Well, Busquets is 29. He still has like 4-5yrs to play at top level. I just hope we'll still have Samper by then or a much younger and equally good player that we won't have to break the bank for.


For Iniesta's role, that's even the more pressing need now. He's 33 now, we should be looking at getting a young starter for him from now and within the next 2yrs. Once Iniesta is 35, he'll likely move on from Barcelona just like Xavi. For me, Denis Suarez fits that profile. He'll only get better with more playing time.

Sergio Busquets was 20yrs old in 2008 when Pep started playing him in the first team regularly. But we're still loaning Sergi Samper out at 22 and buying 29yr old Paulinho for €40M and Arda Turan for 30-something million pounds.

I believe Denis is a good player,if he was given the minutes Andre gomes (because of his price) was given last season...i believe he can do better.

I rate Denis Suarez way higher than Gomes. I agree with you that Gomes is getting more minutes because of his price tag. I just hope we'll get to see Denis play more.

I hope valverde play denis suarez against getafe.
Hopefully he would be rotating our squad and won't overuse our key players. Players like iniesta no need start that getafe match. We need to even utilize roberto more; chelsea and other teams are lurking around the corner and will likely want to sign him, because they know he has potentials and just needs to develop. He can play Denis in Iniesta's role, along with Paulinho in Rakitic's role. Later in the game, Roberto can come in. Getafe haven't been doing well this season. I don't see them kicking off their season against us because we started Denis Suarez.
