Footnotes:

It is sometimes funny the way opposition parties act in this part of the world. Christ! The fact you are an opposing party doesn't mean you oppose just anything that the sitting government profers. These people need to get a grip and understand what politics is all about- welfare of the people.
TV/MoviesRe: Jack Bauer Is Back: TV Thriller '24' To Return In 2014 by Mcleo007(m): 4:15pm On May 15, 2013
Breaking: Jack Bauer co-stars Kabiru Sokoto as the villain. The latter has a recurring role for 5 episodes. Goodnews for the Nigerian. His experience in real life terrorist operations will be a plus to setting the series in the right frame. Viewers will definitely be pleased by the cast.

Urine: I don't understand this? What's the big deal about studying abroad? I attended a good school in the UK and non of my course mates was a child of a political office holder, tuition was paid by our parents and most of us are from average families, other guys were on scholarships. Moral of my story? If your parents can't afford to send you abroad, work had so you can win a scholarship and stop wasting your time on this thread.
I see you fail to pick the point people are trying to make on this thread, and I know why. You misplace fortune for opportunity. Those two, although are conjectures in relative senses, mean different things altogether. Yes, you schooled abroad, nobody has a problem with that, and many of your colleagues like yourself were of average homes. That's fair enough. Now, the point you missed centers on leadership and position. Leadership or being in position of leading others come at a price. The price is leading an exemplary life, owning up to the ideals that benefit all. If you know you have nothing to contribute to the common lot, do not show your face. That is the problem with politics in this part of the world. The leaders see themselves as demi-gods and view doing their functions as serving privileges to the people who elected them into office. How many times do you hear Obama or David Cameron commission a project? Those things are elementary and hardly spoken of. But here, our culture of celebrating mediocrity continue to prevail. The leaders see any thing they do as privilege to the people and not them exercising the function of why they are in position.

3 of my siblings did school abroad. And yes, my parents are not politicians. They simply struggled to raise us the way they could afford to. My siblings who schooled abroad do not in any way feel they are better than i am, nor consider me inferior to them. We live our lives for ourselves. There is no problem schooling abroad, afterall, there are many
british people who school in the US and other European countries. What we are simply outlining borders on leadership by example. These people are aware of the rot in the system and do not see any need to address them. They let it be, despite it being their duty to cob. Why then should they exempt their own children? Practice what you preach IS THE GOLDEN RULE.

In what ways have our graduates outshined those of Western origin? Name one please! Let's face it, the system is bad. WE (THE MASSES) are not as handicapped as we assume. Our problem is understanding our capacity as a people. Look through history, especially with we black Africans; it was just a handful of Europeans that conquered our entire continent. That tells you something about the way we think as Africans. If care is not taking, we Africans will continue to be inferior to the whites. We are just too emotional to be reasonable for once. We seek succour in spiritism; praying to gods and resting on them to do things we normally can do by ourselves. God will not fight corruption in Nigeria, we can. God will not try corrupt leaders, it is up to us to do. God will not make Nigeria great, greatness lies within us as a people. We only have to realise it.

For those shouting karma, don't be decieved, karma doesn't apply to things of this kind. Ask your selves, how many of these people who ride on our collective wealth live miserable lives? How many of them do you find at Yaba left where patients beaten from frustration (from the system) are admitted on a constant basis? How many of them roam the streets? How many of their children fail exams in schools (they live in better environments that enable them study well and retain knowledge)? How many of them wake up in a single day and find that live less than a dollar? Be truthful while answering these questions, then, and only then will see you that karma has friends, and its friends are not the poor and oppressed of the society.

biolabee: Congrats to the cules...

Now to face the issues

A keeper - courtois or pantilimon (long term) short term is reina

A defensive partner with pique n puyol (1 in 5 games) - hummels? but this seriously deplete dortmund

A striker (ledosky - release villa)

Bring forward biscuits to the xavi role, let song handle 4

get in munian as long term inibaba successor
Busquets has always been my favourite for the Xavi role, but i doubt it would ever happen. The role is to be shared between Cesc and Thiago. They have understudied him for long not to be considered for the role.

Munian would make a great addition and he'd come cheap at that. Whether it would happen leaves so much to be desired.

On Hummels, yes, his departure would certainly deplete BVB. bUT THEN, one team's loss is another's gain. I prefer him to the injury proned and almost ageing T. Silva.

