Ive been going there. . . .the place looks like a 'pick-up' joint. Only a few kids will be adversely affected by the estrogen in the chicken (if any) the grub is damn too costly for the average joe. |
^^^ Thanks area thug ! @dominique Lets look carefully at the term HeteroZYGOUS ADVANTAGE. The advantage here is ''heterozygous'' im also AS and I can attest to you waht u said about little or no incidence of malaria. Ive not had since resettled here, about 3 years. Thats because we are HETEROZYGOUS ie AS. The S gene no doubt is resistant to malaria but when you have a homozygous SS that advantage is lost. Capish ? Believe you me, Sicklers DO come down with malaria at least in Nigeria. Take up face's challenge and visit a haematology ward sometime. You can lose your job prescribing heaven and earth for a sickler while leaving out malaria prohylaxis . I understand youre taliking from experience when you say you havent seen many SS with malaria but your experince isnt clinical or is it ? |
Hi again The photos arent the best quality. But I see dome-shaped growths, not just around your neck but also seem to be spreading to your chest and jaw area. Like I said, photo not very clear. If u want my best guess:it looks like Mulloscum Contagiosum the etiology is viral but,its self limiting, so dnt worry. I advise you get a dermatologist to do a skin scraping and examine it under a microscope to confirm. They should disappear on their own. But you could spread it to other people and other body parts before that happens. See your local dermatologist to confirm. In the meantime if my diagnosis is right, pls change your towels and beddings or a least disinfect them. For treatment options click http://www.aad.org/public/publications/pamphlets/viral_mollscum.html |
Hypnosis may help, as it does most bad habits. |
Hi I was just reading about 'pearl necklaces' (bukake lol !) below. Do you wear jewellry around your neck by any chance ? I mean impurities in 'gold' chains necklaces could bring on allergies. The first rule in dermatology is : if you cant see it you cant treat it. Post a pic of the rash here, im sure someone will be able to help you out after that. |
This man's desperation is getting out of hand. |
From my own understanding, the S gene is a mutation of the normal A gene in response to frequent malaria attacks which emerged probably hundreds generations ago. The evolutionary intention here was to create a super ''AS'' haemoglobin that would resist the malaria parasite. Of course the purpose was soon defeated when SS emerged as a result of combining AS with AS haemoglobin. I would say AS rather than SS have increased resistance to malaria. Infact sicklers tend to come down with malaria just as often as AA genotype people. |

OP Ive spoken to many homosexual people, male and female. Dont beat up yourself , its something they start at an early age and it becomes a life long addiction i know a few married men with more than 2 or 3 kids, hold down good paying jobs but cant stay away from guys half their age. Worse still, their wives of several years dont even suspect anything! Youre lucky you at least know now. The fact she told you she was into it in PH when she was young should have raised a red flag. Dnt believe she's delivered simply because some guy prayed for her. Most 'repentant' homosexuals will tell u this 'thing' (marine spirit) calls them back everyday, it depends on whether they strong enough to resist the call or not. Im no pastor, but I think praying together with her everyday will make her realise she's not fighting it on her own and make her stronger. |
This should be in the recycle bin. |
@Topic If youre that curious, why not dig up his casket and see if he's in there. |
Command You can locate the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (LAB) at 6 Edmond Crescent Yaba, off Murtala Mohammed Way. You can call them on 01 7744723 for directions. Its not hard to find so im told. Theyre around the Harvey rd Montgomery rd area. Im not sure how quick results are given but you mite be lucky to get them sooner rather than later. After, our phone conversation on monday i searched for a lab as there are quite a few trying to get one test or the other done. You never called back. I see you dont agree with some of my ways of doing things or appreciate my efforts so far. . . Nonetheless, remember to keep up your routine until you go for your test, whatever one you decide to do thers no reason you cant get what youre looking for with the information you already have.(see also the post by one 'Onyeara' below) If you have any queries about NIMR you can reach me offline. I will publish some new contact numbers next week but I will continue to visit/post considerably less on this section than previously. All the best. |

OP This is cheap april fool BS Stop it ! |
^^^ You must mean the number of them 'comin out' is on the increase. These ppl have been gay since early adolescence, nobody is trapping them. Most creative and showbiz ppl are gay anyways. as for Ricky Martin, wats d suprise ?? Couldnt you tell all these years watching him dance ? |
