BlackfireX:Falana is a billionaire but choose to fight common causes, he is known and renowned worldwide, Falana has been fighting against the military government, trying to entrench justice, democracy and equality, perhaps before dem born you...all these religious bigot fighting others cause they talk about a cleric, you and boko Haram no difference. |
Leverage2021:Please be objective, he is a lawyer working for the dead boy's parents. |
Military or not, have your access control systems in place, and if someone is shooting at you, shoot first, ask questions later. |
Normal. |
US is a perverted country, if not for the dollar and their power none will go there, if 18years is not young enough for you, then get ready for trouble with the law. |
Every state must have it's state police and start taking back urchins from other regions back to their region. Those that want to destroy themselves via bigotry and tribalism should be allowed to do so. |
This was what was reported...all Nigerians owe the country patriotism, most especially clerics and politicians. |
BigDawsNet:This is out of the context of the post, not here to exchange baseless banters. Bye. |
BigDawsNet:Wishing economic sanctions is an evil wish for your people back home...you should be enlightened than this ![]() |
The federal government must demand this from our Allies, otherwise we can not be allies. International relations is all about National interest. The foreign minister must arise to it's responsibility. |
BigDawsNet:The economic sanctions will make life harder for you, lol, I don't think intervention from outside is what we need. Most of our problems is due to intervention of IMF etc ![]() |
MufasaLion:Define beauty? Don't be blinded by illusion, see what true beauty is... |
Respect to the man, who speak truth to power. I sight you Abdul Kareem, hook up with MI throw one banger. No dull am baba. |
Happy girl, good. |
BigDawsNet:You are talking out of context, your comparison is not reasonable. If UK wants to help any side, it is the Nigerian government, perhaps they are doing that underground...they can not side with terrorists. IPob against Nigerian government is proscribed terrorists group against a legitimate country, and killing of innocent Nigerians by IPob amounts to genocide. International community are taking notes, they know what is going on. |
Sleekfingers:People don't understand that we are on our own in Nigeria, dem dey wait for UK to help us clean our mess, so many myopic people ![]() |
ndukwejoe: ![]() |
BigDawsNet:These are terrorist attacks, what they will do is assist Nigerian military and help in humanitarian effort. Honk Kong case was not a case of terrorism against the state, the Hong Kong people were protesting peacefully without weapons... there is a big difference. How else do you expect them to respond ![]() |
Laurene:Everyone knows their ledge... common street principle, everyone have different rank. Respect and observing the rules of the street game is what will keep you alive... |
This their big mouth, always putting them in big problems, but they never stop talking nonsense, just do what you want to do ![]() |
We need decisive action,. actions that will put fear in the hearts of terrorists. |
Sir Femi Falana is an adult and free to speak his mind. Sir Femi Falana has done a lot for Nigeria in terms of enhancing rule of law and democracy. I respect the man. After Gani Fawehinmi it is Sir Femi Falana, they are the only true advocate of the masses. It's all about what you do for society. |
Jazzman01:Stop talking like a kid, who have you heard burna have issues with, he only picks on people he knows won't harm him seriously...all those antics with Davido don't count, till he squares off someone tough... |
Terry G is more rugged than most of them, then reminiesce, Olamide... |
Gumi, you are contradicting yourself, if your actions helped, why did they kidnap your brother. |
In advanced nations government policy is trying to curb bullying across the country, countries like the UK, and US have robust national policies against bullying, that schools must implement to fight the ugly menace of bullying. In America there are 50 states with at least a policy that require schools to have a bullying prevention policy. But a policy, alone, is not enough. Despite the requirement, there’s been a slight uptick in all forms of bullying during the last three years. Bullying can look like experienced basketball players systematically intimidating novice players off the court, kids repeatedly stigmatizing immigrant classmates for their cultural differences, or a middle-school girl suddenly being insulted and excluded by her group of friends. Bullying has led to depression of thousands of kids in a space of 5 years, and the trend has grave effects on the mental well being of the child. Bullying occurs everywhere across all schools, al over the world. Bullies exist even in the highest-performing schools, and it is hurtful to everyone involved, from the targets of bullying to the witnesses—and even to bullies themselves. A recently tragic event occured in Nigeria, in Dowen college, a highbrow private school, where a pupil pays about 3000 USD, a year for tuition, a junior high school student of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni was tragically murdered by school mates, who repeatedly pummeled, and beat him, till he had debilitating health effects, which he succumbed to eventually. 