Isn't that what they wanted?
Thought it's Biafra or death. War is peace. We need the heat for us to appreciate peace better and tame our tongues.

I am not NK's fan but I like having a balanced view of issues.
The Non violent approach that IPOB preaches despite countless intimidations is making their popularity spread like wildfire. Can't you see that they have gained a positive recognition of Ohaneze Ndigbo and the attention of South Eastern Governors. can't you see that South Eastern NASS members are showing sympathy without knowing it by calling for demilitarising of SE. They are waiting for who will bell the cat.
Who killed Hausas in PH and why? The governor of Abia State has shown support for military by calling for a curfew in Aba and enforcement of same by military. IPOB has brought an ant-infested wood to their home and should be ready to hear suicide bombings soonest.

Who killed the Hausas in the north and why? South East and by extension Nigeria has always been peaceful until when? And do you think the S.Eastern NASS members will side with N.K when push comes to shove? The Abia State Governor called for curfew and asked Security agencies to enforce same curfew. He is an elite that has resorted to military for peace and calm in the state.

so do you think killing him will solve the problem. Can't you see that the guy doesn't rent crowd like all governors and politicians. Killing him is very easy but another with stronger guts will rise up. His aspirations is fast becoming a creed in South East. You don't defeat a creed with bullets. Ask history.
Well "power emanates from the barrel of a gun." IPOB killed Hausas in PH. If the "lion" is killed in retaliation, so be it. Una fit break the country after that, but first allow Hausas have their pound of flesh. No civilised person ask for violence but Hausa-Fulani never forgives.

Good development. Truth be told Osibanjo contributed a lot to improving the economy, but it's still Bihari's administration that gave Osibanjo- a technocrat- the opportunity to so do. Kudos to both. It will however take some time for the development to reflect in the life of the average Nigeria especially considering that fact that anything that goes up in Naija never comes down.
PoliticsRe: Police Deploy More Officers To South-East, S’south; To Stop Kanu From Fleeing by mcquin(m): 2:36pm On Sep 02, 2017
namet:
The Nigeria Police is a useless and incompetent outfit. Not long ago, the Inspector General of Police admitted shamefully that the Nigeria Police could not withstand Boko Haram and that Boko Haram had killed over 80, 0000 police officers, which is why the police decided to engage in mass recruitment.

Just like other useless Nigeria security outfits, the Nigeria Police pretends to perform when they are dealing with unarmed civilians. IPOB should stop deceiving themselves that Biafra can be achieved peacefully. Biafra can only come through violent means; that is to say that IPOB MUST USE GUNS AND AK-47s to defend themselves from the police and the Military.

The fact is that the inability of the Nigeria military to defeat Boko Haram has exposed the security outfits incompetence. Not being able to stop Boko Haram is proof that corruption has eaten up the heart and soul of the Nigerian armed forces. IPOB, just like Boko Haram, can deal a big blow to Nigeria by killing the Police in self defense.

Every IPOB member should arm himself at rallies. This is the only way the ZOO will fall quickly.
Kanu long ago solicited for weapons, in fact there were threads about you guys creating bombs when he first arrived, how come you lots are yet to deploy it? Instead you go around chanting you are unlike Bokoharam, you are not terrorist. The real truth is you lots are cowards. Bokoharam never made any noise, they just went about strapping detonators around their waist. When will you guys borrow leave from Boko-boys and do same? Kiss the truth, the north aren't cowards, they talk less and act. Stop talking, start acting.

I'm not an ethnic bigot by the way, but the guy I quoted got my goats.

And anything wrong in making him popular? Will he be less popular in his home town if they allow him walk the streets insulting other peace loving Nigerians. He violated his bail terms, he should go answer for it, leave the Fed to deal with his popularity.
I don't support the use of brute force, but do not disrespect the Constitution. Every other common criminal that violates the terms of his bail answers for it or his shorty does so in his stead, Many should do same.

Becos BSS match in front of Kanu house, so u daft people think dey started existing yesterday?

BSS have been around for years.

They only alerted Nigeria that they are now fully prepared.
But Nigerian Army has been killing Biafran supporters for a long time now even few days back. How come you never wiped out the Army? The North can do better than issue empty threat and chest-beat. I am however not a tribalist and against killings, but humility is a virtue and silence is golden.

If the energy we expend on tribal bigotry on this forum is channelled to tackle politicians, we will be better-off; but come out and watch persons support the House of Rep. on grounds that the Executive spend so much and are only using media to bully the Legislature.

You are wrong, doctors are not well paid and do not live above average. Average maybe
Going by Nigeria's economic-index, a doctor lives above average. I'm a lawyer and I can boldly tell you as a professional that we never enjoyed half of what doctors enjoyed even from service year. No other professional enjoyed what doctors enjoy.
Per-capital income of a doctor dwarfs the pay-cheque of every other professional.

I salute your patrotisim but there is a limit on how far you can go in Nigeria. The system just doesn't work. There is problem whichever direction you look and sometimes it appears there is no hope of things getting better. You have only one life to live.
Thank you for your very decent reply. But a sacrifice you want to benefit from is no sacrifice. What about making those sacrifices for your children. If you don't reap your sacrifice in this life, your kids will. There is always hope.

