Goodday everyone, I want to ask if it is possible to add dependants after an application has been made. Elaborately, I am already in the UK and my wife is about to join me. Meanwhile, while filling out my visa application, my wife was the only dependant I used. After getting to the UK, I was discussing with someone about being the one taking responsibilities of my brother's bill in Nigeria because of the state of the country. However, he has two kids. Then I was told I can use my brother's kids as my dependants since they are really depending on me, so I could invite them. My question now is, since I didn't include in my application, is there a way I could include it now that I am granted a visa and already in the UK? Thanks |

Good day everyone, My wife is joining me but I'm yet to get an accommodation. While filling the form I was asked about where I will leave with my partner. Unfortunately, I have not gotten an apartment for us but leaving with a family friend. My question now is, will there be any document or prove requested from us if we fill the current apartment I live with my family friend, because they are also couples. Thanks |

Dear Nairalander, thanks for your supports so far. My situation is a bit hard but I need your advice. I completed my MSc in the UK in September 2019, I resumed in Germany for another study. I came to Nigeria(planned 2 weeks) and got stuck because of Corona(Visa&temporary BRP also expired). I thought it was over and I won't be able to return to Germany because I left without my BRP(it takes months to get it in Germany). I submitted applications for MSc in the UK and I never mentioned I am a student in Germany because I felt won't go back. Just a few hours ago, I got my German BRP. I intend to either drop my Germany programme or combine the 2. I have always been scared that my Visa might be denied because I didn't declare studying in Germany. I am also thinking I should communicate with my UK school about applying for my UK Visa in Germany since it was easier for me to move from the UK to Germany. Does it make sense to apply in Nigeria than in Germany or I should use my German address and book my Visa appointment in Germany? Thanks. I am also scared of my visa application in Nigeria because I will be applying with my family in Nigeria(ECO might feel I won't return to Nigeria(travelling with a 4 weeks old baby)). Can I apply from Germany while my family are submitting Visa applications in Nigeria at the same time or they should wait till I get my Visa in Germany |

Hi everyone I am scared that Visa might be rejected because If I am asked about my source of maintenance fund, I would mention my wife and that she is a medical doctor I am thinking the ECO might claim I am not a genuine student because my wife can easily change her dependant visa to Tier 2 work Visa. What can I do please? Thanks in advance |

Hi everyone I need help. I am scared about the dynamic exchange rate of dollars and nairas. My deposit with maintenance funds(wife and I) costs GBP24255. I have 5 million naira and $21500 in my accounts. Do I need to add more naira due to the varying currencies rates. Can my wife and I apply together even though she would travel 2 months after I have travelled. How should she answer my visa expiry date even though I am yet to get a visa while she is applying. Thank you. 1 Like |

Good day experts in the house, kindly help me from your experience. I have two questions First is that I am currently in Germany studying but plan to go study in the UK. Already have my unconditional offer. Can I be in Germany while I apply for myself and my spouse? She is currently in Nigeria. Or do I have to go to Nigeria first then apply. Because I want her to accompany me as a dependant. I plan to file the application at the same time, so we could leave together. Secondly, if I am filing my application, how much do I need to calculate as her living cost and for how many months? Thanks so much in anticipated response. |

Good day house... Please I need a well detailed advice from the gurus here. I currently study in Germany. Just started however in this Summer April. Masters in Mathematics. However I have a Masters degree in Mathematics already from Unilag. I'm married without kids. But presently I'm finding the Masters program tough here coupled with the fact that I must work to pay bills. I was planning to bring my wife to Germany on a reunion visa and the process is hell. And it wouldn't make sense for both of us to be on a student visa here in Germany. Now, I have resided to relocate to Canada with my wife who's still in Nigeria. I need a clear process to go about this. I also want to ask that if my wife goes for the ielts and file for the family, will my MSc count since am under her. And in all what's the best way to go about this. I seriously need your contributions. Thanks in advance 4 Likes |
