honeric01:really? I dey Ogunsanya o. We do share a lot in common ![]() Dis Guy: honeric01:The whole thing is so confusing. I don't know if Baribote will be eligible to contest the election now because he has been removed as Bayelsa's chairman except they look at it in retrospect. Will Owumi be eligible to contest now? I know in two weeks time the elections would not have held. . . Bukola Babes have relocated to the Tafewa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi as their new home ground after the Bako Kotangora Stadium, Minna was deemed unfit to hold premier league matches. Bukola Babes had earlier moved from the Offa Township Stadium, Offa, Kwara. Niger Tornadoes have also moved to the Kaduna Township Stadium |
Such guys are everywhere, it's isn't strictly a Nigerian thing. There are also guys that would have said "excuse me" in a similar situation in Nigeria |

Nigeria removes Premier League chief After weeks of tussle over the chairmanship of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) at its annual general assembly quashed the election that brought Davidson Owumi (pictured) into office. SuperSport.com was informed that the executive committee of the Nigerian FA recommended to its general assembly holding in the southern town of Nigeria in Uyo that the election of Owumi as Premier League chairman be annulled. This development means that Owumi ceases to be the chairman of the Premier League until a fresh election is conducted into the office of the chairmanship. The football federation executive committee adopted the recommendation of the arbitration panel chaired by Akin Ibidapo-Obe. A communiqué issued at the end of the congress read: "The committee considered and upheld the 21st June, 2010 award of the Professor Ibidapo Obe Arbitration Tribunal set up by the Nigeria Football Federation on the Nigeria Premier League leadership tussle. The NFF executive committee has therefore ordered for fresh elections to be conducted into offices of chairman of NPL and chairman of chairmen of NPL within 14 days and in full compliance with the NPL statutes. "The remaining NPL board members should continue to run the affairs of the NPL without let or hindrance in the ongoing 2010/11 Premier League season." Owumi told SuperSport.com that he will not challenge the decision to annul the election that brought him into the NPL chairmanship office. "There's no problem with the decision. I thank God for what has happened. I accept the decision and look forward to the future," said Owumi. Chairmanship candidate of the annulled election, Victor Rumson Baribote, expressed happiness at the decision and described it as victory for football administration in the country. He added that the rule of law has finally prevailed saying that he will not stop at making sure the statutes are followed to the letter when the re-run for the NPL vacant seat takes place in two weeks. “The full weight of the rule of law has taken place. It is not a personal victory but victory for football and football administration as well as victory for the rule of law and for those I represent," said Baribote. Owumi's ouster from office leaves the vice chairman, Shehu Gusau, in acting capacity as chairman of the Premier League. http://naijaligue..com/ |
Good choice, even though it has 'quota system' written all over it. Salisu Yusuf led Pillars to a 2nd place finish in the league last season and was amongst Siasia's coaching crew to Egypt. Ike Shorunmu, ex eagles goalkeeper. Not bad IMO |
same 'ol gaynners |
Hodgson just has to go. How do you explain a home loss to bottom of the table placed Wolves? This is unstomachable! Bring back Rafa |
This is really sad. I heard he's been terribly incapacitated and may never play again. So unfortunate |

khanye:LOL. My fb account was blocked a while back, I have not been able to reactivate it since then but here's my e-mail: ogbeboru@yahoo.com AjanleKoko:Aj, it's just that most people think Barca started 'having mouth' during the Rijkaard era not knowing we've been 'running things' for a very long time. Check out the design for our away jersey next season. I read that the decision to go for White was influenced by the Qatar Foundation because the Qatari national team wears white

chic2pimp:How did you arrive at that conclusion? The gloryhunters are the EPL fans and Chelsea fans especially. Most EPL fans are post DSTV/Sky Sports fans and most Chelsea fans are post Abrahamovic/Mourinho Chelsea supporters. Barca are a traditional European powerhouse so most of the fans go way back. Barca has the highest number of European Cup Winners Cup trophies(4) and has always been a dominant force in the CL. We won the CL in 92 and were runners up in 94. We have always had outstanding players from way back like Stoichkov, Luis Enrique, Quinni, Laudrup, Romario, Ronaldo, Kluivert, Figo, Rivaldo etc. I have always been into Spanish football and have been a Barca fan since 2002 when we lost to Real in the CL s/final khanye:Oga Khanye, permission to take care of your babe in your absence? ![]() |
daylae:with my lightning speed, I will have him gagged before he tries to move a finger. . . @op: say hi to her |
Anyone that compares Prof. Dora to IBB is completely insane. Her track record as DG NAFDAC speaks for itself |
Great news! I didn't get the old one |