Dad is a former governor of the nation's foremost state (served 2 terms = 8yrs) and a leading politician; Mum is a serving Senator of the republic. Child schooled in far away United States. And yet, you tell me this god damned country will ever be good! I must be cursed to be believe in a future Nigeria. Our education is wallowing in continous rot and filth, yet this polithiefcians are staking claim to our collective intelligence. Shame on every Nigerian. All we ever do is pray and hope. All the way to go to Entrepreneural smartness and investment in high yielding ventures. Only those who diversify their trade emerge the most successful. Dr Dre and 50cent are both making millions from headphone endorsement and investments they have in their coffers. Little wonder, they make more money than Eminem.
CelebritiesDiddy Top's List Of Rap's Richest. by Mcleo007(op): 10:09am On May 10, 2013
Greatness comes with consistency in working towards things that are great, doing great things in ways that are great. That exactly is the truism with this case, as is evident in the list of top earners in the rap game.
After being fired from his executive position at Uptown, Diddy started his own record company, Bad Boy Records. The result today is hi$tory. His Net worth is $500 million. This peak stands him as the richest in the game. wink

Following closely to Diddy at No 2 is Jay Z. Co-founder of Roc-A-Fella records, Jay-Z is expected to reach the $1 billion benchmark in his lifetime. His Net worth: $475 million. cool

Others include;
No 3.

Christianity EtcThe God Question: There Was/is God Vs God Existed/exists. by Mcleo007(op): 6:21pm On May 09, 2013
God exists, yes I know. He doesn't exist in the form people take of him. If he ever existed, then he's dead but men carry his form and legacy through reproduction and being humans. This is so, as the human race reflects the design of a pre-existence that evolved over time and space. The physical, biological and chemical composition of the human person are pragmatic and in flux evolution.

God existed! He existed as the first human. He died as the first human to die, and he lives on as the first human to live on. The God question is a figment of the human mind; to answer to the questions he asks surrounding the marvels of his existence. How he came into being.

God was the first man, not Adam. He was a product of nature, not the other way round. He had an end, like every human. He had a beginning like every human. He existed in time like every other and lived within space. Time and space do no not exist. Were time to exist, it would do so in timelessness. There can only be a now. Now is endless and not bound by space. God existed! He was the first of our kind.

CelebritiesRe: D’banj Collaborates With Olamide; His Endless Struggle For Relevance Exposed by Mcleo007(m): 1:53pm On May 09, 2013
kingingkinging: Your post is apparently meant to boost don Jazzy's dying profile and sink D'Banj's.

After their separation, D' Banj has been nominated for more than 15 awards. He has won few of then including BET, MTV,World Music Awards, etc.

He released single for African Nations' Cup and was the geust artist there at the final.

He has been featured on foreign albums and has prospect in more.

He had sold-out concerts in London, Lagos and the US.

Don Jazzy also has been given an endorsement by Loyal Milk and Samsung.

Jazzy has released the first Mavin Album.

If you compare the two, by my assessment, D' Banj is leading. He has more personal success records than Don Jazzy.

D'Banj may get a good producer but it wont be easy for Jazzy to get a new D'Baj.

The final point is they both lost the synergy in their union. Both will suffer at the initial stage.
People seem to overlook D'banj's continous success since the break up. He remains a doyen in the music scene and would remain so for a very long time. It is easy to replace every Don Jazzy, but same can not be said for D'banj. If it were so, we would have had someone rise to the level D'banj had gotten to from within the Mavin camp. Much respect to Don Jazzy. Articles like this only foster mispositioned recluse to people that are worthy of sane mention.
CelebritiesRe: D’banj Collaborates With Olamide; His Endless Struggle For Relevance Exposed by Mcleo007(m): 10:07am On May 09, 2013
Such a needless article. Everything, i mean most of what you wrote indicates disdain. You appear to be stuck in the D'banj/Don Jazzy era. Get one thing, people move on and only constant factor in life is change. Even change itself changes. Dbanj is a smart business man. He knows what he wants nd has always gotten it. What you think or write about him would not change that fact. He's about the most successful music entrepreneurs to come out of this country.

specialguest: I find it kind of hard saying 'RIP' to someone who commits suicide... The only thing i can say is 'why' would anyone want to take his own life? It cant be that bad, there's so much to look forward to in life. No matter the circumstance, i would rather be 6 feet above the ground than below it.
You should have no problem 'RIPing' someone who took his own life. He sought for peace and has found it. Life is a simple constant! All things are intertwined and cyclic. We all we die one way or the other.
