of State for Finance, Alhaji Yerima Ngama, that going forward, the subsidy reinvestment fund would now be paid to state governments separately - into a special account that they have been directed to operate. Kolade in a statement assured Nigerians that the programme would create the desired impact on the citizens. He said so far, the SURE-P has made significant progress focused on delivery of projects as indicated in the recent 2012 approved budget. Signed by the Head, Public Relations, SURE-P, Mary Ikoku, Kolade further said:“We are going beyond rhetoric to execute the mandate of making sure that the money budgeted is used to alleviate the immediate impact of petroleum subsidy discontinuation on Nigerians, accelerate economic transformation through investment in critical infrastructure projects so as to drive economic growth and achieve Vision 20:20:20 and lay a foundation for the successful development of a national safety-net programme that is better targeted at the poor and most vulnerable on a continuous basis.” He also said the Committee was focused on “making things happen, with the citizens as the targets for the projects service delivery since they paid the sacrifice for the subsidy money.” He added that its primary focus was currently projects execution. “Part of the projects that have started is the provision of public mass transit service, construction and maintenance of roads, provision of maternal and child health care service especially in rural areas and vocational training centres. “We have set up an international metrics for monitoring, measuring and evaluating each project executed based on the Poverty and Social Impact Analyses (PSIA).” He, however, noted that due to the partial removal of the fuel subsidy, the Federal Government budget for SURE-P had been scaled down to N180 billion in the 2012 budget. SURE-P’s Sub Committee Convener for Maternal and Child Healthcare, Fatima Adamu, said it was working with the Midwife Service Scheme (MSS) and different intervention units to improve the access of rural women to healthcare services. Meanwhile, the minister said before now, states’ monthly allocation had included an undisclosed component of subsidy reinvestment fund in the past five months. On the part of the federal government, he noted that about N75 billion had been saved in its SURE-P account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He said it is not clear, however, if states actually set aside the SURE-P’s part of their monthly allocations in the last four months when the programme was launched. |
AjanleKoko: ^^Don't kick a man when he is in the gutter. |
dayokanu: I agree Robben chokes at very key momentsMessi |
coogar: this is why i want sigurdsson.try end this Anderson obsession. the boy is not worth the stress and he has no future at this club. |
ritchboy: Cleverley, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes and Pogba.very good joke. a career in comedy awaits you. |
The following conversation ensued between me and my elder doctor sista doing residency today. *A resident doctor is a doctor employed by the hospital to perform normal doctor work while he or she is being trained quite different frm an house officer as resident doctors cn alredi practice anywhere since they are through with medical school* Me: hi what's up I heard luth doctors av joined the strike too. Sis: Yes ooo but it doesn't rily affect me. I'm still working sha. Me: I need money to rent accommodation for NYSC.... I wasn't given a place.. Can you imagine. Sis: I so much need money too. Luth is yet to pay me. Can you imagine this Nigeria is nonsense. How can I av been working since january and this is almost June and I av not been paid? Me: Na wa oooo.... Since January.... Sis: Do they expect you to steal. And if you complain they will say they're saving it for u. And u shud be lucky u're not doing supra. And of all the federal hospitals luth pays the lowest and give no accommodation. Shebi fashola has sacked all the doctors and taken his father to america. Useless man. I cn barely eat right now and transport myself to work. *Supra are doctors who pay the teaching hospital to do residency because the slots for resident doctors employed by the hospital has been filled* Me: U're a charity doctor...ℓ☺ℓ Sis: God forbid. Was it charity that paid my school fees. Or is it charity that will put food on my table or buy car for me. I hate to say residency came at the wrong time... I was making good money in ****. At times close to 200k Me: Is **** doing residency also? Sis: Yes. Thnks for her.. I wud av been very broke. I'm staying in her accommodation for now sha. She started residency like 2 years ago. *end of conversation* Should doctor's strike? U decide for yourself
This type of post is part of the problem. What exactly are doctors striking for? Is it late salaries? is it a lack of accommodation? What exactly is this strike about? By the way, your sister doctor works in LUTH and that is a federal institution not a LASG org. Your sister doctor is lucky her own is since Jan. i know a guy who is a consultant and has been working for one of these federal teaching hospitals and has not been paid since he was absorbed around March last year. Dude has a family and has been surviving on his wife's salary and PPs. |
My problem is that the doctors are doing a very poor job of stating their case. It is not even obvious what they are striking for.one minute they say it is over the govt's unwillingness to keep to an agreement reached over a year ago. the next minute they say it is for improved working facilities. The govt is painting a picture of docs as greedy and insensitive. While i support strikes in certain conditions,it is difficult to support striking docs when you have no clear picture what they are striking for. If they have an agreement to which the govt is acting stubborn, then they should shut the hospitals because the polity is worthless if govt can not be held to its word and that word is short of a bond. |
ritchboy: But Fellaini is better than all United's midfielders as we speak. . .apart from Anderson and Giggs who is he better than? |
ACTUAL NEWS! Molde have confirmed that they are in talks with Aston Villa over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. |
efosanice: it's amazing how GTB does nothing about this websites, and GTB is really not doing anything about it and this makes me wanna close down my GTB account. i dont have these issues with other banks that i use.No one has explained to us why this problem is unique to GTB amongst Nigerian banks. |