this thread is more than 4 yrs old. Is the OP still responding ? @ bluediva and faozidion There are rules for determining this, not hap-hazard random permutations. Theyre called the rules of MENDELIAN INHERITANCE. If AS and AS conjugate, according to the rules you get: AA, AS, AS, SS. This means you have a 1/4 chance of producing AA. 1/2 of AS. And 1/4 chance of SS. These are only CHANCES ie probabilities So Bluediva is right in that sense, you can end up with all AA. All SS or anything else in-between. Theoretically Theres a 25% chance of SS , so faozidion is rite also (as far as THEORY) goes. Life is a gamble that starts in-utero. |
I mentioned bodybuilding because its a comon mistake for short teens to take up this activity, thinking it will make them look bigger when in actual fact it fuses the ends of long bones and restricts vertical growth prematurely. I think above all, its your personality that counts. from what you wrote above you appear to have a good one. Also you can work on your carriage and comportment if youre worried about appearing to young. People will read into your body language and know youre no small boy. Youre only 22 , just wait until start to grow facial hair and everybody's calling you 'sa, sa'. Youll soon get tired. Abt checking your capacity for extra grwth, you can still call if you wish Cheers |

^^ That's good to hear ! Goodluck. |
Goodiz How short are u ? What are your parents heights ? Did you or do you body build ? The ends of your bones are suppossed to fuse before your 25th birthday but not necessarily at 22. Try taking up PILATES exercises, they make your back and limbs appear longer making you look and feel taller. You could also try to see if you still have some latent growth left in you - thats if your bones havent completely fused. Stimulate the pituartary gland meridian in your foot for two weeks and stop. If you experience any growth over the next 1 month then you know you can still grow before its all over. Someone even told me they sell shoe pads that do this now. If you need further explanations which I cant go into here , c |
Ok, about Cola drinks. Before I continue let me state for the record that I drink 10-12 cans a week. Depending on brand and country you can expect the following in your cola; - Sugar - Phosophoric acid - Aspartame - Saccharin - Caffeine SUGAR apart from the common obesity and diabetes we all blame sugar for, sugar has also been implicated in suppressing IMMUNE response. Studies showed sugar solution impaired the ability of white blood cells to ingest bacteria for up to 7 hours. Other health experts also claim drinking a can of cola provides enough sugar to suppress the immunity for 4hours. PHOSPHORIC ACID this upsets the normal levels of calcium in the blood , decrease of calcium often sets the stage for dental caries and osteoporosis ie brittle bones especially in kids. As this also acidifies the blood, it encourages growth microbes just as alkalinised blood prevents their survival. High phosphate has aslo been linked with damaged ateries. ASPARTAME Found in most 'Diet' colas, aspartame when ingested releases over 50mg of METHANOL not the ethanol found in booze. Methanol is known to cause neurological damage and blindness .experts have linked aspartame to 'Attention deficeit' in children. SACCHARIN Believe it or not , saccharin is a derivative of PETROLEUM. Its used because its many times sweeter than actual sugar. Unfortunately its been implicated as a carcinogen in many cancers including the pancreas. CAFFEINE A can of cola provides one with 45mg of caffiene which is enough to cause withdrwal symptoms after frquent daily intake. The symptoms of withdrwal are depression weakness muscle pain, tremors and PMS , to mention a few, according to johns hopkins university. SODIUM BENZOATE Used as a preservative, blamed as the cause of allergies like eczema, urticaria rash in soda drinkers. That notwithstanding, I still drink over 10 cans a week. |
Sweaty palms and feet is not a disease in itself but rather , it could be a symptom of some other more serious condition. Get yourself down to a drs office, have him take a good medical history and do conduct a full physical examination. After that, you'll be closer to if not determine the underlying cause of the sweaty extremities. Common diseases associated with this are metabollic/ endocrine : Hyperthyroidism. |