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, a student of Dowen College Lekki Nigeria, tragically succumbed to his injuries, as a result of bullying in his school. Must we wait for more tragic events to take actions? How long can we continue to loose our kids, to suicides and tragic initiation accidents that has led to the death of scores? The world, Nigeria needs a anti bullying policy, this will put further pressure on leaders of nations to implement strong policies for schools, and ensure those policies are carried through. Proper monitoring of pupils by supervisors, showing keen concern about information, and being sensitive, by spending more time around the pupils in a boarding college is key, schools must provide materials and funds to ensure proper monitoring is key, CCTV cameras can be installed in areas to discourage acts of bullying. Yes actions are being taken, thankful for that, this is why October is National Bullying Prevention Month, so it’s a good time to ask ourselves: What are the best practices for preventing bullying in schools? That’s a question I explored with my colleague Marc Brackett from the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, in a recent paper that reviewed dozens of studies of real-world bullying prevention efforts. Modern approaches to bullying prevention As we discovered, not all approaches to bullying prevention are equally effective. Most bullying prevention programs focus on raising awareness of the problem and administering consequences. But programs that rely on punishment and zero tolerance have not been shown to be effective in the U.S.; and they often disproportionately target students of color. Programs like peer mediation that place responsibility on the children to work out conflicts can increase bullying. (Adult victims of abuse are never asked to “work it out” with their tormentor, and children have an additional legal right to protections due to their developmental status.) Bystander intervention, even among adults, only works for some people—extroverts, empaths, and people with higher social status and moral engagement. Many approaches that educators adopt have not been evaluated through research; instead, educators tend to select programs based on what their colleagues use. We found two research-tested approaches that show the most promise for reducing bullying (along with other forms of aggression and conflict). They are a positive school climate, and social and emotional learning. See full article articulating solutions- https://uptownmediainc.com/finding-ways-to-end-the-menace-of-bullying-in-schools/ |

Remember we recently posted about the secrecy and mystery surrounding bitcoin founder, well it seems that mystery has been unraveled. Craig Wright, a computer scientist who claims to be the inventor of Bitcoin, prevailed in a civil trial verdict on Monday against the family of a deceased business partner that claimed it was owed half of a cryptocurrency fortune worth tens of billions. Craig Wright has always kept his identity as bitcoin owner a secret, but the lawsuit with a partner dragged him out. A Florida jury found that Wright did not owe half of 1.1 million Bitcoin to the family of David Kleiman. The jury did award $100 million (€88.6 million) in intellectual property rights to a joint venture between the two men – a fraction of what Kleiman’s lawyers were asking for at trial. David Kleiman died in April 2013 at the age of 46. Led by his brother, Ira Kleiman, his family has claimed David Kleiman and Wright were close friends and co-created Bitcoin through a partnership. At the center of the trial were 1.1 million Bitcoin, worth approximately $50 billion (€44.2 billion) based on Monday’s prices. These were among the first Bitcoin to be created through mining and could only be owned by a person or entity involved with the digital currency from its beginning – such as Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Now the cryptocurrency community will be looking to see if Wright follows through on his promise to prove he is the owner of Bitcoin. Doing so would lend credence to Wright’s claim, first made in 2016, that he is Nakamoto. I have followed this story closely, and I have always had the hunch that Craig is Nakamoto, well we are all releaved, that the secret has been revealed. See the previous post on the subject here- https://uptownmediainc.com/bitcoin-who-created-this-cryptocurrency/
