9jatriot:well call it baby step, its a move in the right direction. A new born baby learns to sit before crawling, take a step and then walk. If we have been able to start baby steping in our war against corruption then I think its just a matter of time before we start walking. They can call it one sided or witch hunt. The war must continue, sanity and probity must return to this country. |
omenka:thank you, I think there is more covert corruption in the judiciary than anyother arm of government. The point remains that we nigerians must stand up and fight it to a standstill. It has nothing To do about whether we hate Buhari or not. It is about supporting him to flush this evil that eaten up our national life out of uS. Some people who doesn't wnt anything good for this country will come and tell us that arresting judges is a rape on rule of law. |
segalex:am in total support of your post bro, the prejudice and biase mind we have in this country is our greatest problem. Everything is right if it is not in our backyard, when that same thing comes to our backyard it becomes an anomaly. That is ridiculous. This abang judgement didn't come today and if mimiko saw no reason to appeal it and it bounced back at him, it is totally his problem. This is an entirely PDP internal affair, let them solve it. Pls let's stop dragging APC and Buhari into every issue in the polity. Am not holding brief for them, buh we need and must be objective in our analysis of public affairs. That iS the only way forward for we Nigerians. |
It gives me much joy seeing life and normalcy return to Bama and the northeast. They shall be great again and Nigeria will be better off. |
Bloomberg is one of those who never supported the emergence of this government. They publish what will tarnish the image of the country under Buhari. Yet in all their publications I have not seen where they said anything that will help the nation. I think its high time when we nigerians stopped listening to the negativities of this recession and focus on those things that will get us out of it and also have the believe and confidence that we will get out of it and be better off. Let's not continue to cause more tensions, as there are much tensions already. As for bloomberg and other media houses who see nothing good in our country, I dnt care about them. I know this country will be great and I will be a partaker. |
This Ethnic bigotry will never take us anywhere, rather it will lead to Ethnic cleansing. Can't we just make our comments and opinion without being prejudiced with ethnic background. |
Dino cannot do anytyn for his constituency. That's why he said his constituency will stone him and he is putting all the blame on another person. We also need to know if those plagues were given on merit or bought by him. |
siraj1402:when you take away this amount of money from the treasury, why won't we be in recession. |
If the ijaws gave igbos identity through jonathan, it means igbos have no identity at all. Obi is a total shame to the igbo race for saying that. Ndigbo should wake up and be alive to making the world know that jonathan failed the igbos and Nigerians at large. Most times I wonder why the igbos support jonathan the way they do, even more than the ijaws. IGBOS. Wake up |
The only flop on that list is Dalung, he doesn't even know his job description and maybe adebayo shittu and aisha alhassan. The others are not flops. |
A proud son indeed, he won't Even be at hi fathers burial And you call him a proud son. May you have a proud son who will be a fugitive all his life. RIP to the dead. |
I just raise my hart for anambra government. This is what we are talking about, we must be self sufficient in those things we can produce. Am glad anambra is taking the lead in the south east. |
A step in the right direction. Paying our counterpart funds for project in the country shows that we are serious about infrastructure in the country. The pains now might be much, but I have no doubt that we are on the right part. Good one Amaechi. |
May God bless you and your patiotism for this country. You are one of the few wealthy nigerians who is championong local production. We will Get there. |
Jorussia:. Yes, the reason why its seems like people are not feeling the impact of this government is because of the increase in the prices of foodstuffs. It is a temporary effect that requires patient. |
erico2k2:In as much as I believe that this is not the time to search for crude in the NE, its not enough reason for us to lose hope. We just entered recession and we want to lose hope of a recovery, how then do we intend to come out of it. A lot is being done but like I said its just a matTer of time before we see the effects. We are not the only oil producing nation experiencing this pain. We are even a bit lucky. Let's exercise some patient. |
HAH:. The reason why the dollar is on the high is because of the excess demand for it. We uSe it to import things we can produc. |
krazykoons:. Am glad there are still people out there who believe that we are heading the right way and that the pains of today is making us think out of the box to profer solutions to our numerous problems. I know for sure that this change is for real and we will get there |
erico2k2:. Am not happy with the whole situation either. We must know why we are where we are now. The shortage of foreign currency caused by both internal and external factors are the reasons for that. We must therefore put in place measures that will reduce our over dependence on those things that we require foreIgn currency for, especially in areas where we have comparative advantage. That I believe the government has started and its just a matter of time before we begin to see the effect. This will certainly not Get to 2019, Quote me on dis. |
Lighthouseman:. Well, I know d pains of the years of mismanagement won't go away in a day, buh am so sure it won't laSt so long and it certainly won't Get to that point. |
GuyfawkesAB(m): I wonder why we Africans, especially Nigerians always want to have everything in the short term. We are inimical to waiting patiently with our sights on the outcome in the long run to see things turn around and sustaining it. For us, any thing that doesn't happen kiakia is a failure. I'm so happy that the current recession has sent a lot of people back to the land- I just came back from Osun, where I met quite a lit of young people who have left the cities to come and plant Cucumber, Cassava, Maize, Pineapple and Plantain and already excited by the prospective yield and the profit. You need to see what us happening in Venezuela, an oil producing country like ours that was totally dependent on oil. Over 50,000 Venezuelans crossed into Colombia because of hunger. We are still surviving here, albeit in pains, bu seeing signs of a hopeful recovery. Let's keep praying and supporting initiatives like this that we ensure our sustenance in the long run and make Nigeria great gain GuyfawkesAB(m): I wonder why we Africans, especially Nigerians always want to have everything in the short term. Buh I know it will be good. |
@Lighthouseman, according to you, if jonathan projects who spent six years is just materializing. How come you expect a government that have not spent two years to fulfill its campaign promise. You just shot your foot. All I know is that things will take CHANGE. |
Ike Ekwerenmadu Is from Enugu state and one expect him to make a clear and decisive statement about this herdsmen attack in Enugu, considering the fact that he is the deputy senate president. Am surprised at what he is not doing or saying anything meaningful. |
Good move, igbos should stop looking at the central. Let's look inward and solve our problems. I just hope it won't b politicized. The development of igboland should go beyond party affiliation. May God help us. |
Its a pity how people allow bigotry and hatred to becloud their sense of judgement and reasoning. The president has the right to seek special powers at this critical point of our economy. Most of what the bill wants to achieve is part of the problem of the economy. Who doesn't know the problem of the procurement act which delays contract executions in the country, also the issue of contract mobilization and the money in UBEC lying idle while our schools are decaying and others. The president has moved in the right way, I even expect the national assembly to cut short their recess and reconvene, the economy is in recession, no time for holiday on their part. This government will get it right, the pains won't last, that am sure of. |
I think APC ShoulD nt talk about imposition or zoning. What. Should be uppermost in their is how to win the election. ThEy. Should look more at voting strenght Of the various diStrict before picking. A candidate. |
@Henry boyo, thank you for the insight analysis of the inherent disadvantages of devaluing the Naira. Its only those who are not in tandem with the Nigerian economy and state of the naira that is calling for its devaluation. Someone should please tell the louded mouth governor fayose that the issues of the naira and our economy is not an issue that is handled at Garages where his colleagues are, but a national issue that require the input of reasonable people like boyo. Fayose can contribute any day he becomes refined. |