Marouane Fellaini..Please
is that a joke? |
Jari Litmanen, the former Ajax and Liverpool No10, provided one source of inspiration for Rooney. "I enjoyed how he moved and got into space," he said. "And he was patient. If you looked at him, he always never looked like he was rushed doing anything. He always used to take his time. Then, when the opportunity came, he found the space to get the ball in the net. |
surprised to hear that people still fall for this. There even legitimate info that GTB will ask me but i will be uncomfortable divulging such online, i will just walk into a branch and provide such info. Much less scammers asking for personal details. |
AjanleKoko: ^^Soccernet no be bible now .Anyway, i heard it earlier.i think the man has lost his marbles. Pirlo has been in Turin for the last 1 yr and i think Ambrosini was suspended on that night. For Ox to have played against Pirlo,he must have covered a lot of distance that night. |
AjanleKoko: "Hodgson is impressed by how Oxlade-Chamberlain played against 'Pirlo and Ambrosini' of Milan, at the Emirates."He was probably misquoted. Guess something was lost in translation ![]() |
Been a while here...... I know we keep yabbing govt agencies, however i need to report the excellent service i got from NIPOST, Adeola Odeku this week. The service i received was 1st class. I went to enquire about a parcel that had been posted to me from outside the country. I was very eager to lay my hands on the contents and could not wait for the notification from them. The guy in charge of the parcel section collected the code from me, checked it on the system and confirmed that the numbers were incomplete but from the date it was posted assured me that it had not being received and would certainly arrive today. I returned today, after insisting i sit down, he traced the parcel from the recent arrivals, collected the official fee, issued a receipt and even advised me on how such parcels should be sent without the recipient incurring charges (He said it should have been sent as a registered mail instead of being sent as a parcel). I thanked him and walked away feeling like service had been delivered. There might still be hope for customer service in this country, least of all in govt agencies. |
Ibime: When some of us pointed out the wanton and wasteful spending overseen by GEJ in Bayelsa, we were shouted down. How can an intelligent man like you believe that? That bus story was just that,a story. |
Ibime: Church business is not above the Nigerian condition, namely corruption, nepotism, tribalism and incompetence. . . . but worst of all, hiring underqualified people to sensitive posts just because "the church only hires members".I have seen a few exceptions. |
sometimes Nigerians amaze me. We just love to complain. If the school is as bad as you claim, then leave.Did you sign a blood oath during your matric? Just leave the school and go enrol in another one. I don't get all this complaints about these private universities. it is not like them hypnotize potential students. it is accepted that the schools are populated by children of the rich, which means they have options. Why not exercise your options? that is the beauty of a free market. I am a Christian but i will never send my ward to any of these private universities, whether owned by my church or not. I am just not impressed by their operational model. But i don't go around knocking their hustles and posting sermons all over the place. As long as folks are flocking there, how do you expect them to change? Vote with your feet. For all the hype about CU as a Christian university,it must be a weird coincidence that a majority of the alumni i have met are as immoral as they come. |
*locked* post moved to joke section. |
AjanleKoko: I no see am oh. Come on YIM.i no fit YIM from my present location. i sent the mails days back. |
AjanleKoko: Zubi last night confirmed that Muniesa, Batra, and Montoya are all joining the first team. Of course, one or two of them will likely go out on loan, to make space on the bench. Montoya I think will be likely to stay, since he seems to be showing the most promise. Batra looks more like the person to go out on loan.you've got mails. |
AjanleKoko: I think we need another Eto'o. Definitely not a small guy, but also doesn't have to be a giant. Just decent height. Fast, mobile, good with the ball, good off the ball as well.you mean a guy like Ibra? |
montelik: ^^Haba what of Jones, he is a natural CB.Fergie says he needs a complete summer break as he has played more games than is good for his age. |
eleshin: @mbulela its so obvious u'v not listen to d album,I hate peeps appealing to ignorance,u talkin of lyrics? Guy free ur mind frm hate and listen again..spiritual healing, dance in d rain, freedom is life,in your eyes r tracks dat appeals to u at first listen cos d lyrics r out of dis world! Well he said it b4 he releasd d album dat its 4 matured mind.ok tell me which album is beta dan dis album in d last 2 yrs?You do not deserve a waste of my time but i will oblige you a bit. From the crap you typed above it is obvious that you are not one of the matured minds tuface was referring to. The album is good with varied experimentations that he manages to pull off. However, lyrically this album is no where near his last two albums. |
coogar: fergie needs to dump 4-4-2 to challenge.we need a complete central midfield with only Carrick as the main contender from the present team. Cleverley should be a squad player. Enough of the Anderson drama.Enough of it. However, Fergie stated yesterday that Scholes will play next season and Giggs might. If both counts are true then we are of all men, most miserable. A left back will come in cos Fabio is off to Benfica on loan and likely permanent afterwards. There is a potential problem in the middle of defence as both Smalling and Evans are due for surgery in the summer and Vidic will not begin training until August.Leaving Rio as the only fit central defender to go on tour. |
RuuDie: Huntelaar. . . thats another very DEADLY SOUNDING nameSAF hands were forced by Lindegaard's injury. |
coogar: and the value drops after a season and they are back to square one.Adebayo no send this argument of yours. He will be earning 170k a week for the next 2 or 3 years. whether he is sitting on the bench, sofa or on the treatment table makes very little difference to him. |
there will be nothing special about the movie. |
