Politics › Re: BREAKING: Buhari Picks Amaechi As His Running Mate? by mbulela: 7:35pm On Dec 12, 2014
Amaechi has no electoral value.
More Christians will vote for Buhari if he picks Fashola than if he picks Amaechi.
In Nigeria, if you do not have a muslim name, you are automatically a Christian.
Some of these folks called Christians in Nigerian politics are heathens and have no relationship with Jesus Christ.
Religious divide is a construct by politicians used to divide and conquer.

Ambode camp was prepared for anyone that that wins the APC primaries, they are even more ready for Jimi Agbaje as they know his secrets and know that he is a mere overrated political paper tiger.Even he knows this himself, that's why he's already sending coded messages to APC through Fashola to still keep him in mind in case he doesn't make it.Do you guys know what he meant by keep him in mind?
proof pls.

I like Jimi a lot but this CV is very poor o!
I know say no by CV but this one dey substandard.
Secondly, are Lagosians seriously considering replacing one baba sope with another who is also an ex-convict to boot?
Ambode is beginning to look like a better option.

Lagos folks are funny.
You want to replace one baba sope with another.

In all of this talk Wike has said nothing about his plan for rivers people. My worry is that if by some miracle Wike loses,he and his camp will make the state almost ungovernable.
Reason why I said Rivers state is in a One Chance bus.

ShaddyTerese:
So what are his chances against APC under Amechi's watch?
Another Fayose in the making.
Much more than that, he has the rigging manual in his back pocket. For all his loquacuousness, Amaechi is not a grass root politician and neither is Peterside. Being a grass root politician is not particularly a compliment but it is what you need to win elections in Nigeria. To show you how strong Wike's grasp of the PDP structure is,not even GEJ can do anything about it. He can play as dirty as you imagine. Rivers state has stalled a piece of fish bone that will be difficult to dislodge. That bone is Nyesom Wike. The crux of the matter is a system that throws up characters like that for positions as sensitive as governorship.
What was Amaechi thinking when he nominated him for minister?
What was Obasanjo thinking when he handpicked Yaradua and GEJ? Short sighted decisions that have wrecked the country. A country with aspirations should have no business with an inept and clueless president like Jonathan.
If Amaechi thought Wike was good enough to be a minister of the Republic then Rivers people must get ready to enjoy his leadership as governor. The man will trounce Peterside.

Am not from Rivers state but with what I have been reading about this Wike of a person, he doesn't seem like a "tonic for the people in his state". Why then did PDP still field him?
Because the party structure is completely in his bag pocket. The man is a grass root politician, there is no doubt about it. If PDP tries anything, he will go to Labour party and still win the election. While the man was busy building the state structure for PDP through GDI,the other contestants were busying fluffing around.

However, the man is bad news.
It is like asking Adedibu to be the governor of Oyo State 10 years ago.

You can do better na!

May I remind you that as Minister of State for Education, Wike had two bosses whose imprimatur were needed before concessions could be made to striking lecturers? Or do you not that negotiations during strikes are not necessarily as simple as it looks as the government has to balance requests against available resources?

In any case, you need to hear Wike speak. The man is a textbook example of a grassroot politician. He is fully in charge: no bravado.

Just look at how he seamlessly delivered a well-scripted acceptance speech: dishing out punch lines after punch lines.

This man will literally murder the Peterside bloke should they slug it out via a debate.
Guy, I agree with you that Wike will win and win by a large margin.
However, he is the worst thing that can happen to Rivers state. Being a grassroot politician is not all there is to it. Adedibu was a grassroot politician politician, would you have wanted him as a governor of Oyo state?
Wike does not have what it takes to govern a state in the 21st century. He will wreck Rivers state and it is not a bad wish. It is the reality.
Politics › Re: Result Of Rivers State PDP Governorship Primary: Nyesom Wike Wins by mbulela: 2:12pm On Dec 08, 2014
Rivers State has entered one-chance!
The greatest mistake Amaechi made was not finding a way to manage this tout.
Whether he wins or loses, River state are in for a bumpy ride.

