Politics › Re: "Dr" Goodluck Jonathan Is The Reason Nigeria Economic Is in Crisis by meccuno: 3:14pm On Aug 31, 2021
[s].
thebosstrevor1:
Past president Goodluck Jonathan is the reason, you are all suffering today.

Goodluck Jonathan who claimed he walked bare footed all through his life until he became the president of Nigeria, preceded the country when oil was was at its highest price, instead of Jonathan to save, he was busy giving out money to pdp supporters, his tribe men and south easterners, they were balling and importing women from all over the world, organizing party, buying luxury cars, drinking champagne and not saving any money for the future. The goodluck presidency didnt built one single infrastructure. At the end of Goodluck Jonathan presidency, oil price have fallen, he gave Buhari a already depleted foreign reserve, a boko haram crisis which he created and a crumbled Economy.

If Jonathan had saved just like what his minister of finance was telling him, we won't have been in this mess, we wont have been borrowing from the imf, we would have had enough foreign exchange to fight against the fall in oil prices, enough foreign exchange for legitimate business men and better infrastructures.

Anyway, people who are controlled and brainwashed by the media won't see the truth because the media has turned the story to be about Christians and muslims or this tribe against another.

[s] [quote author= post=105350939]These are tyrants, not muslims.
The problem with terrorism is some group of tyrants and fanatics believes they are the chosen one by God to commit mass murder in the name of God.
The other problem is, some other ones have this ‘See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil’ attitude on terrorism.
At the end of the day, as long as people believes their religion is the only true religion and all others are false, there will be no world peace, no end to terrorism and all anti-terrorism effort will be futile.

All terrorists all over the world and in our darling nation will Never end well in life.
Miserable and premature end await them all.
Along with anyone supporting them.

Grayoso:
For the pragmatic and thinking man, it is the best option by far. Easiest to achieve and bloodless.

The problem is that most Nigerians, as much as we like to view ourselves intelligent, don't really know how to deploy a pragmatic and problem-solving mentality to gain solutions we are looking for.

Everyone is shouting Biafra, Oduduwa Republic, Ijaw Republic etal ostensibly because they feel other Nigerians are holding them back granted that is true in some cases.

If we calm down and think intelligently it will be obvious an over-powerful central system of Governance is the problem because it can always be easily hijacked, easily 'ethnicised' and easily compromised by the wrong Presidency.

Too much power in the hands of one man, in a very ethnically and culturally/religiously divided nation, whose peculiar thinking, mindset and biases may serve the interest of a few while impeding the progress of many millions in different States and regions of Nigeria.

The solution is simple. Devolve power to the region and States by weakening our current centrist system of governance. Take virtually all powers away from the Presidency and federal government and vest it in States and region of Nigeria.

This is what Nigerians should fight for as it is holistic and fundamental restructuring of Nigeria. It will mean States and regions can control their own police Force, natural resources, socio-economic policies etal to aid a pace of growth that will be secured on their own potentials, focus and dedication to achieving success.

No Nigerian lives in a place called federal Government. We live in States and region that have names and are full of people with diverse ethnicity, religion and backgrounds. It is imperative then to empower States and regions appropriately to facilitate the growth and development of Nigeria.

Doing that essentially breaks down Nigeria into mini nations within which 'affiliated people' can control their own destiny better.

Mohammed Fawehinmi, the first son of the late human rights lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, died from COVID-19 related complications, his family has said.
The 52-year-old lawyer died at about 9:00 a.m. last week Wednesday, after a brief illness in a Lagos hospital.
However, in an update to what led to his demise, Saheed Fawehinmi, the younger brother of the deceased who spoke on behalf of the family, disclosed at a news briefing at his residence that he died from COVID-19 complication, NAN reports.
Fawehinmi said the family could not immediately disclose the cause of the death because they wanted the information to be based on factual medical details.
He said: “Today, however, we are in a position to inform you that our dear brother died from COVID-19 related complications.
“Arising from this, we want to urge all Nigerians to take necessary precautions to avoid being infected by the deadly disease, including, but not limited to taking the required doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
“The public should ensure the wearing of face masks, regular hand sanitising, hand washing with soap and maintaining social distance amidst the crowd.”

i know most of our brothers in the southern Nigeria want the SS or ND to be part of their struggle for secession but it can not happen because we believe in a better system. We don't want the nation state of either Biafra or Oodua we want a United States Of Southern Nigeria.

I have read most comment, especially from the biafra people wanting SS to be part of the Biafra struggle but in reality, it would not work.

If the southern states are divided into biafra and Oodua the north can still easy conquer the two state, one at a time. We in the SS know this and we are very careful not to be at the losing side.

But if collectively we are all united, we have a better fighting and winning chance.

Most of the comment i do read is just people say things without thinking it through and strategizing.

Give the SS or ND people a better proposal and see if Nigeria would not end within a short period. Don't get me wrong, we can not do it along and we can not do it sectionally. We need the collective unity of southern Nigeria with strategic cooperation from the north especially the midbelt and Nigeria would be a done deal...

There are certain things i can not say here, but we need a covert system to share ideas and information
[/s] You are talking jargons. Why haven't the North conquered Benin Republic or Cameroon. Rubbish
