chuqudy:I have seen the above and i comment both the original writer and the poster. However,i think this scare tactic is begining to sound childish and simplisitic. Buhari was a military president. Military govts rule by decrees and are enthroned by coups. Buhari did not invent any of those. there are ex military presidents in PDP and no one has used that against them. the way the scare tactic is propagated, you will think that Buhari invented coups or that he wrote the manual on decrees. Which of the contestants are products of democracy? Buhari has contested more elections than GEJ and inpite of his losses at the polls, he has not waged a Jihad or done anything ridiculous beyond pursuing his case at the courts like a decent individual.even when his silly party abandoned a court case for a bowl of porridge, the man remained steadfast. Buhari has contested more elections than GEJ and has been thorougly democratic in his conduct in the last 12 years. While Buhari might have locked up Ajasin et al during his days as a military president and it is easy to wipe up sentiments by listing those he locked up and how they subsequently died (even when they died of old age), a more interesting list would be that of those who have lost their lives needlessly on the benin/ore,east west roads axis in the last 12 years under the watch of the PDP (africa's largest party) despite the billions that have been voted for those roads. Or is it because that list might not be as sensational as the Ajasin et al list and may not wipe up enough sentiments? When Buhari wins, he would most likely have a minority govt, so i wonder how he is going to wipe what is left of our decency. what we need is not a saint and i doubt any BB supporter has said such. waht we need is a man/woman with the moral and political will to halt this gradual but sure slide of the country. a vote for PDP is a reward for 12 years of ineptitude, crass corruption and arrant irresponsibility and negligence. Voting out PDP is about holding our leaders accountable. it is about sending out a message, that we have been watching, we are not impressed and our trust has been violated, hence we cannot continue on the same path. How can you have 12 years of failure and expect anything different in the next 4 years while doing exactly the same thing? That souds liek a psychiatric case! While 1 year of GEJ is not enough to change things, it is enough to engage a reverse gear. Instead of engaging the reverse gear,GEJ has engaged the auto pilot and utter darkness beckons. A vote for PDP is a vote for continuity. The choice is ours. |
the biggest issue presently is a reworking of the background music. we need someone to replace it and replace it with something more catchy. that is the most important thing now. i want to speak to Wazobia in PH and see what an two premium time ads a day would cost. while we await more cash we need to roll out with what we have by Tuesday. No public holiday has been announced yet, so we need to stick to our plan. The election might not even hold on monday, especially in states were partial voting took place. ballot papers need to replaced and probably used ones destroyed. can anyone suggest which music to use as a background song? Jarus as a mod do you have interactions with Lalaboi (the music mod)? he must know one or two people who can sort out the ad for us even if it is for a little fee. he is well connected in such things. |
His inability to address the security situation in the country and playing politics with the numerous bombings in the country. either he lacks the political will or he is truly inept. |
by the way, this offer is still open for discussion; https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=576504.msg7430981#msg7430981 |

Jarus:Any update on the Aisha connection? Wazobia accept english adverts, so that is not a big problem. we need to remove the background song and replace it with a catchy naija song. |
Even beer parlours are not run this poorly. |
Kobojunkie:na catchy tune dey sell market here o! |
very inspiring message but while not ideal for the Wazobia audience, we have to go with it as time is not our friend. two issues now are removing the background track and finding a catchy naija track as a replacement. |
Jarus:the guys on the music section do that all the time. lets ask around. |
fstranger3:Please take this to the joke section ![]() |
I am worried that Buhari has not addressed this issue adequately. However after a careful analysis of the options in the field, i still believe that he is the best of a bad bunch. He might not solve all our problems as a nation but at least he will address the monumental slide that PDP has led this country on ithe past 12 years and seek to continue for another four years. four more years of the same and we may never recover again. |
Jarus:not a critical issue, i prefer the one ou mentioned earlier; Let's conclude the jingle with: This message is from Buhari/Bakare Nairalanders, a voluntary group of Nigerians rooting for Buhari on Nairaland.com, Nigeria's largest online discussion forum. we need to choose an ad by sunday nite o! what is the way forward on that? |
Jarus:Done. I deposited my widow's mite an hour ago. Please note that you need to specify two names for the deposit to be processed. I knew your first name, others might not so spell it out as we are running out of time and do not need self imposed road blocks. |
^^^^ just saw the casting out the demon article. will read it when i get back from work today. thanks for mentioning it. |
monday should be our deadline to get something on the air. Jarus/9ija, where do we stand presently? |
Kobojunkie:i did not look at the FB link but i heard one on the radio today.was not as catchy as the BRF and even Dapo Durosimi-Etti ad i heard soon after. well, we have to just keep pushing. |
9 days to go. we need these radio ads urgently. Jarus, send me your bank details to mbulela2010@yahoo.com. my finances are in a rotten state at present but these are the days of sacrifices. i will sacrifice something. we seem not to be reaching an agreement on the radio jingles, i will send my contribution to Jarus and trust his judgement. pls i am not in support of dstv advert o! or any tv advert for that matter. radio jingles make more sense. |
mbulela:any update on number 1 above? 9 days to go. |
Join us now or be prepared to shamefully confess to your children how you helped to sabotage Nigeria's future. if only most Nigerians would understand the importance of this comment above copied from TP. |
Jarus:how we go do now? this matter has gotten very dicey o! i read Pat Utomi's interview with Sun two weeks back and the one he gave yesterday where he dropped his candidacy and it dawned on me once more that we are heading to tunnel that is bottomless unless we halt and find our way out right now.Like i argued in another post https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=634615.msg8020779#msg8020779 Buhari might not be a saint (and i am not interested in one) but if we do not chase away this court jesters that are holding jamborees all over the place in the name of campaigns and promising things they have no clue how it can be achieved, we are doomed and i do not say it lightly. If only the 'progressives' could come together, this battle would be a walk over. |
proudly9ja:numerous radio adverts on wazobia PH, ABJ, lagos and naija fm will make more impact. |
i can't go through all the posts. i have a few questions; 1. i assume the paucity of radio adverts are due to a lack of funds. how much does a radio advert cost? how many adverts can NL B/B supporters afford (raise in 10 days) on a station like wazobia? can we try it? 2. there is a t shirt i saw on this thread, how can i lay my hands on a few and how much can i contribute for them? This is about our future, we must make sacrifices. |
I am buying a ticket tomorrow (against the election date) to fly to the city where i registered to enable me vote for B/B. I have converted my partner, i am talking to my mechanic and my sister. |
I still think that Buhari is the best of the bad choices i am faced with. I considered Ribadu but he sounds so naive when he talks. I often wonder if he has a clue about what he is seeking? We already have an inept, clueless folk on the saddle. we need someone who either has a clue about how to fix the socio economic problems or at least the firm mind to address corruption and rebuild strong institutions. the only areas where i see Ribadu being a better option than GEJ are that he is genuinely passionate about this country and he has less crooks around him. gej has got his head up the behind of so many barbarians that he seems blind. whether Ribadu is a saint or not is irrelevant to me.I do not believe any of them is, not even Buhari. After all is said and done, he is the best of a bad bunch. All the best to Ribadu but i am sticking with Buhari We just want change. more of the same for another 4 years will just signal the end of this country. |
I think Iweala would do better returning as finance minister. |
If this story is true, then my vote is secured in this man. Whether he wins or not i will be proud to tell my unborn child that i voted for a man of conviction who is not easily swayed by feeble words of every Dick, tom and Harry. At least he will not invite independence bombers to become senior officials of his campaign weeks after declaring them masterminds of one of the most shameful acts in this country. |
don33310:Fresh Air!! |
Any update on his case? |