Nigeria is not worth sacrificing for. If those ruling us are not willing tonsacrifice their bogus salaries to free up resources to invest in our infrastructure then d sacrifice of just one person wud be so little to make any meaningful impact.
If u ve spoken with Nigerian professionals in d diaspora who really desire to make their contribution and how the govt wud frustrate d meaningful effort of such ones then u wud not be saying what u said.
The system is so rotten that it forbids progressive effort to make a positive change.
Nigeria is doomed.
Starting with your Account Name, it isn't fair at least to the sensibilities of the rest of us, even though I respect your right to having same. Nigeria will survive it's challenges, Amen. Going by your Analogy, Christ needed not go to the cross. The human race is marred in sin but Christ never saw the sacrifice at the Cross as a waste. Never say never. The tunnel always has an end and there will always be light at it's end.
HealthRe: NOIPolls: 88% Of Nigerian Doctors Seek Job Opportunities Abroad by mcquin(m): 12:12pm On Aug 04, 2017
Too bad. While I condemn the government already, many of us are so unwilling to make sacrifices. Other persons made sacrifices to better their country.
The Nigerian doctor lives almost above average and it's the only career professional in Nigeria that enjoys good privileges as job-guarantee and good pay.
We must all learn to live our country. I want to leave Nigeria only to improve myself, come back and give back to Nigeria as Awolowo and Azikiwe did. God bless Nigeria.

Much respect to all out traditional institutions that have tried to maintain our heritage. For this reason I respect our Presidents from OBJ to Jonathan to Buhari even though I disagree with their administrative skills.
It still pains me that I can't string a sentence in my dialectic- Efik ; as I have lost my root to my prolong stay in Edo, which state I respect as it has given me all I have. For that I say Oba gha' to kpe' ye'. Ise. I however can't explain what I will tell my children and how I'll prevent my mother-tongue from fading out in my family.
Much respect to the Ooni of Ife. May your efforts to improve the Yoruba race yield fruits. It's good to see real think-tanks on the traditional stool. However sir, when it comes to tradition, certain things can't be changed, they stay that way. May your reign be long.

If we call for sanctions, some will come here to discuss of how we'll suffer unemployment, they forget a good and respected name dwarfs food given to you on the floor. China understands this principle.
BusinessRe: Foreign Reserves Hit $30.5bn On Rising Oil Prices by mcquin(m): 9:52am On Jul 25, 2017
richie9093:
How is America the third next top exporter of oil when Canada is way above them in the current scheme of things in Oil production?

The truth is America's recent oil exploration and production has increased the supply of Oil in the global market coupled with the recent lifting of the embargo on Iran. During the embargo, Iran had millions of Oil barrels waiting to be sold; so when the embargo was lifted in 2014, the Oil market was in excess of supply thereby crashing the price.

The only way oil can go above $50 is if OPEC keep cutting production and also try to persuade US to cut production too.

I do agree with your last assertion that Oil isn't the future though. Nigeria has to diversify quickly.
My brother my apologies. No intent to misinform public but postulations reveal that by 2020, America will become 3rd net exporter of liquified natural gas around the world. This is possible if one juxtaposes this claim with Trump's recent policies on America's oil export.
BusinessRe: Foreign Reserves Hit $30.5bn On Rising Oil Prices by mcquin(m):
America is now world's 3rd next exporter of oil behind Russia. Nigeria has to go past oil in no time America's influence in the oil market considering especially it's political might around the world will push OPEC oil price down. I'm a strong pro-APC supporter but truth must always be told, science and manufacturing should be the main booster of our GDP and not oil.

Well, we have a president treating anaemia abroad for 50 days.

True, it will not happen in a country where democracy works. Ours doesn't work yet.

The economy is in worse shape since 25 years. Some actually saw it, not told by grandparents.

It wasn't this bad when Buhari overthrew Shagari in 1983.

Are you now saying he should be overthrown now instead of following rule of law and decide if he stays beyond 2019?

We must consider if to jettison rule of law completely or let it gradually mature into something better.

There is enough incompetence to go ppround.
I chose to stay within the issues of tackling corruption head-on and not governance in general. Perculiar situations deserve perculiar approach. This government came on the wings of tackling corruption and that was why many were sympathetic towards it, and so whatever means it requires to secure victory over the much dreaded monster, I'll welcome it. Have you asked yourself why the Nigerian Senate has refused death penalty for corrupt offences. Why use plea-bargain secure soft landing. Why do our politicians always fall ill at trial. My guy other climes have adopted tough measures to battle various national challenges. Funny thing is those holding to the Rule-of-law toga now were same persons encouraging GEJ to flout laid down procedures for political reasons. Some even asked him to remove Jega, supported his stopping legislators from accessing their offices; just because of politics; how did they suddenly become preachers of rule of law?

Magu is incompetent

It appears Magu lacks capacity to do his job within the rule of law, he is always at loggerhead with the courts and yet EFCC can not convict anyone without the courts

Magu is an incompetent tyrant who must be stopped

Buhari should go and look for a competent lawyer who understands the constitution
Democracy and rule of law does not work for every country and person. A country where politicians use rule of law to scuttle the process. Since birds learnt fly without perching, hunters learnt to shoot without missing.

My guy different names and even gestures mean different things around the world and no particular tribe or culture is superior to another. I won't rate German ahead of Efik my tribe. My point really is, even if funny in Ibo, it may mean something incredible in Yoruba and Yoruba is in no way second-fiddle to Ibo, so why try making a Yoruba with the name feel less human. Kubinuafo obong owo. We have forgotten our roots as a people cause of our disrespect for traditional institution. The Obong of Calabar is not a force to reckon with because we do not refer him. I grew up in Benin and understand how the Oba is seen as a deity. The Queen of England is still very much respected. Not here where a child can slap an Igwe.