GEJ has revived and continues to improve our railways while Fashola cannot complete his Light Rail despite having a blueprint from Jakande since 1983 that Buhari cancelled out of ethnic jealousy and after collecting plenty of media points for inspecting aloku (scrap) trains in Toronto more than three & a half years ago, since May 2011:

https://www.nairaland.com/668039/pictures-fashola-inspects-trains-facilities

with almost 25,000 views of the PROPAGANDA thread of 13 pages.

In short Fashola's performance is media-fuelled for MUGUS to salivate upon when most of the decorative, cosmetic things he has accomplished are actually LGA work as per our constitution shocked

That is just one COMPARABLE sector oh!
I have not talked about LASG

- owing workers salaries,
- dilapidated school structures with no toilet facilities,
- absence of TAP water or
- terrible FEEDER roads all over the state!

Fashola na panda (fake) jewelry shines brightly at first but over time fades very rapidly while the real solid gold jewelry does not shine unnecessarily its steady quality lasts for much longer.
I hope you can understand the difference and how it relates to Fashola and Jonathan.
The same Jonathan that has been fixing apapa expressway for the last 4 years?
Do you realize that the state of that road is an impeachable offence on its own?
The same PDP that has been fixing east/west road and Benin ore road for the past 12 years?
Do you know how many billions Jonathan and his band of barbarians have spent in rehabilitating the airports? Does your conscience not prick you when you past through murtala Mohammed and the port Harcourt international airports?
Are you for real?

The Arewa People's Congress, APC in Lagos is a PROVEN failure after 15 years of MIS_governance.
Do you know why anyone would want to reward such proven failure next year to return them to Alausa house huh
You need to use your dictionary and see the true meaning of failure.
If you call APC a failure in lagos state then GEJ at the national level ought to be stoned in public for setting new standards for failure.

There is actually no difference.
Just that one has been tried and proven a failure. The other (APC) is alleged to be as inept but there is no proof. So let us try it and confirm or denounce the accusation. It will be ungodly to reward proven failure.

You seem to be increasing in daftness by the minute.
First of all your man of God does not need your defense. The God that called him should be well able to defend him.
Secondly, the kind of curses you spew show that your man of God has failed in his assignment to your life.
Thirdly, as long as he is a man, people will be entitled to make comments in a free world. Unless he has stopped being a man. By the way, even Jesus is talked about in negative terms and the sun still shines on his accusers. Expecting thunder to fire the accusers of Chris Oyakilohme,a mere man is rather silly and childish.

Fashola will just go back to his legal practice. He will never be trusted by Tinubu and if you are not trusted by him,you will not succeed in ACN. It is the obvious truth. The crux of the matter is, after all this exuberance will Ambode deliver? Fashola seems to have called Tinubu's bliff a few times but it seems Ambode will be a very willing lap dog.

Sweetlemon:
I just watched a hilarious edition of EL R8D on ebony life TV courtesy of EmmaohmyGod and Chigurl. There's this bitter after taste in my mouth because I realized that their sense of humour will most likely die a mysterious death when they become A-list stars. Why are our comedians like this?

I attended a wedding where Bovi was the MC. This was before he became popular. My goodness! We almost died of laughter! He presented us oven fresh jokes in the most unique manner. In fact, he was just something else. He soon became popular and even though he's still funny, (in fact, he's the only A-list star comedian that is still funny, and maybe AY) I have not enjoyed him the way I enjoyed before he became famous.

I have attended weddings/events with AY and basket mouth as MCs and I don't remember laughing even once. Maybe a smile here and there but no full blown laughter. AY is only funny in his shows, outside that, he's just there. But you won't believe it's the same guys that nearly cracked you to death during their hustling days. Even Julius Agwu is nothing to write home about at events. All they do now is charge outrageous fees just to show us their designer suits. Huh? Smh.

American comedians like Kevin Hart, Arsenio Hall, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Robin Williams (RIP) still make us laugh hysterically. So why are our stars forming like this? Could it be the psychological effect of too must hustling? Whatever, someone should tell these guys that this really not a good way of going international.
The moment you mentioned AY and said he was funny, at that moment your comment lost credibility. That dude is the driest man I ever cane across. One thing going for him is this - he is probably the most hardworking guy around.
