Op is right, we have Professors without PhD even in Nigeria. However, the new standard today in Nigeria is that you will bag your PhD first and in public universities you must have been in academics for a minimum of ten years and then your research works, anything you have written since you started putting pen on paper in that field will be sent out for assessment by other Professors in your field (three of them) then when their report comes back if two out of the three approve that you are worthy of that appointment then it will be awarded to you. But this is the ideal thing, I don’t know if it is still being followed. But I trust University of Ibadan and most first generation universities in Nigeria are still following that standard. 2. There is more to life than just the so called financial stability, there are people that are born into wealth but they are looking for happiness and joy that comes from a family
3. Op there are people that married when they are average and today they have blown beyond imagination
4. You can only see life as far as the path you are on, do you know that there are cycles in people’s life and if you observe families very closely you may notice their cycle. Some people will become highly successful in their late twenties, thirties, others in their fifties and yet others in their sixties. Once that person keep working and not being idle (you don’t even need to be extraordinary) at about that time little things that others have overlooked can blow the person financially.

A friend is calling off his wedding plans because he thinks his girlfriend lacks integrity. They have known for about 3years and he has not complained about her to me or any one.

Problem started when he got a call from the bank pleading with him to tell his girlfriend to reverse/return the excess amount credited to her account when she visited the bank to make a deposit into her account. He called his account officer to investigate the issue. The account officer confirmed that she got excess of what she wanted to deposit and she has moved all the funds to another bank.

Bro this is the era where the minimum qualifications for a private is School Cert. the implication of that is that the Oga’s should know they have more enlightened juniors now than those years of First School Leaving Certification soldiers.
