the lack of internal democracy will ruin these parties.
Even PDP manages to arrange primaries.
Tinubu is worse than Obasonjo.I just wish he and his party are not giving a chance to prove it.
To believe i considered voting for these charlatans!
After wasting my time to register, no better option.
shame on us!!

There is no short cut to it.
A lack of internal democracy will wreck ACN.

come to think of it, why is Amosu complaining?was he not also handpicked and imposed?
was there a primary election that he won?
This man is on his fourth party in how many years?
Barbarians!!!

Ogun State governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Ibikunle Amosun, on Friday dumped the party which has just concluded arrangements to begin its campaign tour across the state.

Mr. Amosun’s sudden decision hit the state like thunder. His Media Aide, Bola Adeyemi revealed that he {Amosun} has defected to the Congress for Progressive Change whose presidential candidate is the former head of state, Muhammadu Buhari.

Sources said the decision to leave the party followed allegations that the party hierarchy failed to fully incorporate his supporters in the sharing formula of elective posts.

He alleged that apart from the governorship slot given him, all other elective posts were given to a faction of the party who were members of the old Action Congress (AC) that metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria {ACN}.

Mr Adeyemi said that “some of the candidates presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission are unknown personalities who could not win election but were favoured by ACN leadership at the expense of credible and sellable ones.”

A source who prefers to be anonymous argued that, “they gave him only (4) four House of Assembly members, no senate or house of representatives seat and the deputy governor, Segun Adesegun was also impressed on him.

“All they want is to naked him, they don’t want him to have a say in the government, they want him to be a toothless governor,” he said.

Efforts to speak with Mr. Amosun proved abortive, and party leaders were said to be at a crucial meeting to find his replacement.

pro01:
Can someone tell me HOW Tinubu helped Mimiko become governor, considering that they do not belong to the same party. Was it by compromising the Appeal Court judges? Since it has been severally alleged that Tinubu has 'connections' in the Appeal Court. If not, then what exactly is the nature of the help he rendered to Mimiko?
he probably provided the after-election (election tribunal) war chest.

Politics › Re: Mubarak Has Decided To Step Down As President Of Egypt by mbulela: 9:17pm On Feb 11, 2011
this revolt was made possible by the armed forces.
if they had the kind of law enforcement agencies that we have in Nigeria, the entire crowd would have been shot dead in 3 days and afterwards the IG and COAS given CFR and MFR awards.
The Egyptian army knew there role and knew that allegiance belonged to the state and not an individual.

Much respect to the Egyptian people.
Whatever you get next at least your voice will be respected.

I think the muslim brotherhood is over rated.
the group makes up only a small fraction of Egypt’s populace, with no more than 100,000 or so followers in a nation of more than 80 million.

What assumption?
someone posted a reason why they boycotted NJO and i responded to it.
i don hear snippets of the album online, it is nothing special.NJO loses nothing by not being invited to the party.
Naeto C is nothing special.

However the fact remains that criticizing Sasha does not mean that NJO is even handed in handing out criticism.
They often hype c rap when it is produced by parties they support.
what fact is there to get?
Why would i look silly in the end?
Am i Obi Asika's PA or feed off the Storm trough?
i beg free me.

ENZO SCIFO:
I suppose you are setting me up for a backlash , like u can only criticise yet you can't find solution. The truth remains am not in position to give a step by step solution on this stuff cos its completely off my line and radar, but I also believe that GEJ has Special Advisers on such issues that should be a able to give a feasible solution of course if they are not the beauty queen type. Its all about developing a blue print that fits the future and following it rigously

And even if I can  give such feasible solution would I waste my time discussing it on nairaland ? with who? or to show say I sabi and win argument. C'mon don't lets kid ourselves new universities with the conditions of the existing ones are uncalled for.
you are learning fast.

yet they say i should have hope in this 'one chance' country?
even does who tend to make sense, end up joining the barbarians.
we are on a very long thing!!
tell me why we need more universities when the ones on the ground are almost moribund?
why will any person worth his salt accept a job to replicate glorious secondary schools around the place?
i just tire.

all parties in Nigeria are no good but this one has to be punished.
let us try an unknown evil.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by mbulela: 8:36pm On Feb 05, 2011
it would have been a crime against humanity if we won this game.
it could have gone on for another 60 mins and we would never have scored.
could barely string 3 passes all nite.
Giggs can't do it every wing.
I said it earlier that midfield needs a complete overhauling, not just one or two new players.
while you are at it send Jonny evans on loan and get an experienced centre half who can play in Rio's absence because he would be absent a lot of times.
Well done, Wolves.
It has been an interesting day.