To answer your question on CD4 i ve pasted this excerpt. Please note the normal ranges. CD4 cells are a type of white blood cell that fights infection. Another name for them is T-helper cells. CD4 cells are made in the spleen, lymph nodes, and thymus gland, which are part of the lymph or infection-fighting system. CD4 cells move throughout your body, helping to identify and destroy germs such as bacteria and viruses. The CD4 count measures the number of CD4 cells in a sample of your blood drawn by a needle from a vein in your arm. Along with other tests, the CD4 count helps tell how strong your immune system is, indicates the stage of your HIV disease, guides treatment, and predicts how your disease may progress. Keeping your CD4 count high can reduce complications of HIV disease and extend your life. 33 Million People Now Live With HIV. How Did We Get Here? How HIV Affects CD4 Cells HIV targets CD4 cells by: - Binding to the surface of CD4 cells - Entering CD4 cells and becoming a part of them. As CD4 cells multiply to fight infection, they also make more copies of HIV - Continuing to replicate, leading to a gradual decline of CD4 cells HIV can destroy entire "families" of CD4 cells. Then the diseases these "families" were designed to fight can easily take over. That's when opportunistic infections are likely to develop. When to Have a CD4 Count Test Your doctor will recommend a CD4 count test: - When you're first diagnosed with HIV. This is called a baseline measurement. It allows you to compare against future measurements. - About two to eight weeks after starting or changing treatment. - Every three to six months after that (is a reasonable time interval). What the CD4 Count Test Results Mean CD4 counts are reported as the number of cells in a cubic millimeter of blood. A normal CD4 count is from 500 to 1,500 cells per cubic millimeter of blood. It is more important to pay attention to the pattern of results than to any one test result. In general, HIV disease is progressing if the CD4 count is going down. This means the immune system is getting weaker and you are more likely to get sick. In some people, CD4 counts can drop dramatically, even going down to zero. The test does not always correspond with how well you are feeling. For example, some people can have high CD4 counts and do poorly. Others can have low CD4 counts and have few complications. If your CD4 count goes down over several months, your doctor may recommend: - Beginning or changing antiretroviral therapy. - Starting preventive treatment for opportunistic infections. Public health guidelines recommend starting on preventive antiretroviral therapy if CD4 counts are under 200, whether or not you have symptoms. This is a later stage of HIV infection called AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Some doctors start therapy earlier, when the CD4 count reaches 350. If therapy is effective, your CD4 count should go up or become stable. Most doctors recommend starting medication for opportunistic infections at these levels |
The air really does sting, woke up to find furniture and cars covered in dust this morning. Its about 3 celsius cooler than it was last week. I think sulphur compounds are actually involved becuase there's an orange tinge in the sky. (IKOYI, Lagos) |
The keloid was probably managed with repeated intra-dermal injections of triamcinolone , a steroid. However, we cant say that this keloid never returned. Its very common to have a re growth after a long break from injections. Quite a few black men in the UK have this condition, they were all at one time treated with steroids but re grew the keloid later. They usually dont want to resume injecting because it is quite a painful procedure. You can get the files for zapping which run off windows OS from me. |
Since you only done a pregnancy test, I suggest you do a full hormonal profile to ascertain the level of estrogen, FSH, LH, Gonadotrophin, prolactin etc. In your system. Since an pelvic exam revealed nothing significant a hormonal assay is the next line of investigation now. I hope this isnt what you think it is. The hormonal picture in 'premature' ovarian failure is typically a high FSH High Gonadotrophin and a low oestradiol (oestrogen). OBGYN = obstetrician&gynaecologist. |
5 feet tall 50 KG ? Your Body Mass index is above 21 Your only mild, i guess you wanna 'fill out' some curves. Thats not an issue , call me with your daily diet and activity you only need to do 1 or 2 adjustments. |
well, first of all thank God you already have kids. when you say yove done tests, what tests? Have you been on the pill for an extended period ? Can you describe the 'hot flash' ? What's your libido like? You cannot rule out primary ovarian failure simply becuase of age but on the other hand its also quite rare. Your symptoms and the way your feeling are very subjective. Your best bet, See an OB/GYN. Who'll send to do a hormone profile at a reputable lab. |
What is ur weight and height '? 'Lepa' is a relative term. (lol) If u start on a high calorie and protein diet with a little 'impact' exercise you 'might' be able to add 2kg under 8wks, and 1kg every month after that. Mind you, genetics and metabolic rate have a role to play, some people are just born that way. But if ure painfully thin something could be done, adjustments to your diet will make a big difference. If you can give me a decription of your typical day's physical activity and diet I could come up with a regime for you that would pile on a few pounds for you - within the limits of what your genetics will allow.
